Two years ago, a Mitchell woman wanted to do something to give back to her community. So she started a program that would help at risk girls at the Abbott House. Little did she know at the time, her idea would wind up helping hundreds of girls around the world, one wrench at a time.
The girls at the Abbott House have restored and customized two Harley Davidson motorcycles over the past couple of years. The most recent one will be raffled off next week to help raise money for the Abbott House.
The restoration project is through a program called Helping with Horsepower, an idea that was kick started by Laura Klock of Klock Werks.
