The new Rider Footboard Heel Guard (P/N 50500225, $64.95) from Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Accessories® can help riders avoid damaged boots and hours of cleaning melted rubber scuff marks from the exhaust shield. Mounted to the right-side rider footboard, the curved shape of the Rider Footboard Heel Guard keeps the boot heel away from the exhaust shield without restricting fore-and-aft movement of the rider's foot. This kit includes the chrome guard with cutaway Bar & Shield logo and all required mounting hardware. It fits 2012 Dyna Switchback and 1986-later Touring and FL Softail® models equipped with Traditional and Swept Wing footboards. It does not fit models equipped with Half-Moon or Tapered footboards, Extended Reach Rider Footboards, or Screamin' Eagle® Fat Exhaust Shield Kits.
