Caliber Four Step Dual Crossover and Muffler —Caliber High Performance Exhaust has designed and developed a cutting edge true dual crossover Four-Stepped Exhaust system for 1995 to 2004 Road Kings and Dressers. The system utilizes a three-step header and incorporates the tuned muffler. This amazing system greatly improves the street performance of these fine road motorcycles, and at the same time producing a deep invigorating sound.

The complete system includes full coverage heat shields, 2 sets of baffles, all mounting hardware, chromed mounting bracket, a brilliant chrome 3? muffler and an engraved chrome aluminum end cap. The beauty of the Caliber True Dual Header System is the beauty of the system. The smooth flowing lines are evidence of careful planning and an eye for good looks. The right side pipe carefully follows the lines of the classic styling of the bike and makes a single straight line from the floorboards to the end of the muffler. Without drama or excess, the left side pipe exits from the rear cylinder to form strong lines that end at the perfect location behind the bags.

?Street ride-ability is what these pipes are all about? said Kenny Price, CEO of Samson Motorcycle Products. ?The new Caliber line raises the bar for performance pipes that look good.? Extensive Dyno testing proves the Caliber True Dual Crossover system put the power to the road with significant increases in horsepower and torque.

All Caliber exhaust systems come with a Full Two Year Warranty.

LANDMARK BAR BOUNCES BACK–HUTCHINSON ISLAND – Battered by two storms, Archie’s Seabreeze, a landmark biker bar, reopens today — the first day of hurricane season.

The owner wants to taunt the weather.”Bring it on, baby. Nothing can hurt me again like that hurt me. It’s been nine months of hell,” said Patty McGee, the 61-year-old owner, who spent $250,000 making repairs that brought the biker joint up to building code.

The first hurricane, Frances, damaged the roof and let in 21 days of rain last year, while McGee slept on the pool table. Repaired now with steel beams and laminated wooden trusses, Archie’s is still funky and open to the breeze coming off the ocean.”My building was on its last legs,” said the freckled, tanned and blonde owner, a biker chick who worked as a cook until she bought the place in 1994.”It was old. It was funky,” she said.

Now it’s new and funky.

When the concrete threshold was poured, someone etched “No shirt, No shoes, No problem” into the wet cement. Pink Floyd plays on the jukebox. And an ancient bougainvilla blooms in the courtyard, protected by a lattice enclosure.

“We all decided that Archie’s is priceless. The karma, the love, it’s just so steeped in history and good feelings,” she said. “Besides, in five years, I’ll have the hottest joint in America.”

stealth door
Here are some pics of our security door at STEALTH BIKE WORKS. Mt buddy “Chopper John” made the door. This guy is very talented!

STEALTH BIKE WORKS BIKERNET REPORT–This past week we hung our security door in place at STEALTH BIKE WORKS. This door is too cool! My good friend “Chopper John” came up with this creation. The door weighs in at around 150 pounds! “Chopper John” is a wizard when it comes to metal and welding. He is our part time fabricator and we hope one day to make him full time. We plan on doing our windows the same as the door. The door is one of the coolest attractions at STEALTH BIKE WORKS to date and hopefully it will attract a lot of attention as to getting people to stop by the shop.

One thing I have noticed is our customer base is about 50-50, old school-new school. It is a learning curve as far as knowing what to have in stock and what not to have.

This weekend STEALTH BIKE WORKS heads to the June Jam Bike Show and Swap Meet. This will be our first event since we opened. Our # 1 priority is to advertise this weekend, to get the word out that we are open. The June Jam is located at the Rowan County Fairgrounds, the same location as the Horse Smoke-Out, June 24th and 25th. I know I told you about this last week but our first shop rides heads for the Smoke-Out at 12 noon June 25th. If you are in the area look us up and ride with us. For more info give us a call at 704-882-0889. We will be glad to hear from you.

Another reminder, July 24th the 7th Annual Run For Breath “In Memory Of Justin Pullin” takes place.

STEALTH BIKE WORKS is RFB headquarters and is the 2nd stop on the run. RFB t-shirts will be available soon! So the calendar is jammed packed with up coming events. We hope to see you down the road!

