Hey,
The girls keep coming from Vegas. Now I’m bummed I wasn’t there with Branscombe Richmond and his Renegade Posse Band. Yesterday I tried another 5-Ball Factory Racer ignition fix test, unsuccessfully. It blubbers at mid-range, and we can’t find out what’s happening with the Crazy Horse Engine. Must be something I’m doing…
Then I shifted to the Salt Shaker, which Accurate Engineering fixed after the record breaking run on the 2006 Bub Trials salt, and we stuck a valve, but it’s had a hiccup ever since. I’m going to be forced to dig into the engine. It’s something in the rear head. I would like to dial this bike in for the Love Ride. It will be an historic putt into the Malibu Hills with Jay Leno and Oliver Shokouh, the boss of Glendale H-D, and the founder of the Love Ride, leading the pack.
They are limiting it to 1000 riders, so you need to sign up quick, if you want make this run. We have a fleeting mantra around here, but it’s shot fulla holes. We talk about slowing down constantly, but shit happens daily. We are working with Hugh King on our first Bikernet Internet TV program series. Hang on for that. Jeff Najar and Bob Kay delivered the AMD show series to the Advances star shows for 2011. That’s exciting for the AMD Championship, for the growth of once Cycle World, now Progressive Insurance show series, and Bikernet will sponsor this series. We will bring you video interviews and the winners from each show.
We plan to display three of our bikes in the Long Beach show. Maybe we’ll make it into the winners circle? Let’s hit the Sunday News:
AMERICAN IRON BIKER FEATURE TEASER– Bikernet works closely with the American Iron West Coast feature photographer, Markus Cuff. He was recently assigned to shoot the lastest Boarsnestchoppers.com feature bike, built by Josh Soto. You will see this bike featured in American Iron in the future, then maybe on Bikernet. Ya never know.

The two writers are alike in that their best books have a historical basis; in that their pages teem with incidents, romantic yet realistic.

GET THIS, Delaware alcohol agency chief quits after DUI arrest–The head of Delaware’s Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement stepped down Friday amid a state investigation into her arrest for alleged drunken driving in her state-issued SUV early Thursday.
Siobhan G. Sullivan, 46, a former state trooper who was former Gov. Ruth Ann Minner’s security chief, submitted her three-sentence letter of resignation without mentioning her legal troubles.
Noting that she had the “utmost respect” for the agency and its agents, Sullivan wrote that she was “grateful for the opportunity to serve the past two years, and I value the many years of service I have given to the state of Delaware.”
Her resignation from the $78,000-a-year post was immediately accepted by Secretary Lewis D. Schirillo of the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, which oversees Sullivan’s division.
Schirillo had said Thursday that Sullivan — who took the post in November 2008 — could face penalties up to and including firing for the offense, which involved the use of her state vehicle. Sullivan initially had been placed on administrative leave with pay.

Schirillo would not say whether he urged Sullivan to resign, but said she “felt terrible” about her arrest and made the proper decision.
“The agents go out every day and enforce the alcohol laws and laws on underage drinking, and in order to do that, we have to have people the public can rely on and trust,” Schirillo said. “She did what she felt was in the best interests of the agency.”
Sullivan directed the agency that enforces Delaware’s laws that govern who can supply, sell or transport alcohol, as well as laws that restrict youths from using alcohol or tobacco.
She oversaw agents who routinely conduct undercover investigations at bars and liquor stores.
At about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Sullivan, who lives in Rehoboth Beach, was driving on Del. 1 near Minos Conaway Road north of Lewes, when a trooper using radar clocked her state-owned 2007 black Dodge Durango going 71 mph in a 55-mph zone.
She was cited for speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Court papers, in the form of a Uniform Traffic Complaint and summons, provide only bare-bones details about the arrest, and do not show a blood-alcohol level.
The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
Schirillo would not say whether Sullivan refused to take a preliminary breath test for alcohol, only saying that an alcohol reading “was not available.”
Schirillo said Sullivan was carrying her division-issued Glock pistol and that the trooper confiscated the weapon during the arrest.
State police would not comment on the arrest and resignation of their former colleague, referring questions to Schirillo, who oversees both agencies.
A first drunken-driving offense can lead to the loss of a license for up to a year, and prison time of up to 180 days, but most first offenders get their license back in six months and are sentenced to probation.

HARVARD ‘BRIGHT IDEAS’ AWARD RECOGNIZES INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM (TAP) IN THE LOS ANGELES HARBOR– SAN PEDRO, Calif. — Oct. 5, 2010 — The Technology Advancement Program (TAP), a joint program created and funded by the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has been recognized by the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University as among the nation’s most innovative government programs.
Of approximately 600 programs considered, 173 were selected by for the Bright Ideas Program.
The ports’ Technology Advancement Program is designed to accelerate the verification or commercial availability of new emissions reduction technologies. TAP identifies, evaluates, and demonstrates new and emerging emissions reduction technologies and strategies applicable to the port industry that could be used to control port-related emissions.

