We live and love V-twins cruisers, here at Bikernet, but some of us (well, that’s me) also dig a more spirited kind of ride. Although I usually don’t associate Beemers with cool and sexy, Bavarian Motor Works just made a liar out of me by releasing a jaw-dropping boxer twin modern-day café racer. Behold the new BMW R nineT.
BMW says this classic flat twin combines the best of two worlds: timeless, classic design and proven, yet modern technology.
The 2-cylinder 4-stroke flat twin will bring a smile to every rider’s face with its powerful acceleration and the distinctive, unmistakable sound. Numerous details highlight the love and passion for the art of motorcycle construction: classic round instruments, unpainted, massive aluminium parts, a manually adjustable sprint strut, a high-quality seat bench as well as many other extras which turn the R nineT into a very special boxer.
The R nineT becomes absolutely unique thanks to the customizing options available ex works. The rear section can be adapted in just a few simple steps. There are also further customizing options for the body and electrical system which permit far-reaching technical and visual adaptations – provided the right know-how is available.
