You Need A Good Solid State Controler To Run LED Turn Signals

This kit is easy to use, easy to wire and a boat load of fun!

When Rivera-Primo came out with the Mini & Mighty Magnum™ HedLED™ Headlights in 2008, they never thought that they would turn out to be as big a hit as they have. The integral LED turn signals are trick, cosmetically cool and unique to their product line. Since the initial launch of this product line, Rivera-Primo has introduced several new products to enhance the coverage, with all but one utilizing the integral LED’s. So what is this all leading up to?

First a little tech on LED’s.
The turn signal unit or flasher on your V Twin is load dependent; it needs a certain amount of current to function. Many bikes are designed to flash at a faster rate if an incandescent bulb is burned out. Since LEDs draw much less current than an incandescent bulb, your flasher unit may act as if a bulb is burned out and flash at the faster rate.  If you replace either the front or the rear turn signals with LEDs, you will typically need to add a load equalizer. If you are adding LEDs but leaving your stock turn signals you will not need a load equalizer.

Solid State Controller & Equalizer (1116-0501)

When Rivera Primo® launches a product line, we look at any other products that will compliment the or enhance the main product line. We like to call it complete packaging; where the customer needs only go to one place to fulfill all his/her needs in relation to the initial purchase. So, after the release of the HedLED product line, we realized after several friendly comments, that we needed some way to make the LED’s function correctly and enable them to do other things besides just a lowly turn signal. Front & center our newsest addition to the HedLED™ product line! Our new Solid State Controller & Equalizer does much more then just equalize the load for your LED turn signals to function correctly.

Its All About Control

The 1116-0501 Controller allows you to control the behavior of your LED’s through 8 different settings. You can make them just operate as simple turn signals or you can flash your HedLED LED’s in the following patterns:
1) Quad Alternate
2) Mega Alternate
3) Double Alternate
4) Quint Alternate
5) Double Simultaneous
6) Quad Simultaneous
7) Random
8) Selected Turn Signal
