Whats It Take, Part 2

ChaCha
Me and ChaCha.

(True story-Dates might be off a little.)

I named every bike I ever had, since the first 20-inch bicycle to the present. What’s this all about, ya say? Read on and you’ll learn valuable advice. If ya do learn, send me a dollar. If ya don’t, no charge.

December 2003– Unfortunately, divorce is inevitable. She fuckin’ dumped me, and I waited for her to get over her anger. Didn’t happen. Got the cold shoulder, no love, no smiles, no warmth or affection. Nothing.

March 2005 – Had to sell Nellie (my 2003 Bagger) cuz divorce and child support is gonna be sky high when I finally do file for divorce. OUCH ! It hurt getting rid of Nellie (my bagger). Not the wife.

My nine year old little boy was hurt that I had to sell her. He misses her too. I explained best I could to him. There’ll be another one (bike I mean). He has bikes and a cool chopper of his own he cruises the neighborhood with.

April 2005 – I finally woke the fuck up when she said, “I never would have married you, if I knew you were gonna be like this.” Straw that broke the camel’s back, ya might say.Beats the shit outta me what I did. I mean, I’m a helluva nice guy!

April 2005 – I filed for divorce. Don’t regret it. Funny how feelings make ya hurt but what-the-hell.Hurt more to sell Nellie than to file for divorce. Regret getting rid of her (Nellie my bagger not the ex). What-the-hell.I still was hurting from the loss of Nellie and no ‘In The Wind’ time.

November– 2005. Divorce Court. I got fucked. Can’t retire with only half of 21 ½ years. Won’t even cover child support. Oh Well. I can work to the grave.

January 2006 – Went to the cardiologist. Had a heart attack four years ago in 2002. Lost some of my heart. That part is dead. Must be the part where the feelings for the ex were.

I passed all stress tests and EKG tests (again) with flying colors. I eat healthier and exercise. He asked how I was doing. Told him life sucked. Beer and women help pass the time and make me smile.

Told him I was seeing a much younger woman and that she helped ease the pain and pass the time, too. HEY! I smile a lot more lately than in the past five years.

He is a smart man and is also a heart surgeon (better be smart). Has a sense of humor too! He asked me a question that made me reflect. He asked me, “John, how much would you pay to get out of a third world prison?”

I immediately answered “Anything Doc. (Cuz I have been in a Mexican Federale Jail in Monterrey, Mexico ya know).

I would definitely pay anything.

He said that I had paid a price to get out of prison (marriage) and that I should enjoy what is left of my life. Woke up right there and then and made a decision that day to start looking for another bike.

I saw a couple bikes at Corpus Christi H-D. Used but damn fine looking rides. Saw a new Street Bob too. Read about the Street Bob in couple of mags. Can’t afford a new bagger.

Went home and looked at finances and child support. What-the-hell. Maybe I better wait a little.

A few months went by. Went back by CCHD and saw a couple of used cop Road Kings. Fair prices too. Saw a Street Bob. Saw a couple of damn fine used ones too!

Hmmmmmmm?????

The following week I took my little boy out for a couple days of fun. Dropped him off at the ex’s house (used ta be my house ya know) at the end of the day. Well I took this back road like I had done during years of commuting. What-the-hell. Low and behold there was a black 2000 Fatboy on the side of the road with a for sale sign. V&H pipes, Stage 2, apes, sissy bar and leather bags. Fair Price too! Took her home and took off the apes. Her name is Cha-Cha (short for muchacha).

I am now outta that fuckin’ third world prison. Divorce, (BOND-OUT) cost me more financially than I thought. Know What? Divorce was worth every damn penny I lost and got screwed outta.

Outfuckinstandin!!!!

April 2006– Oh Yeah! The younger woman and I are just going to be friends after months of a hot relationship, and she wants to set me up with another woman.

That’s okay. There’s a lot more out there.

June 2006–Went to another meeting with the doc after a Nuclear Stress Test. He said my heart is in excellent condition and doesn’t need surgery or anything else. Except of course for the dead part. That’s also the same part that used to love the ex.

That’s okay. I don’t need that part anyway.

June 2006– Girlfriend came by, spent the night and made me feel young again.

I am In The Wind and solo. Happy little camper am I.

June 23, 2006–Went riding yesterday at the end of the work-day and enjoyed the deer and other assorted wild animals along Highway 16.

What’s that? Girl with a flat. I stopped. I was a Boy Scout ya Know.Changed the flat and now I have someone to see and do next weekend, before I leave as per Uncle Sammy’s orders to Arizona.

Rode back home to freer (Texas ) hungry and looking for some more split-tail. Local girl at the restaurant asked me to go pick her up tomorrow on Cha-Cha.

I’ll be there.

Damn!! It’s good to be outta jail.

FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of other things.I’m 50 and not religious but, Thank God I’m In the Wind again and still good looking.
