Hey,
It’s all about the SmokeOut this coming week. I’m flying to Charleston, SC to pick up my Indian at American Biker, the Indian Dealership. Then Commander Edge and I are riding to a Navy Base to pick up the swabs, and ride to Suck Bang and Blow in Myrtle Beach for the Pre Party. All are welcome.
The next morning we take massive amounts of aspirin and ride to a Pancake House for breakfast, then to Rockingcrest NC for the 16th Bikernet Sponsored SmokeOut. Then Hang On for the most action packed event in the world.
Let’s hit the news, I need to pack.
BIKERNET CERTIFIED DENTIST– Finally had my teeth done, people ask me who I go to for dental care. I’ve found this dentist in New City who is totally painless…

Depending when & where, you may just wonder into a Saloon housing a wild burnout contest with the Industries most well known characters burning up a few tires. In other words, Sturgis is NEVER BORING!
There is always something to tickle your fancy. Enjoy the action right here in Bandit’s Cantina!

ZIPPER’S TECH Article Update–
After I submitted the article I realized I didn’t comment on the degree of difficulty for the installation. I contacted Bandit at Bikernet and after he reamed me a new one he told me to get off my ass and submit an update to cover it.
It really is a very straight forward process. In my opinion anybody who is capable of doing regular maintenance or light repairs on their motorcycle should find this fairly easy with no special tools needed other than the 22mm wrench for the O2 sensors. Zippers did an excellent job of designing this product to be very user friendly. Without the need for removal and welding on your exhaust, the whole job shouldn’t take much more than a couple hours. Start at 8:00 AM and you ought to be riding by 11:00 AM.
The only caveat to this would be if your exhaust pipes aren’t already equipped with O2 sensor bungs; like mine. If you need the O2 sensor bungs installed and you yourself don’t weld; you would obviously need to have a friend do it or take it to a shop which can add more time to the job, especially if the shop won’t do it while you wait.

Q : Why don’t Jewish mothers drink?

A : It’s called, “Debbie Does Dishes.”
Q : Why do Jewish mothers make great parole officers?
A : They never let anyone finish a sentence.
A man called his mother in Florida . “Mom, how are you?”
“Not too good,” said the mother. “I’ve been very weak.”
The son said, “Why are you so weak?”
She said, “Because I haven’t eaten in 38 days.”
The son said, “That’s terrible. Why haven’t you eaten in 38 days? “
The mother answered, “Because, I didn’t want my mouth to be full in case you should call.”
Lucas Oil Announces Most Extensive Motorsport Support Program In Its History–
Indianapolis, IN (June 08, 2015) – Lucas Oil Products, Inc., a world leader in developing advanced motor oils and other lubricants for competition, high-performance and stock, on- and off-road motorcycles, automobiles and ATVs, trucks, competition and recreational watercraft and numerous other machines in motion, today announced the most extensive motorsport sponsorship and support initiative in its 25 year-plus history.
“Major commitments to event, team and series sponsorships is nothing new for us,” Lucas Oil CEO Forrest Lucas said, commenting on the all-encompassing nature of the 2015 sponsorship program. “From Day One we have been firm believers in the cliché that competition improves the breed and we have consistently used the feedback we get from the track, trail, mud, etc. to fine-tune existing products.
“But that’s far from the only reason we commit a significant portion of our resources to planting the Lucas flag over the entire motorsports landscape,” Lucas added. “The truth is that if a machine moves, and if it has an internal combustion engine and/or an automatic or manual transmission, transfer case, bearings, steering system, refillable suspension components or any number of other lubricated parts, the odds are excellent that we offer superior replacement lubricants and additives for it. Made-in-America products that will make that machine perform better, run more economically and/or extend its maintenance intervals and service life.
So if that machine, whatever it is, is being used in competitive sports, we feel that supporting those events is a no-brainer way for us to give something back to the communities and people who have helped Lucas Oil grow and prosper over all these years.”
From A (air shows and AMA events) to Z (drag racing at zMax Dragway), from Monster Trucks to motocross to quarter-midgets, from the Redfish Challenge to Professional Bull Riding (hey, the trucks hauling those massive sides of beef around have to run cool, right?), here are some highlights from the 2015 Lucas Oil sponsorship lineup:

