Hey,
It’s a great day. I’ll tell you why. I just made a mad run to Utah last weekend and picked up a basket 1940 WLD 45-inch flathead. It’s the basis of our first Bonneville effort, and you’ll see it come together on Bikernet. This shot is our Mascot for the build except for the flat tire. Hey, I’ll looking for some WLD tanks, these were built for a servi-car with a right hand shift.
I think (probably dreaming) that I’m getting a handle on the Holiday blues and scheduling for 2006. We keep saying that we’re going to hang close to the Headquarters, reduce travel, finish more books and devote most of our time to Bikernet. Get this, right here in LA there are several events within a day’s ride. There’s a show in Phoenix, the Long Beach Cycle World show, the Cow Palace Swap meet and the Sunday Ventura David Mann antique show. Holy fuck!
That’s overwhelming. Let’s hit the news and I’ll pour some of our schedule and cure for the Holiday blues, over ice cubes at the end:

Could it be that the Agent Zebra screenplay, that Bandit consulted on, 1%er, might become a movie. Seems Lorenzo Lamas is negotiating with Zebra’s agent to option the wild biker movie that has gangs of outlaws running from all corners of the country to do battle in the Keys. “Lorenzo is some wap trying to option 1%ER,” the agent continued. “If you run it, be sure to credit Kount (Kount’s Customs) with the killer air breather cover.” The guy never makes any sense. THE MYSTERY OF THE BRASS BELL–A friend of mine was involved in an accident on his Road King (somebody turned in front of him and swears they didn’t see him). The bike was totaled and by the grace of God…he wasn’t! It was the love of his life with almost 100,000 miles on it many of which I was passenger. A couple of years ago I gave him a bell to keep away the road demons and when he was able to get up and about and go see his bike he kept it along with a few chrome pieces he wanted for the new bike.
Another biker friend at work said he wasn’t sure if the old bell which was involved in the accident would be good luck or bad luck to put on the new bike and suggested I e-mail you and ask. The legend card doesn’t talk about re-using the bell. What’s your opinion?

Custom Performance had a great display with their now famous turbo bikes. Militec-1 shared the space with CP; the guys at Custom Performance have really gotten behind this product. For more information about Militec-1, visit my website www.vtracegirl.com. Militec-1 increases power, reduces wear and reduces operating temperatures, a cool deal that just pours in your crankcase. Nick Trask, dyno specialist at Custom performance has consistently seen a 2 to 3 horsepower gain after adding Militec and verifying the gains on a proven dyno run.
I was working (signing posters) in the Legend Air ride Suspension/Independent Cycle, Inc. booth. My custom fatboy and Custom Performance Turbo V-Rod race bike was on display in the Legend booth. Next week, I will be in Gainesville, Fl. attending the Frank Hawley’s NHRA Drag Racing School. I will be polishing my skills with the help of George Bryce. A two-day school at the Gainesville Raceway on a Pro Stock Suzuki, 250 horsepower, 7 second ET at about 170 mph. They will enhance my staging, burn out procedures, timing system, proper procedure, handling and safety and bump up my “mental” side of the sport. Looking forward to learning from the best, George Bryce. If I drive well for the 6 runs, maybe they will sign off for my NHRA Competition License. Cross your fingers!
I want to give a special thanks to Kirk Johnson-Web Designer for keeping my website up-to-date. Without his help, my website would not be what it is today.
