case

If you're building a bike, restoring a classic, or tinkering with a hot rod, the process will surely involve making some new tubing lines. This has always been a tough task. Special tools are required. The effort shifted from a major struggle to a breeze with the Brake Quip. The program is now Fast and Easy. Plus, this tool can be used for other tubing needs as well.

picka die
First, you need to pick the correct sized die for your tubing.

Start off by placing the tool in a vice. Select the die set for the size tubing you are flaring and insert it into the tool. Insert tubing through die until it is flush and clamp in place. Install correct punch and operation. Then line it up with the tubing material.

clamped
Then clamp it into place, with the leading edge aligned with the face of the die.

Pull the handle until the contoured punch bottoms out in die set. Unscrew T-handle and open die clamp.

select the punch
Install the tool wheel and spin it to the appropriate punch head.

That’s it.