On a completely different subject, I read where Discovery is dropping the Bike-Build off series. What is up with that? If we can find a phone #, we should all call in and let them know how we feel about this! Come on, what are they thinking?

So I guess that is about it for this week! Until next week, burn some pavement!

SANTA MARIA MOTORCYCLE MADNESS SPONSORED BY HOT BIKE–The first stop on Horse Power Promotions Hot Bike Super Show Tour – The Hot Bike All American Motorcycle Madness, May 20th, 21st and 22nd – brought out thousands of custom bikes from the celebrated to virtually unknown builders from all over the West.

Thanks to Santa Maria Harley-Davidson, the weekend was jamming with non-stop motorcycle madness and entertainment from morning to evening: Live music, David Chaves Trials “rider extraordinaire,” Eddie Mulder?s Vintage Flat Track Racing in the Santa Maria Ford Arena, and of course the Mitch Bergeron bike build that was definitely the hottest and most well-attended spectacle at the show.

Mitch Bergeron and Johnny Chop worked passionately throughout the weekend building the dream bike with a Revtec motor, Jims Transmission, Mean Street front end, Ego Tripp wheels, and bolted it all to a Mitch Bergeron frame. MC Advantage and Havoc threw in some other necessary pieces. Lincoln Welders provided the tools for the build and Johnny and Mitch powered out one cool bike and gave it away to the show?s luckiest participant on Sunday at the awards ceremony. With Mitch and Johnny?s blood, sweat and tears in the state-of-the-art project bike, it no doubt will quickly become a collector?s dream.

In addition, other outstanding giveaways of the afternoon included a Titan motorcycle from GA Motorsports and a two-bike enclosed trailer from Central Coast Trailers, which put the value of the prizes at well over $100,000.

Out of over 150 vendors in the Motorcycle Madness Marketplace, dozens had record sales over the weekend. The most popular hang out in the Motorcycle Marketplace was the builders square where many of the country?s best builders such as Scott Long, Harold Pontarelli, Top Shelf, Lucky 7, Straight Jacket and Steve Van Morkhoven to name a few, all had booths and exhibited their latest creations.

Horse Power Promotions added indoor spaces for more shopping and chopping in the convention center. This is also where the ongoing Quick Throttle TV Show was filming with builder and vendor interviews.

The buzz from the over 15,000 attendees was directed to the bike show and the killer billet trophies by Ego Tripp and the Cycle Smith and Dakota Digital awards. The Bike show participants agreed that they were the best they had ever seen.

There was almost too much to do for a three-day weekend! With 2 poker runs, 33-acres of vendors, stunt show, Flat Track racing, and an annual After the Madness Maverick Party that allowed the locals to mix with the builders and share some sweet adult beverage. Speaking of sweet, Michele Smith, host of American Thunder was on hand and needless to mention, provided one of the more popular photo ops!

2006 All American Motorcycle Madness will take place May 19th, 20th & 21st in Santa Maria, CA. Check out www.horsepowerpromotions.com for more info.

THAT’S A WRAP FOR THIS WEEK–I feel like a rider who broke down just before the Fresno Run. I’m helpless without my goddamn computer. Did you notice the stinkin’ ’54 Linclon. We’ll I’m signed up to be co-pilot in the LA Carrera PanAmerican race across Mexico with Dr. Hamster, one of my best buds. We’ve ridden to Sturgis, Arizona to bars and girl’s homes for decades. It’s a historic 2500 mile run from the bottom of Mexico in Oaxaco, to Laredo, Texas. Back in the ’50s these Linclons won the race, two years in a row, hands down. We’ll see in October how she runs again.

kids and chrome bikers with kid

Bikernet.com is also sponsoring the Kids And Chrome benefit in Sturgis this year. It’s a major blast during the Rally to support the Sturgis Museum and a Childrens Hospital in Rapid City. Check their site for more info.

In the meantime I pick up my powder work tomorrow and George the Wild Brush plans to hit the headquarters on Saturday to touch off the sheet metal with pinstriping. Then the flag drops to build this bad ass Shovel. I can’t wait.

Let’s Ride,

–Bandit
