Brookfield, CT? Spectro Oils of America sponsors Team Wolbrink Race, who shattered two racing records during the Bub Motorcycle Speed Trials, from September 2-7, at the Bonneville Salt Flats. HOLLISTER BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!!!–Brought to you by…………….W8LESS.
Dateline: November 17 , 2008Hollister, California , USA:The City Council Voted to no longer allows bikers to bring their reported 7 MILLION PLUS DOLLARS and drop it off in Hollister the week of their annual Hollister Motorcycle Rally.
The reported 92,000 plus bikers will have to find somewhere else to spend their hard earned cash. Most cities in this economy would open up their arms and enjoy a three-day (SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR) shot in the arm.
The City Council voted to no longer allow motorcycles to gather and use their town for the Rally. With that said, why would any motorcyclist or friend of the scooters ever spend one red cent inside the county line of San Benito.
Check out BIKERNET each week. We can direct you to plenty of towns and events that are not prejudice and take cash from anybody that has it to pass out. In closing, “The Birthplace of the American Biker” has just turned it’s back on the fine fellowship that put that little town on the map.
I told you, we should buy a town a name it Motoville or move to Primm, Nevada.–Bandit

New D&D Performance Exhaust for 2009 Harley-Davidson Touring Models More Power & Economy for 2009 Baggers – A D&D and Zipper’s Package– November 20, 2008, Ft. Worth, TX – FRESH from our R&D department at our Horsepower Headquarters in Ft. Worth , TX , D&D Performance Enterprises has completed the BOSS kit, an economy and performance package for the 2009 Kings of the American Road, the Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles.
America’s long-distance hardcore riders require greater performance to get up and around cars and trucks as well as better fuel economy to stretch the gasoline dollar.
D&D knows the cost of ownership is never going to decline so they have spent the extra time and effort to develop products that deliver on economy and performance, which is regulated by the rider’s wrist.
The BOSS kit is spec’d for the 2009 Twin Cam 96 V-Twin engine and new chassis on the Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle. The BOSS kit includes our 2009 slip-ons and a Zipper’s high-flow air cleaner.
When we developed the BOSS kit we had 2 things in mind, power and aesthetics. Through extensive dyno testing, we were able to increase the power across the RPM range. We also paid close attention to the fitment of these pipes. As most touring riders know it is also about looks and the stock pipes were not up to snuff, they were not aligned correctly with the rear of the bike.
The engineers at D&D said “Get it straight Jack” and that’s exactly what we did. These pipes are correctly aligned with the back of the bike for an improved aesthetic appearance.
In developing the kit we worked with Zipper’s Performance in opening up the engine to make it breath better, utilizing their factory-replacement HiFlow air cleaners. These air cleaners are 100-percent washable, pleated filter elements.
Enthusiasts are reporting The BOSS kit is delivering an additional 8-9 horsepower increase. Zipper’s air cleaner and D&D’s Slip-ons delivers the biggest bang for your economy and performance buck and is a clear industry leader.
With just a wrench and a ratchet, every Harley-Davidson touring owner can be up and running within an hour. And this kit is designed so that you don’t need a tuner upgrade. Just wrench and ride.
D&D slip-ons come in show-quality chrome or powder coated midnight black. The dyno chart and dyno video with audio clip for both the BOSS Slip-on exhaust pipe is located on the website in the catalog section at www.danddexhaust.com. D&D is available at your local dealer or directly from headquarters at 817-834-8961.
In 1972 David Rash could not find the exhaust pipe he needed for his race bike. He knew that the proper exhaust for his engine configuration would give him an edge over his competition so he fabricated one himself. Thirty years and 250,000 pipes later D&D Performance Exhaust systems are some of the leading performance motorcycle exhaust systems in the world.
D&D Performance Exhausts are available from Custom Chrome dealers nationwide or from the factory at 817-834-8961, www.danddexhaust.com.

