Many people have asked and seem stuck with the problemthat the spool hub wheels are only available for 5/8-inchaxles. There is a fairly quick and easy way to solvethis problem.
The short answer is:
1. Replace 5/8-inchbearings with ¾-inch axle bearings.
2. Replace 5/8-inch center bearing support sleeve with new one of ¾-inch ID.
The detailed version of this is as follows:
Pic1-The V-twin 5/8-inch spool hub wheel.
Pic 2- the 3/4-inch axle just won't fit.
Pic 3- the ID of the 5/8-inch bearing.
Pic 4- The OD of the 3/4-inch axle.
Pic 5- One option is to turn down your 3/4-inch axle to a5/8-inch one. Since our goal here is to run a 3/4-inchaxle we won't do that.
Pic 6- CAREFULLY remove the 5/8-inch bearings.

Pic 8- The 5/8-inch inner bearing support sleeve need tobe removed and replaced as well.
Pic 9- The old bearing and inner support. I guess youcould try to sell them or just put them on the shelf.
Pic10- measure the inside of the hub or the oldbearing to get the correct OD when buying the newbearings.
Pic 11- Take accurate readings of the inside of the hubfor the new bearing support spacer.

Pic 14- Check for proper fit before boring the axle hole.

Pic 21- Do not hit the inner portion of the bearing duringthe install…you will damage the bearing if you do!
Pic 22- Use a piece of hollow tube or even a socket thecorrect size to pound in the bearings.
