ChoppaHead The Film

choppahead cover

This DVD is put together by Choppahead Motorcycles and is an inside look into the world of underground Choppers paying tribute to home builders across the world. It's no high budget movie but entertaining and informative nonetheless and for those of you who like your music loud and raw. It features tracks from hardcore/punk/metal acts such as, Out To Win, Snapshot, Blood For Blood, Crash & Burn and more.

There is some great footage, including Ben and Troy from Lancaster flying down the road standing on the seat of their rigid Shovels and not to mention their love of burnouts– Good Shit.

You'll see everything from Swedish style choppers with their mile long rakes and huge back tyres, to chopped Triumphs, Pans, Shovels and Rat Bikes – it really runs the whole gammit. There's many interviews with like minded people willing to give anything a go. What I really liked about this DVD is that it will get you thinking, chances are you'll feel like chopping your bike or changing something on it, or just dragging it out of the shed and going for a blast. The fact is, you don't need huge amounts of money to build or have a cool bike. Choppahead deals with ordinary people here folks, like the working class man, playing around with his own bike, beer in one hand oxy in the other, in the back shed with your mates, ah!! man don't ya love it, like the Nike ad says– Just Do It.

The crew also cover events like the The Smokey Mountain Smoke Out, Viva Las Vegas, the Lonestar Roundup, and more. For you rodders, you get your share of some pretty cool Rods. Definitely worth a 'look-see'.

MUSIC, MOVIE AND DVD REVIEWS COMING TO BIKERNET–Here's a taste of thing to come form the Bikernet staff, including Glenn Priddle from Australia.

” Mike Morgan and The Crawl”.
Raw & Ready.
Black Top Records.

“Mike Morgan” was born near Dallas Texas in 1959, started playing the guitar in early years, but wasn't until 1985 when he got turned on to Steve Ray Vaughan's album ” Texas Flood” that he started taking his guitar playing seriously.

Shortly after meeting a couple of experienced musicians, namely, top vocalist Darrel Nulisch. The band ” Mike Morgan and The Crawl” were formed and they quickly made a name for themselves as one of the best contempory blues bands in Texas. Nulisch left the band and was replaced by “Lee Mc Bee”, a blues veteran known for his gravely voice and excellent harmonica playing.

The band overwhelmed audiences while playing all the major Blues and Jazz Festivals. It was at one of these concerts that Hammond Scott owner of Black Top Records saw the band and immediately signed them to his label. The band toured national and internationally promoting their new album, “Raw and Ready”. The band to this day are still heavily in demand and have several top albums to their credit.

I guarantee you this CD will get you rockin and at the different times on certain tracks, will bring you back down to a very relaxed state while you enjoy a beer or bourbon. Band leader “Mike Morgan” delivers great guitar solos, and together with “Lee Mc Bee”, his unique voice plus his dynamic harmonica playing, soon has you realizing what a great team they are, and not forgetting the rest of the band to bring this whole package together delivering a cross section of “Blues and R&B” that leave you wanting more.
