Everyone dreams of knocking items off their infinite “bucket list.” Recently, I had the opportunity to do just that. I hit two birds with one stone. I was able to visit the place where I was born; a rare chance to see the land of my birth. And also got a chance to see one of the coolest hotrod/bike shows out there.

Where did I go? Yokohama, Japan. Ever since Norio joined the shop crew, we have discussed the possibility of going to Japan to see the famous Yokohama show. With Norio leading the way, an awesome opportunity to have someone born and raised in Japan leading the way had presented itself. He gave us a tour of Japan that only a local could provide. Norio’s navigation of Japan made the trip a “bucket list” item that was truly worth checking off.

The show itself was a blast. The people and the culture made it even better than I could have ever imagined. When I saw all the old Shovel Head, Pan Head, and Flat Head motors, I knew this place was my Nirvana.

To top it all off, they had a special tribute to Volkswagen that was beyond sick. It was a throwback to all those old Volkswagens styles. This trip was surely one I will remember. Japan is a place that I recommend everyone visits at some point in their lives. Besides the cool bikes and awesome food, the culture is amazing to behold.
