Scottsdale resident, six-time motorcycle land speed record holder and one of the world’s fastest BMW racers, Valerie Thompson, will appear at the inaugural Arizona Sports Fan Expo at the University of Phoenix Stadium on June 28-29. Thompson will be available for photos and autographs at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) display booth as a special guest of Green Lightning Organic Fertilizers throughout the event. Thompson recently set her sixth land speed racing record at the Ohio Mile with a blistering speed of more than 208 mph on her BMW S 1000 RR, shattering the previous record and becoming the newest female member of the prestigious ECTA 200 MPH Club. Thompson’s fame on America’s most famous racecourses is preceded by her TV exposure as a vehicle presenter at Scottsdale’s world-renowned Barrett-Jackson Auction Company LLC and Metro Auto Auction.
“This will be another wonderful new sports event for the Phoenix area and I’m delighted to be a part of it. In addition to Green Lightning and MMI, hundreds of exhibitors with sports oriented products and services will sell and display wares on the stadium floor. The event will feature the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Rattlers interactive activities and showcase team personalities, cheerleaders and mascots.
Event highlights will also include The Ultimate Fan Cave, Tailgate Party Pavilion, Video Gaming Wall, Sports Photo Booths, Money Zone, Kids Camp and live entertainment on multiple stages. Team chef demonstrations and player autograph sessions will also available to the pubic.
