If you're building a bike, restoring a classic, or tinkering with a hot rod, the process will surely involve making some new tubing lines. This has always been a tough task. Special tools are required. The effort shifted from a major struggle to a breeze with the Brake Quip. The program is now Fast and Easy. Plus, this tool can be used for other tubing needs as well.
Start off by placing the tool in a vice. Select the die set for the size tubing you are flaring and insert it into the tool. Insert tubing through die until it is flush and clamp in place. Install correct punch and operation. Then line it up with the tubing material.
Pull the handle until the contoured punch bottoms out in die set. Unscrew T-handle and open die clamp.
That’s it.
Quick and simple.
There are two sets available: BQ350, which has dies for 45 and 37 degree single and double flares as well as DIN on 3/16 to 1/2 tubing.
It comes with 14 die sets and 16 punches.
The BQ351 is the basic version, which has dies for 45 degree flares in sizes from 3/16 to 3/8 and includes a 4.75mm size as well.
