THIS JUST IN?. MYRTLE BEACH MAY RELINQUISH ILLEGAL HELMET LAW– I received a telephone call on Friday, September 26, 2008 and a follow-up call this morning (September 29, 2008) from The Tony Spinnato (Chapter Cord G-Town ABATE, BOLT Member / Bikers Of Less Tolerance, BADD Member / Bikers Against Drunk Drivers) as representative for the Harley side?.The call basically states and reiterates, following the NAACP meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2008, there was collective support and effort from both sides, collectively together, we all represented UNITY.

We both had separate and independent conversations with the Mayor Rhodes briefly following the meeting. During my conversation with Mayor Rhodes, he stated perhaps/maybe we all can come to the table with some sort of agreement. As we left, Mr. Spinnato was speaking with Mayor Rhodes following the meeting.

The long and short of Mr. Spinnato?s telephone call was as follows: Mayor Rhodes, says the City of Myrtle Beach is willing to consider relinquishing the helmet law ordinance. Mr. Spinnato says Mayor Rhodes asked that we collectively meet prior to the next City Council Meeting to discuss having said placed on the Minutes for discussion.

Please understand the removal of the City of Myrtle Beach helmet law ordinance isn?t official, before this is, can, or will be done, the Myrtle Beach City Council will have to vote on removal of same at the City Council meeting.

HUGH “DA CHOPPER” KING REPORTS FROM MAINE– “It’s not the trees so much. It’s the truck loaded high with 120,000 pounds of timber barreling down winding, rain soaked dirt roads,” said Hugh about his Discovery Channel assignment. “Quite often they flip with disastrous consequences.”

He’s shooting a series on a family of lumberjacks, who do it all themselves and try to survive in the great cold northwest. He can’t wait to return to LA and work with Bikernet on a motorcycle film project.

Brass Balls Bobbers Provides Up To $1,000 In Bailout Assistance For the American Bobber Consumer–Hard-pressed Motorcycle Consumers Can Find Relief With a 30 mpg Custom Bobber.

October 2, 2008 – Oklahoma City – Darwin Motorcycles, manufacturer of Brass Balls Bobbers & Choppers, is sticking it to the man by providing a relief package for Bobber & Chopper enthusiasts that includes a $500 off on 5 speed and $1,000 off on 6 speed motorbikes, which runs through December 31, 2008.

“The financial crisis and energy crisis have created the perfect storm of uncertainty for the enthusiast,” said Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls Bobbers’ BossMan. “With our 30+ mpg motorbikes and our financial bailout program we are doing our part to keep the wheels of America rolling.”

The firm’s bailout package delivers the Bobber and Chopper lifestyle at less than the introductory price of just $17,995. The reason why Darwin Motorcycles can deliver a sharp and creative motorcycle at such a competitive price is because of the economies of scale that are built into the manufacturing process.

The custom-production bobbers and choppers utilize fuel efficient engines. At the heart of each build is one of three models using Harley-Davidson EVO, S&S? V-series motor, as well as a unique re-engineered Indian V-Plus engine. The cost savings in fuel by commuting on a Brass Balls Bobbers’ motorbike versus a SUV is over $2,500 a year.* That doesn’t include reduced operating expense and commuting time.

Heading up manufacturing is master builder Sam Wills. Wills is a chassis builder extraordinaire and distinguished Top Fuel Bike builder, tuner and racer. He distills all his racing and manufacturing acumen into each Brass Ball Bobbers build. That’s why individuals in-the-know see the frames and consider the design and the welds to be as much art as functional components.

The Oklahoma-based custom bike manufacturer specializes in building a line of track-inspired quality bikes for the “average Joe.” The factory is located at 13613 Eskridge Drive in Oklahoma City. Visit the company online at www.darwinmotorcycles.com .

* Savings is based on 30,000 annual miles, $4 gas, 18 mpg average for SUVs and 30 mpg average for Darwin Motorcycle’s motorbikes.

BIKERNET FREE SEX JOKE–Two bikers rode into a gas station in Indiana for a fill-up, because they heard about a contest being offered by the station to patrons who purchased a full tank of gas. When they went inside to pay, the men asked the attendant about the contest.

“If you win, you’re entitled to free sex” said the attendant.

“How do we enter?” asked one.

“Well, I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 10, if you guess right, you win free sex.”

“OK. I guess 7,” said the other rider.

“Sorry, I was thinking of 8,” replied the attendant.

The next week, the two guys go back to the same station to get gas. When they went inside to pay, the one asked the attendant if the contest was still going on.

“Sure,” replied the attendant. “I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 10, if you guess right. You win free sex.”

“2” said the Harley rider.

“Sorry, I was thinking of 3,” replied the attendant. “Y’all come back soon and try again.”

As they walked back to their bikes one said to the other, “You know, I’m beginning to think this contest is rigged.”

“No way,” came the reply. “My wife won twice last week.”
