Motorcycle and scooter riders in the Philippines are up in protest against some of the most stupid law projects we ever heard of: banning riding with a pillion and wearing a vest with the bike’s license plates printed on it.
We all know the drill: when politicians are no longer able to provide decent solutions for certain problems in a country (any country) some of them will always come up with outrageously stupid law proposals to level things out.
The local government invoked the raising motorcycle-related criminality in the metropolitan area of capital Manila as the trigger for such a law.
