Bandit?s gone to Daytona, and I have the girls coming over today for an L Word Marathon.
We received the bad news on Friday that our friend Chet Burozski died in his hotel room in Daytona. Very sad. I spoke to him on a weekly basis and considered him one of my good friends, but never met him face to face. I feel a loss, and I know there are so many more out there who feel it too. Rest in peace, Chet.
As for the Sunday Post, as you will see it is small. We didn?t seem to get much this last week leading up to Bike Week. I hope you enjoy it?

CANTINA TECH INFO FROM DEPARTURE BIKE WORKS–I’m still learning and Lee will humor me with info from time to time, just enough to keep me dangerous to myself. Here’s what he had to say about Panhead timing and carbs. “Because of the crummy T- manifold,” Lee said,” It’s easy to puddle gas into the intake manifold, if the carb has an accelerator pump. I turn off the pumps or adjust them what down. Too much gas running into the ports will damage the ring package and destroy the top end.”
Saying Goodbye To Chet–Hey Bandit, I can’t believe the news about Chet. Myself and everyone here in Indy are just devastated. He was a remarkable, true, passionate friend that will live in the hearts of many. He went to great strides to help everyone. Just last weekend I needed help at the Motorcycle Expo in Indy and guess who was the first one there. You bet, my pal Chet. He called me on the way to Daytona to tell me that his mother had a bed made up for me to stay there. He was always there for me and I’m sure many others have similar stories.
All I can say is rest in peace pal, I’ll see ya when I get there!

SETS JUNE 30 AS MILLION MILE MONDAY– Members Will Band Together to Log a Cumulative Million Miles by Day’s End MILWAUKEE – (February 29, 2008) On Monday, June 30, 2008, Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) members around the world will band together in a singular challenge, to log a cumulative one million riding miles by the day’s end.
Whether they ride around the block or all day, solo or as part of a group, wherever in the world they ride, H.O.G. members participating in Million Mile Monday will ride together in a unique opportunity to make club history.
“Ride to work, at lunch, or all day long. Ride alone, with friends, or with your chapter,” said Mike Keefe, V.P. of the Harley Owners Group. “Just get out, ride and have fun.”
Million Mile Monday, which H.O.G. hopes to make an annual event on the last Monday of June, is open to all H.O.G. members– riders or passengers.
