Hey,
This should be interesting. Yesterday I rode over to an art exhibit in Long Beach with a couple of Hamsters. It was somewhat associated with the Ink and Iron convention on the Queen Mary this weekend. The art exhibit revolved around tattoo related dragons, Art of the Dragon. Some of this art was magnificent, and it was all for sale. If your interested check out: www.smallpaultattoo.com.
Next door to the exhibit a small biker boutique flourish on Linden Ave in downtown. It’s called Dixie, and he had some cool shit. Here’s his email: DixieDenimcompany@gmail.com. His shop was devoted to kitchy motorcycle stuff and apparel.
There’s an attack on our freedoms from the media spreading right now. Again they proclaim safety to be of greater concern than freedom. They will lie and twist the facts to make their inaccurate points. I have never understood this element of the media. No one is a stronger supporter of constitutional freedoms and first amendment. If tomorrow, a law was created against covering crimes of violence, because it glorifies violence and violent criminals, which leads to more violence, the media would go nuts, proclaiming their constitutional rights to freedom of speech. They need to wake up. Safety crates would take over the world, if we let them. Let’s hit the news:

NEW INDIAN RESTORATION UNVEILED–
Just finished (yesterday) assembly of my 1946 Indian Chief, which spent the last 4 years in bare metal. You’ll remember Ray, your Performance Editor, rode this one!
It took me a long time to visualize the color combination I wanted but finally decided on original Indian colors of jade green and yellow cream. Putting it together was a challenge as there is only one way to disassemble and assemble these Indians and if you miss a step you get to start all over again…
I had to restart a few times even though I’ve done this before! Getting holes to match up was a challenge: I think that each Indian had holes drilled in it individually by the assembler long ago so no two are the same. It’s also nerve racking since there is so little room for error with those fat fenders and the close fitting frame. I had to cover all the potential contact points with masking tape and brown paper to protect them from scratching.
After two days of careful fitting this is the result– nice. If you’re ever up this way in the Pacific NW, you’ll have something to ride!

The Low Down on the Iron Industry–
In a Volatile Economy, the Foundry Business is Stronger than Ever–The iron industry has been around for generations with foundries playing a key role in the industrial revolution, so how has the traditional roots of this business changed over the years? James (JB) Brown, President of Bremen Castings, Inc. which has been a family-owned foundry for more than 70 years, explains that the strides in new technology has made the industry as a whole more environmentally-friendly.
“In an industry as old as the foundry business, staying up-to-date on technology is essential,” says Brown. “New factories are no longer being built; the last private matchplate foundry was built over 20 years ago. Since the foundry business isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, it is imperative to improve upon the technology that is used.”
About Bremen Castings Inc.: this family owned foundry and machine shop was founded in 1939 in Bremen, Indiana. With over 70 years of experience, BCI is known worldwide for its quality gray and ductile iron machined castings. As a leader in the machining & foundry industry, Bremen houses its own machine shop & foundry. Keeping up with technology is high on the priority list with the Brown family as the company continually reinvests in new equipment for production, environmental, and automation improvements. BCI uses 92% recycled ferrous material to produce world class gray and ductile iron castings for our world market. ROLLING THUNDER XXV–
Custom Tribute Bikes Reporting for Duty to Pay Tribute to the Armed Forces.
The five custom tribute bikes honoring Rolling Thunder’s XXV anniversary were unveiled at the C*A*M*M*O Tribute Stage on May 26 to a rousing crowd of onlookers, including veterans, servicemen and servicewomen. Each bike, representing a branch of the military, was incredibly well-received by the military persons who served for their respective branch.
A record 550,000 riders and 1.2 million people attended Rolling Thunder XXV in Washington D.C. The unveiling was web streamed live to the Armed Forces Network. Jay Allen, creator of the Broken Spoke Saloon and Jay Allen’s Road Show facilitated the entire tribute bike build.
Custom builders Dar Holdsworth, Brigitte Bourget, and Mike “Kiwi” Tomas, along with the family of Billy Lane, and including host Jay Allen came together to pay tribute to Rolling Thunder. None of the elite builders knew what the other was creating so every bike was unique and focused particularly for that branch.