MARINE INDUSTRY ON ETHANOL FUELS– The EPA recently announced its plans to increase the
Country’s ethanol mandate to historic levels. That’s right, despite the science and facts about the harms of ethanol, the government is doubling-down on its handout to corn farmers and ethanol producers.
But the government can’t just quietly inflate the levels of ethanol in our fuel without hearing first from the public. They have to collect comments until July 27th. The easiest way to submit a comment, and tell the EPA to reverse course, is right here, right now with Boating United.
To make matters worse, in a gift to the ethanol industry, the White House is handing them a $100 million check to install blender pumps across the
US. These are the pumps equipped to dispense E15 and higher blends at your local gas stations. You’ve got that right; the government is doing
everything it can to force E15 into our fuel.
Unless we stop them.
If you are afraid of what ethanol can and will do to marine engines, water quality and the environment, then you need to comment. (And while You’re at it, you’ll be asked to send a quick note to your legislators to encourage them to step in and stop the EPA.)
If our industry fails to speak up now, you better believe E15 will be at your corner station before you know it. And that’s bad for boating and
for business. Tell the EPA: No More Ethanol

ABOUT THE 5-BALL DONATION TO THE STURGIS MUSEUM– You said in your article that mentioned the 50th anniversary Sturgis bike, which was positioned on your famous Wheeler Work Station, center stage, recently in the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum. I was responsible for rebuilding and freshening it.
I built it 25 years ago, someone else did the rebuild and refresh for the 75th.
I am trying to organize a trip to Bonneville this August, so I may see you there.

BOBBY FONG FINISHES THIRD IN SUPERSPORT RACE ONE AT TRIUMPH SUPERBIKE CHALLENGE– Triumph rider Bobby Fong earned his first podium finish of the 2015 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship as his #50 Latus Motors Racing / Castrol / Triumph Daytona 675R finish third in Supersport race one at the Triumph Superbike Challenge.
Starting second on the grid for the 21-lap race at Barber Motorsports Park, Fong quickly became entrenched in a four-way battle for the lead. A small mistake coming out of the third turn at the midway point of the race saw Fong drop down to fourth. He put his head down and charged back to third, putting himself within striking distance of the leaders. Fong looked to attack for second place in the closing laps before settling for third, a mere 0.596 seconds behind first.
“It feels great to put the Latus Motors Racing / Castrol / Triumph Daytona 675R onto the podium today,” said Bobby Fong. “We always want the win, but I can’t be too disappointed with third after the moment I had. Tomorrow’s another day and I know we’ll be up there again.”
The second MotoAmerica Supersport race will be on Sunday, June 14, at 2:40 p.m. CDT and streamed live at www.FansChoice.TV
The Triumph Superbike Challenge of Alabama will air on CBS Sports Network on June 21 at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Further event information, including tickets and a detailed schedule, can be found at www.BarberMotorsports.com