S&S X-WEDGE SERVICE MANUAL AVAILABLE–S&S Cycle has released the X-Wedge Service Manual, for service technicians and owners of X-Wedge motors. The X-Wedge, which takes its name from its cross-wedge combustion chambers, is a 56-degree V-twin which uses fuel injection to help make it EPA compliant.
“Getting the X-Wedge manual done was a real challenge for the whole team,” said Howard Kelly, S&S Communications and Marketing Manager. “In the past we have had years and years of data to look back on and recognize what information a technician would need, but this is a brand-new engine; we only had the data from testing and development. With a group effort from the entire X-Wedge development team, led by Jeff Bailey, an incredible amount of information was able to make it to the pages.”

DEPARTMENT AND $2,000 TO STURGIS POLICE DEPARTMENT RESERVES–STURGIS, S.D. ? The Sturgis Rally Department is pleased to announce that the 6th Annual Sturgis Mayor?s Ride, held Monday, August 4th, during the 2008 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, raised $18,000 for the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department and $2,000 for the Sturgis Police Department Reserves.
The Mayor?s Ride was created to be a funding source for the Sturgis Fire Department, a volunteer organization which plays a vital role in the Rally by not only keeping fire emergencies under control but also responding to accident scenes and other medical emergencies. This year Mayor Maury LaRue chose to also fund another volunteer group that assists the Sturgis Police Department, Sturgis Police Department Reserves for their participation in South Dakota Special Olympics.
2008 Mayor?s Ride participants were joined by United States Secretary of Transportation, Mary Peters, South Dakota Governor, Mike Rounds, was scheduled to attend, but due to inclement weather was unable to, the Director of Jack?s Daniel?s Lynchburg Homeplace, Steve May, South Dakota Office of Tourism Director, Melissa Bump, numerous state legislators, Sturgis Mayor Maury LaRue and local city council members on an escorted ride through some of the Black Hill?s most spectacular scenery on two lane roads. The group was welcomed by Superintendent Gerard Baker at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where they were treated to a private cultural performance and ended the afternoon at a sponsored lunch at Custer State Park Game Lodge.
?The Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department would like to again thank the Mayor and the Mayor?s Ride sponsors and participants for their continued support,? said Fire Chief Ron Koan. ?The funds generated annually from the Mayor?s Ride allows the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department to purchase equipment and provide professional volunteer firefighting services, which otherwise would be funded by taxpayers dollars. Because of events such as the Mayor?s Ride and other department sanctioned fund raising efforts, the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department and the City of Sturgis, have been able to hold the actual tax based cost of fire protection in our community to less than $22.00 per resident annually.?
?The Sturgis Police Department Reserves are honored to be considered for the support of the Mayor?s Ride, as they are strictly volunteers and this assistance will support the South Dakota Special Olympics,? said Police Chief Jim Bush.
?This is just another way that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally benefits the community,? stated Mayor LaRue. ?We ask a great deal of our volunteer firefighters year round, but especially during the Rally and the weeks leading up to it. With the help of our sponsors and the generosity of the people who participated in the Mayor?s Ride this year, we were able to once again give the fire department and the police department reserves much needed funding.?
The 6th Annual Mayor’s Ride was supported by presenting sponsor, Jack Daniel’s, with additional sponsorship support from Ford Motor Company – Built Ford Tough, Black Hills Harley-Davidson, Black Hills Power, Budweiser, Alltel Wireless, Coca-Cola, Pak Mail, Official World Championship of Custom Bike Building, South Dakota Pork Producers – Pork the Other White Meat, Rosenbauer Firefighting Technology, Wheeled Coach and Knology.
The 7th Annual Mayor?s Ride will be held on Monday, August 3rd, 2009. Riders interested in participating can contact the Sturgis Rally Department at 605.720.0800, log onto the Sturgis Rally website www.sturgismotorcyclerally.com or email info@sturgismotorcyclerally.com
