A longtime motorcycle dealer from Michigan is close to finalizing a deal to open the first Indian dealership in Tampa Bay.
The dealer — who requested anonymity because of a confidentiality agreement with Polaris Industries, which owns thebrand — said he expects to be selling the high-end bikes out of a 10,000-square-foot store on SR 54 at U.S. 41 in Land O’ Lakes in nine months.
He closed last week on a 6.8-acre tract, 2.3 acres of which is buildable, for $150,000. He was represented by Philip A. Letelier of Andretta Properties. The seller was Keystone Church, which will be next door to the new dealership.
