TIM CONDER TO BE REPRESENTED AT GARAGE MAGAZINE ART SHOW– Garage Magazine is presenting an art show with the Minna Gallery in San Francisco from July 3rd to August 1st. This is pretty cool for me, as this will be my first art show since the 6th GRADE.
Some of the culture’s top super geniuses are participating, including many of my personal art heroes. I’m honored they asked me. Apparantly, they didn’t realize most of my stuff is languishing in garages all over the place un-finished.
However, I’m scraping together some stuff and hope you get a chance to come down.
– Thanks, Tim

p.s. Please consider purchasing something, I’m roughly 4.5 million away from completing my ATF project…No, nobody bought it. Yes, I still have it. 2025 is my year baby!

SMOKE OUT EAST HUGE SUCCESS– smoke out east was a huge success. really great. probably the best event we ever had. drag racing was a huge hit. the mini-bike races were people have to wear a super-hero costume… man so funny and so fun… so glad xsspeed came up with that. even the thrill show was really cool.
There was so much going on before the event i did not tell you about… like lawsuits… county officials (and the sheriff) not wanting us and we had a settlement (to avoid an injunction) before the event…. were we agreed not to come back.
Anyway – the event was awesome and this local group started taking signatures from business owners in support of the smoke out. then some residents heard and wanted a petition for interested residents that want to keep the event… the lady with the petition set up at the lowe’s parking lot and people waited in line to fill out there names and addresses in support of the event. they collected over 1,000 signatures (11 pages) before i even heard about it.
The sheriff and county manager have apologized to me and in the papers…. they want us back and we are looking at the possibility of a long term deal.

S&S AWARDS LIVE ON BIKERNET–Sorta. Ray Wheeler, from W8less Rotors called me from the grandstands and held his cell phone up during the announcements. Seems a builder from La Crosse, Wisconsin, DOUG’S PAINT received the People’s Choice award. The best of show award went to Hot Dock (Kieji Kawakita), Japan
. The X-Wedge award went to Fred Kodlin Murdercycles (Fred Kodlin), Germany , The T-Series award was scored by BENNETT’S PERFORMANCE in Long Beach, CA, the V-series award went to Nicolas Chauvin, France , the Shovelhead award was taken by Cook Custom Choppers (Dave Cook), WI, USA, Krugger Motorcycles (Freddie Krugger), Belgium took the Panhead series and the Sportster went to Odyssey Motorcycles, (Bertrand Dubet) France.
Robin Bradley and his American Dealer Mag gang took care of the judging. “We received over 25,000 people’s choice votes,” Robin said, “and we spent 17 hours compiling the final judging.”
Michael Lichter was fortunately on hand to document every bike photographically for an S&S 50th Tribute book.

RAY WHEELER REPORTS FROM THE ROAD TO S&S– Another exciting adventure that only the road can provide .. Yesterday morning a pick-up pulled out of a farm drive, turned on high beams and blinded my mirrors. My hot rod left the two lane hard surface and slid into the pea gravel. Ended up in a hospital with cracked bone in left foot.
The three policeman who found me, two hours later, pushed my Dyna out of the ravine (slight fairing damage) . One is an avid rider and fired up the rocket and rode it to his home . One of his friends is loading my bike and taking me to La Crosse where I am connecting with Scott Long and hitching a ride to San Jose.
Life is good, the officer said four bikers have died on the same curve in the past few months. On a brighter note, this morning I received a solid W8less rotor from Charlie. FANTASTIC , we have a winner …

KNOCKOUT/BIKERNET EXHAUST CONTEST WINNER– My computer is giving me fits today?. As you can see the Shovel in the foreground is still sitting in the original frame. Since she is getting a little long in the tooth, I bought her new in ?75; she was on the truck with the first of the ?76 models. I had R&R out of Manchester,NH do a build after she blew through well over 100,000 miled. I have approx 10,000 on the rebuild but the rest of her is in dire need of a facelift. My goal is to build a low buck rigid bar hopper and the exhaust would be an excellent addition to the project.
In any event keep up the good work at Bikernet.com. I am a subscriber of a few years now.
–Rhys I understand that the main requirement is to have the motor in a custom frame. My thought is to rebuild the Shovel using a custom rigid frame to build a bar hopper. I bought the Shovel new and was the first of the ’76’s delivered and I helped take her off the truck. RIDLEY ANNOUNCES THREE NEW DEALERSHIPS IN US– (Okla. City, Okla.-06/27/2008) Three new Ridley dealerships were officially announced today by Jay Ridley, Ridley Motorcycle Vice President. She’s sweet. –Fatbob JIM NASI’S NEW BAGGER SERIES KIT– JIM Nasi Customs now introduces the Nasi Bagger Series kit, which was seen in prototype form at the V-Twin Expo. The new kit is made up of replacement bags, rear fender, license plate holder/taillight, front side panels and slip-on mufflers. The complete kit is designed as a bolt-on application to replace the stock fittings, and is described by Jim Nasi as being: “specifically designed for easy and quick installation.” The new hard bags are fiberglass, unlike the stock items they are deeper, narrower and longer to create a more streamlined look, and mount lower on supplied brackets. Two versions of the bag are offered either with the exhaust cut-outs or without, and locks and hidden hinges are included. The cut-outs in the bags were inspired by hot rod and custom car designs, the holes are filled by the Triple Shot slip-on mufflers, which can be fitted with baffles. In addition, the kit includes new forward side panels, which help the lines of the bike flow visually into the bags, and a new rear fender. The fender is said to be the first replacement unit manufactured in steel, and is set up to take a billet license plate holder (also included). The holder has an LED taillight and indicators and is ready wired to connect to the stock bike’s electrics. The Nasi Bagger Series Kit, available through Jim Nasi Customs, will fit ’97 onward H-D Touring models. JIM NASI CUSTOMS I HAD MY PANCAKE BREAKFAST–A brother dropped over with a bottoming out swingarm Panhead. We adjusted his shocks and cut the bolt holding the rear of his seat back from scoring the tire. I’m ready for something, a cool ride along the coast. A margarita and a rubdown. Let’s hit it. We have a big week ahead of us. I’m tuning the Salt Shaker for the ride to Sturgis and hoping for another report on the Root Beer bike for next week. Hang On. Ride Forever, –Bandit