METZELER conquer the 2015 Isle of Man TT: four wins and eleven visits to the podium– Satisfaction for the tire brand thanks to a hat-trick of Ian Hutchinson winning both Supersport and Superstock plus the success of Ivan Lintin in the Bennetts Lightweight TT, as well as the podiums obtained by Guy Martin, James Hillier and Gary Johnson
Douglas (Isle of Man), 12 June 2015 – The undisputed star of the 2015 Isle of Man TT was undoubtedly Ian Hutchinson, who this year, for his great revival to the top of the road racing world, chose to run, and win, with METZELER RACETEC™ RR tires.
‘Hutchy’ known famously for his five wins at the 2010 Tourist Trophy, when he established the record for the highest number of victories in a single TT year. Then, in the same season, a bad crash at Silverstone during the British Supersport Championship seemed to have forever marked the destiny of the talented British rider. Five years later, having undergone 30 surgeries to his injured left leg, Ian Hutchinson came back stronger than ever and at the 2015 edition brought METZELER three times to the top step of the podium winning both Monster Energy Supersport TT races as well as the RL360° Superstock TT.
A great result achieved thanks to his courage and determination but also with the contribution given by the tires he used, the METZELER RACETEC™ RR, the same also used by all the METZELER riders participating in Supersport and Superstock races, as well as Ivan Lintin who gained a fourth success for METZELER, winning the Bennetts Lightweight TT today.
RACETEC™ RR was developed directly from the experience of METZELER in Road Racing competition, in which the brand of the elephant logo has been participating with good results for several years. These races do not take place on track, but on roads that are open to the public throughout the year, where you can find all the situations that riders encounter in everyday riding. For this reason these events were chosen by METZELER as a test and development ground.
RACETEC™ RR is dedicated to racers of all levels plus trackday riders who use the circuit for their hobby, plus owners of supersport and naked bikes who enjoy a sporty riding style wanting ultimate grip even on the road, looking for excitement and a high performance level. That’s why in 2015, thanks to its excellent performance, has been chosen by the most authorative European magazines as the tire of choice for the supersport comparative tests and elected by the British magazine MCN as the ‘best hypersport tire on the market’.
This follows in the successful tiretracks of the more road focused METZELER SPORTEC™ M7 RR which was also developed during the brand’s road racing campaign in 2013, going on to win road tests and plaudits around the world ever since.
At this year’s races METZELER brings home a rich booty consisting of four wins and eleven podiums. Already in the RST Superbike TT race last Saturday, METZELER started well thanks to the performance ofIan Hutchinson (Kawasaki / Paul Bird Motorsport) who arrived second and James Hillier (Kawasaki / Quattro Plant Muc-Off Kawasaki) who got the last step of the podium.
The victories for the tire brand then followed in no time: on Monday, June 8th, Ian Hutchinson won the Monster Energy Supersport TT 1 on the Yamaha of the Traction Control Team and then the RL360° Superstock TT on the Kawasaki of Paul Bird Motorsport – both shod with METZELER RACETEC™ RRtires. In Supersport the METZELER podium was completed by the third place of Gary Johnson.
Wednesday, June 10th, saw the Monster Energy Supersport TT 2 consecrate Ian Hutchinson as the most successful rider of the 2015 Tourist Trophy. The Yorkshire rider went on to win his third race, joined on the podium in third position was Guy Martin on the Triumph of the Smiths Racing team.
The final day opened with a double for METZELER as Ivan Lintin with the Kawasaki of the RC Express Racing team gained its first overall victory in the Tourist Trophy by winning the Bennetts Lightweight TT, followed on the podium in second position by another METZELER rider, James Hillier (Kawasaki / Quattro Plant Kawasaki Muc-Off).
To close the day and the 2015 edition of the Tourist Trophy was as always the PokerStars Senior TT Superbike race. Due to an incident involving some riders, the competition was interrupted by a red flag in the second lap before being rescheduled with four laps instead of the six originally planned. At the restart the performance of METZELER riders were excellent: James Hillier was second on the finish line, Ian Hutchinson was third despite a power draining engine problem and in fourth position under the checkered flag is Guy Martin.
These are the results of the 2015 Isle of Man TT solo races (in bold are the METZELER riders):
RST Superbike TT (Saturday, June 6th)
1. Bruce Anstey (Honda / Valvoline Racing by Padgetts)
2. Ian Hutchinson (Kawasaki / Paul Bird Motorsport)

Having successfully campaigned the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT, the commitment of METZELER activities in road racing does not end but continue for the upcoming events in the calendar. Guy Martin, William Dunlop, Dean Harrison and Ivan Lintin participate in the Southern 100 scheduled 6-9 of July. Also in Northern Ireland from 3 to 8 August will take place the METZELER Ulster Grand Prix, a competition in which the tire brand is the title sponsor for the third consecutive year and which will be attended by Guy Martin, William Dunlop, Ian Hutchinson, Gary Johnson, Dean Harrison and Ivan Lintin. Finally the Far Eastern event of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, which will start on November 19.

BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY STUDIES–Sex in the after life
A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other if there is sex after death. Their biggest fear was that there was no after life at all.
After a long life together, the husband was the first to die.
True to his word, he made the first contact: “Marion, Marion.”
“Is that you, Bob?”
“Yes, I’ve come back like we agreed.”
“That’s wonderful! What’s it like?”
“Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it’s off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then
have sex a couple of more times.
Then I have lunch (you’d be proud — lots
of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon.
After supper, it’s back to golf course again.
Then it’s more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again”.
“Oh, Bob! Heaven sounds so wonderful?”
Heaven? “Oh no… I’m a rabbit somewhere in Arizona.”
