An exciting news coming your way. This whole EPA thing is breaking wide open. Our Bonneville effort is flying together with the support of Custom Chrome, Accurate Engineering, Custom Performance and Departure Bike Works. We’ll be launch reports rapidly as they all come together.
I’m a freak about jinxing a deal, so I’m holding my breath until a couple of things come together, then I’ll unleash the word here on another aspect of our Bonneville effort.
There’s so much on my mind, that I better just leave it alone. We’re rolling into the notorious holiday season during a war effort, terrible weather damage and a wicked winter ahead. I have someone I know who worked for the EPA for over 25 years and he has agreed to give me some help and ideas about how they work. Here are a couple for starters.
MOTOCYCLES MAKE UP .01% OF VEHICLES. THEIR IMPACT IS NEGLIGABLE AT ANY MEASUREMENT STANDARD. THEY FAILED TO DO AN ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE STUDY ON THE MOTORCYCLE INDUSTRY AND MOTOR CYCLE RIDERS WHO ARE NOT AN ELUSIVE BUNCH. THEY ARE VERY CONSPICUOUS WHEN RIDING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.
FOR THE COMMERCE CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION SAYS THAT ONE CANNOT BLOCK COMMERCE WITHOUT DUE INFUENCE. MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT A DUE INFLUENCE. IF I CAN MAKE A COMPARISON THEY ARE LIKE DINOSAURS, OUT OF SIGHT AND OUT OF MINE TO THE REGULATORS.
WHAT THEY DID TO RESTRICT KITS AND TO INCREASE MOTOR ACCEPTANCE REGARDING POLLUTION DOES NOT EVEN COME TO ONE MILLIMETER ON A ONE MILE RULER AS FAR AS ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT IS CONCERNED. IT PROBABLY DID THEM SOME GOOD OR THEY WOULD NOT HAVE SPENT THE TIME AND MONEY TO TAKE IT ALL THE WAY TO A FINAL RULE.
If the EPA Failed To Do One Of The Required Studies It May Null And Void The Regulations. I will try to check into this but sure could use some help. How about passing this on to others that are interested?

PERFORMANCE MACHINE MARQUEE, DOMINO AND JUDGE WHEELS FOR 2006–Just when it looked like the wheel market had settled into a safe and repetitive groove, PM comes out with three totally new designs that we can’t wait to see on a bunch of bikes. Machined from a solid aluminum forging, Performance Machine went full on bling with the Marquee. This thing is twenty arced spokes coming from a webbed center to create a wheel that looks like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
The Domino is also a multispoke wheel, but with a clean, open design that would look great on just about anything.
The Judge really caught our eye, too with its five vintage mag style spokes and machined speed dots around the perimeter.

WOOD WINTER BOOK REVIEW– Just finished a book, ROAD FEVER by Tim Cahill. Vintage books copyright 1991. It recounts his drive from the tip of south America to Alaska in 27 days. Guiness book of records for fastest trip etc. Some good stuff about central America and Mexico. Might be worth a look.

This one was particularly difficult to part with…6 out drop 2 and a 40 degree neck…