IT PACKS A FIRM PUNCH–Written by a housewife, to her daily newspaper. This is one ticked off lady.
‘Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not started
by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and
have continually threatened to do so since?
Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in
downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from the nation’s capitol and in a
field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or
crushing death that day, or didn’t they?
And I’m supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by
a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a
brutal insurgency.
I’ll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan
I’ll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I’ll care when the cowardly so-called ‘insurgents’ in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in
mosques and behind women and children.
I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled ‘Koran’ and
other times ‘Quran.’ Well, believe me!! you guessed it ……
I don’t care!!

LIL’ JOE LEATHERS MADE IN AMERICA, An American Biker Speaks Out!!–
First let me say I Hate Products made in Pakistan…… Products made in Pakistan are always made of cheaper Less Quality Materials and are made in countries that hate the USA and Support those who seek to destroy us.
The Motorcycle industry is flooded with Leathers from Pakistan. Go to any Motorcycle event and 99% of the Motorcycle Leathers sold there are Made in Pakistan
What the F@%K??
Even Harley Davidson allows its designs to be Made in Pakistan.
Why you say…..its Profit Margin!!
There’s cheap Labor and cheap materials in Pakistan and the profit margin on a $300.00 Vest made in Pakistan is Huge……But in the Process of making Huge Profits America is on the Verge of Bankruptcy.
It has been said That A Country with No Manufacturing base is doomed!!….That is the Truth!!
Manufacturing in the USA is at the Lowest it’s ever been.
We don’t Make Stuff anymore. We should have seen it coming…. But we didn’t
Its the Globalist and the Multi-national Companies agenda and we fell for it….Free Trade
There was a time when the biker community would have not put up with this shit
What happened?
Here at Lil Joe’s Legendary Leathers we’ve had numerous opportunities to manufacture our Leathers in Pakistan and other third world countries.
We can get our vests made in Pakistan for $20.00 each and sell em for $300.00 here in the USA.
Greed is a Bitch but we refuse to bow.
Lil Joe believed in Quality first, Profit Margin second and he was right!! For America to succeed….Our Fellow Countryman Must Stop supporting the insane policies of the Globalist.
American Bikers must start to support America First and demand That all of our Motorcycle products be made in the USA. Put Americans back to work and do it Now!!
Let The American Biker start the Revolution
Maybe just maybe the rest of America will follow.
–Madd Mike

If you experience headaches, fatigue or mild depression, this yoga pose could help. The wide-legged forward bend, also known as Prasarita Padottanasana I (meaning “stretched out,” or “with outstretched limbs”), reputedly has many benefits, including therapeutic use for headache, lack of energy and poor mood. When done with proper form for the recommended amount of time, this pose can:
* Strengthen and stretch the legs and the spine
* Tone the abdominal organs
* Calm the mind
* Relieve mild backache

KENTUCKY Secretary of State Precinct Election Officers Needed Across the Commonwealth–(Frankfort, KY) Secretary of State Trey Grayson is encouraging citizens to take an active role in the upcoming general election by signing up to become a precinct election officer. Precinct election officers, or poll workers as they are sometimes called, are still needed in many counties across the state, and now is the time to sign up and participate.
“Precinct election officers are the lifeblood of the elections process in America. Without the service of these individuals, our democracy would not be possible,” stated Secretary Grayson. “Many counties are in need of more precinct election officers for the November 2nd general election, and I want to encourage all voters to consider serving their Commonwealth in this capacity.”
To serve as a precinct election officer, you must be a qualified voter, have not changed your party affiliation one year prior to the appointment, not be a candidate foroffice during the election year, and shall not be the spouse, parent, brother, sister, or child of a candidate who is to be voted for at the election in the precinct in which the election officer will serve on election day. Voters who will be 18 on or before November 2, 2010 are eligible to serve in the upcoming general election.
Each precinct in the state is required to have four precinct officers serving on the day of the election. Each election officer is paid a minimum of sixty dollars per election, as well as additional payment for mileage and mandatory training.
Precinct election officers’ duties include attending a mandatory training, arranging the polling location with necessary information and equipment, processing voters, and completing and returning paperwork to the County Clerk’s office on election night.
“County Clerks across the Commonwealth are always in need of concerned citizens willing to serve as election officers,” commented Metcalfe County Clerk Carol England, president of the Kentucky County Clerks Association. “This is an excellent opportunity for citizens to further participate in the democratic process, and we hope that many eligible voters will seize on this opportunity to serve their state.”
To sign up to become a precinct election officer or to find out more specific information about election officers in your county, please contact your local county clerk. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL–We’ve got kids around here who spend their entire weekends watching games. I don’t know where they find the time. I spent Friday afternoon working at Bennett’s Performance on the Assalt Weapan. We’re shooting for a run at the Mojave Mile in four months. We will start break-in with new rings from Accurate Engineering next week.

I will tear into my other 120-inch Outlaw Panhead this afternoon. It’s making a terrible noise around the rear head. Maybe Eric Bennett will roll by and listen to it. Seems it bent some pushrods when we received it. I replaced the pushrods, but now it makes a terrible clanking noise under load.
I’m working on book chapters and planning a pre Love Ride Party. Okay, so I might find the time to watch a portion of Sunday Night football. It’s all good, and watch for another feature on Ken Conte’s build next week and European event coverage. I’m working on Randy’s feature and a tech with Zippers, PM and Bub on a 2010 dresser. And I can’t thank Art, from Quick throttle enough for all the Las Vegas Bikefest images. Made my day.

Ride Forever,
