SCOTT JACOBS TRIES TO MAKE UP TO MOM– Since Mother?s Day is fast approaching we thought it a good idea to help make that gift decision easier by offering you an incredible price on a beautiful Scott Jacobs canvas. Most women who have seen this piece love it and the name of the artwork is SHAKEN NOT STIRRED.

This painting is an actual depiction of the artist?s backyard and since Scott is well known for painting reflections, he decided to have his home reflect in the HD martini shaker! Great color, relaxing mood, warm feelings all are contained in ?Shaken Not Stirred?. Scott will even hand write a personalization on the back of the frame dedicating it to Mom.

The list price framed for the 21? x 31? (approx. overall size) version is normally $750 but you can get this for Mom for only $495 including a beautiful custom frame package. All Mom has to do is open the box and hang it on the wall. Call or email to place order by Tues. May 6th for delivery in time.

For those of you who took advantage of the JOURNEY?S END offer this piece would look great in tandem. Thanks again for all your support and have a wonderful Mother?s Day!

Cheers,

Kids and chrome

TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR 4TH ANNUAL KIDS & CHROME BENEFIT– RAPID CITY, S.D. ? Kids & Chrome Foundation announced this week that tickets are now on sale for the annual Kids & Chrome Benefit Dinner & Auction presented by Budweiser during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Kids & Chrome, sponsored by Bikernet.com, an eclectic mix of fun, food and festivities, is held in the name of enriching the outreach and programs provided by two vital Black Hills non-profit organizations, Children?s Home Society, the ?Kids? in the foundation?s moniker, and Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, the ?Chrome?. The 2007 Kids & Chrome event, bringing together over 400 motorcycle enthusiasts, industry professionals and celebrities from the Black Hills community, across the nation and around the globe to ?Rally for a Reason?, raised over $100,000.00 in contributions, gifting $70,000.00 to the Children?s Home Society and $30,000 to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.

Kids & Chrome 2008 is slated for Wednesday, August 6th, at the Spearfish Holiday Inn & Convention Center, Spearfish, SD. Featured at this year?s 4th Annual Kids & Chrome, will be ?The Dakota?, a one-off custom bagger, created for Kids & Chrome by Tom Binyon, owner of BaggerWorks Custom Touring Motorcycles in Wichita, Kansas.

Binyon was introduced to Kids & Chrome during the 2007 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and was so impressed that he contacted the Kids & Chrome Foundation to offer to donate his services on the build for 2008. ?The Dakota? was built exclusively with parts and components donated by some of the premier manufacturers in the motorcycle industry. Binyon, along with Ted Sands, Vice President Sales & Marketing for Performance Machine and long-time friend and supporter of Kids & Chrome, and Jim Burgess, co-owner of Black Hills Harley-Davidson and Board President of Kids & Chrome Foundation, championed the donation drive and a generous industry quickly responded.

The one-off custom bagger?s list of components reads like a corporate who?s-who of the motorcycle world. BaggerWorks contributed a custom built frame by Rolling Thunder Frames, a Matt Risley fuel tank, a custom Perse Performance front end, a special Baker 250 RSD (right side drive) transmission, and a detachable front fairing from Kevin Evans, as well as many other components. Black Hills Harley-Davidson built and contributed a fuel-injected Harley-Davidson 110″ TwinCam “B” engine, as well as many other Harley-Davidson components. Wheels, brake systems, hand controls, and many other components were contributed by Performance Machine from its Contour line. ?The Dakota? also features a Legend Air suspension, provided by Rapid City?s Independent Cycle, a Corbin FLH Bagset and rear fender, a Danny Gray custom embroidered seat, as well as numerous parts and accessories from Arlen Ness, Headwinds, Metzeler and others.

?The Dakota? will be auctioned to the highest bidder during the Kids & Chrome benefit dinner and auction.

The 2008 Kids & Chrome event is again supported by a generous motorcycle community as well as local and national event sponsors like Budweiser, the Kids & Chrome title sponsor, as well as Black Hills Harley-Davidson, BaggerWorks, the Buffalo Chip, Black Hills Surgery Center, Performance Machine, Lehman Trikes, Baker Drivetrain, State Publishing & Printing and Sturgis Bike Week.

?Kids & Chrome is just a phenomenal event?, said Jim Burgess, President of the Kids & Chrome Foundation Board. ?Our sincere thanks go to our friends from the motorcycling community whose kind and generous support of Kids & Chrome allows us to make these significant contributions to benefit our kids and preserve the history of motorcycling, each of which plays a hugely important role in all of our lives.?

Kids & Chrome invites you to ?Rally for a Reason?. Support Kids & Chrome through sponsorship of the Kids & Chrome event, donation of either a silent or live auction item, purchase of a corporate table or individual tickets for the event, or by simply making a tax deductible donation.

Tickets for the Wednesday, August 6th, Kids & Chrome benefit dinner and auction event can be purchased on-line at kidsandchrome.com, or by contacting Stacey Sharp, Kids & Chrome Event Coordinator, at 605/341-5226 or stacey@thesharpagency.com. For Kids & Chrome sponsorship information or to donate auction items for the event, contact Darla Crown at Children?s Home Society at darla.crown@chssd.org or phone 605/391-5555. Kids & Chrome Foundation, promoter of Kids & Chrome, is a Black Hills 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

SIN WU’S WOMEN SEXUAL CONFERENCE– Three women: one engaged, one married, and one a mistress, are chatting about their relationships and decide to amaze their men….that night all three will wear a leather bodice S&M style, stilettos and a mask over their eyes . After a few days they meet again…

The engaged girlfriend said: ‘The other night, when my boyfriend came home, he found me in the leather bodice, 4″ stilettos and mask. He said, ‘You are the woman of my life, I love you…then we made love all night long.’

