We asked and you answered. With your help, J&P Cycles donated $12,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund to provide assistance to residents in Moore, Shawnee and surrounding Oklahoma communities after the recent deadly and devastating tornadoes hit the area.
We want to thank our loyal J&P Cycles customers for being so responsive and generous in this time of need. The families in Oklahoma also thank you. We are proud to serve such an outstanding group of people.
J&P Cycles matched our customers’ donations dollar-for-dollar, which were collected through Thursday, June 6.
The donations will help provide food, shelter, emotional support, relief supplies, including toiletries, recovery supplies, such as gloves, trash bags, flashlights, and blankets, and health care services for those affected by the tornados and subsequent flooding.
On May 20, a tornado killed 24 people and injured hundreds of others in Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City. The following week, another round of tornadoes struck the Oklahoma City area, which also led to flooding, and killed at least 20 and inured around 100 more, according to the Oklahoma medical examiner’s office.