The mistress stated: ‘Oh Yes! The other night we met in the office. I was wearing the leather bodice, mega stilettos, mask over my eyes and a raincoat. When I opened the raincoat, he didn’t say a word. We just had wild sex all night.’

The married one then said: ‘The other night I sent the kids to stay at my mothers for the night, I got myself ready, leather bodice, super stilettos and mask over my eyes. My husband came in from work, grabbed the TV controller, a beer, and said, ‘Hey Batman, what’s for dinner?’

MORE RESPONSE TO MOTORCYCLE SALES DOWN TURN SURVEY– Wanted to get my two bits worth in on your survey. From the list of options you listed, I would say I feel that it’s mostly Economy related.

However, I feel that there are other major contributors that were not listed. One would be an over abundance of police attention. Seems like if you get pulled over these days you will be getting a ticket for something, most of the time it feels like it’s whatever they can come up with on the spot. There is also a lot of anti-motorcycle legislature that’s been going around lately, Florida’s ridiculous attempt at the 10 year license suspension for reckless riding for example.

Bikers still receive almost completly negative news coverage. You will hear about it every time some dumb ass poser runs himself off the road and dies, but not a word when the Ride for Kids raises $100,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in just one day.

Ok, I’m done venting now. Something tells me you opened Pandora’s box with that article. It will be hard for people to keep their answers simple. Best of luck!

BIKERNET UNIVERSITY STUDIES OBSESSIONS– A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their small children.

“You all have obsessions,” he observed.

To the first mother he said, “You are obsessed with eating. You’ve even named your daughter Candy.

He turned to the second Mom, “Your obsession is with money. Again, it manifests itself in your child’s name, Penny.”

He turns to the third Mom. “Your obsession is alcohol. This too manifests itself in your child’s name, Brandy”

At this point, the fourth mother gets up, takes her little boy by the hand and whispers. “Come on, Dick, we’re leaving.”

BIKERNET FAMILY COUNSELING RECOMMENDATIONS– Anna had lost her husband almost four years ago. Her daughter was constantly calling her and urging her to get back into the world. Finally, Anna said she’d go out, but didn’t know anyone.

Her daughter immediately replied, ‘Mom! I have someone for you to meet.’

Well, it was an immediate hit. They took to one another and after dating for six weeks, he asked her to join him for a weekend in Vermont .

Their first night there, she undressed as he did. There she stood nude, except for a pair of black lacy panties; he was in his birthday suit.

Looking her over, he asked, ‘Why the black panties?’

She replied: ‘My breasts you can fondle, my body is yours to explore, but down there I am still mourning.’

He knew he was not getting lucky that night.

The following night was the same–she stood there wearing the black panties, and he was in his birthday suit–but now he was wearing a black condom.

She looked at him and asked: ‘ What’s with the black condom?’

He replied, ‘I want to offer my deepest condolences.’

BIKERNET SHERIFF RUNS SEX SLAVE OPERATION– ARAPAHO, Okla. — An Oklahoma sheriff resigned after an investigation revealed he was running a sex-slave operation from his jail, police said.

Michael Burgess surrendered to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents and posted bond Wednesday night, hours after he resigned as Custer County sheriff amid 35 felony charges, including accusations of forcible oral sodomy, kidnapping, rape and perjury, KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City reported.

Investigators said that at one point, Burgess oversaw wet T-shirt contests at the Custer County Jail. The 35 charges against Burgess include bribery of a public official, indecent exposure, 14 counts of second-degree rape and rape by instrumentation.

The Texas County district attorney started looking into Burgess in May 2007, after a participant in the Washita-Custer County drug court program told investigators that Burgess made her have sex with him on a threat of sending her to prison, the television station reported.

Because of a conflict of interest, Custer County prosecutors handed the case to Texas County authorities. Burgess had been sheriff in Custer County since 1994. Residents said that if the accusations are true, it sends a bad message.

“That you can’t really trust anybody no matter if they’re in power because people in power abuse their power,” said Kim Whiteshirt.

If convicted on all counts, Burgess could face a sentence of up to 467 years in prison. Authorities said Burgess is also involved in a lawsuit over accusations of inappropriate actions.

A source in Custer County also said that while it’s likely the county’s undersheriff would take over as sheriff, details of succession would probably be ironed out on Thursday.

IT’S MARGARITA TIME–Sorta. The weather is so whacky this year. It’s chilly here today, and a couple of days ago it hit the 90s. I’m working on the Salt Shaker, 120-inch Panhead for the Michael Lichter display at Thunder Road in Sturgis. I’m also working on our Bikernet Brouhaha show ads for Friday in Sturgis at the same place, the Thunderdome at Thunder Road. Sam Dixon helped out with a couple of killer shots with girls from the Badlands. I’ll show you next week.

It’s Thunder everything. So many folks have asked if I’m starting a magazine. How about Thunder Ball or Bandit’s Thunder. No, I’m not starting another goddamn magazine. I enjoy writing for them, and writing the Bonneville book with Wolfgang was a blast. Hope you enjoy it. Hell, I’ve got to finish the first Chance Hogan novel. Have a helluva week and check back ofter. The gang writes for Bikernet daily.

Ride Forever,