“Unveiling the five tribute bikes really capped what was already a very poignant, emotional day for everyone,” said Cathie Lechareas, executive director of C*A*M*M*O (Center for Military Music Opportunities). “There was a huge buzz about the bikes; media couldn’t wait to get a look and the service members in particular were very moved and grateful. As each bike was driven onstage, the crowd became even more excited. It was a tremendous thrill and privilege to have those bikes unveiled at our event,” she added.
Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia, the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, presented each one of the builders with a commemorative coin during the unveiling.
The five custom tribute bikes led the honorary Rolling Thunder Demonstration Run. Mike “Kiwi” Tomas rode his 1945 Indian in tribute to the Coast Guard, Dar Holdsworth saddled up on his Navy build, long-time friend of Billy Lane, Harry Bostard, rode Billy’s Air Force tribute bike, and Derrick “Moots” McDonagh, GM of Bourget Bike Works rode their Marines Tribute Bike, with Jay riding his Army bike. Chris Maida from American Iron Magazine, which is featuring the Coast Guard bike in a forthcoming editorial, also rode with the tribute bikes. Billy Lane’s bike is featured in The Horse Backstreet Choppers magazine.
“This was an easy project for IronWorks to say ‘yes’ to. We were honored to be invited and delighted to participate,” said Marilyn Stemp, editor of IronWorks Magazine, which is featuring the Bourget’s tribute bike build. “Riding behind the military tribute bikes was remarkable, one of life’s unforgettable moments for me. But it’s important to remember that Rolling Thunder began as a demonstration for POW/MIA awareness, and with Bowe Bergdahl currently being held as a POW in Afghanistan, Rolling Thunder’s goal is as relevant now as it was 25 years ago.”
Brigitte Bourget took the wrap off her mystery build, which literally took breaths away across the sea of people watching the Rolling Thunder Tribute event unfold. “The Bourget’s U.S. Marine Corps tribute bike was built by those who are honored by and grateful for the service and sacrifice of all of our U.S. Soldiers and their families, past, present and future,” explained Brigitte Bourget. “With the pledge to always show the utmost respect and the promise of undying dignity to our servicemen and women, it is my great honor to have been a part of the Rolling Thunder XXV Military Bike Tribute Project.”
An entire storyline accompanies the Marines build. “The premise is that a guy built himself a Panhead chopper in the late 60s, then went off to war. When he got home, this is how the bike looked, sitting in his garage waiting for him to come home,” explained Moots, the builder of the bike at Bourget’s Bike Works. Read the story in its entirety at rollingthunderrun.com Marines Tribute Bike.
A long list of sponsors stood proud behind the tribute build event, including some outside of the motorcycle industry like Love’s Truck Stop and Country Stores, providing gas for Dar Holdsworth to travel to Rolling Thunder to drop off his build. Escort Radar Detectors also contributed to the costs. Holdsworth’s Navy tribute build will be featured in Cycle Source magazine. A Desert Storm veteran, he considered this honorary build his best ever, evident in the extreme creative approach he took with the project.
Mike “Kiwi” Tomas of Kiwi Indian Motorcycle Company took his 1945 Indian customized for the Coast Guard on the journey of a lifetime, riding from Santa Monica. “Riding the bike all the way to Washington D.C. was a challenge that I put upon myself riding on America’s back roads, not freeways, which would be the easy way out,” shared Kiwi. “The Coast Guard puts itself on the line and to the test every single day and so did this bike, which we appropriately named CG-1.”
The biggest sponsors were S&S Cycle and Baker Drivetrain, two strong and proud USA manufacturers. “S&S has a long history of support for our veterans and our troops. We are especially proud that four out of the five tribute bikes featured in the Rolling Thunder Rally have S&S engines in them. Our servicemen and women put their lives on the line to defend our freedom, and in my mind, there isn’t a better symbol of freedom than the custom motorcycle. We’re honored that our US made engines are part of this tribute to the American serviceman, “ said Steve Iggens, President of S&S Cycle, Inc.
Walt Sides, Executive Director of Rolling Thunder Washington, D.C., Inc., said, ” The unveiling was an absolute success and people were elated. After the unveiling, the bikes were staged in front of the Pharmaceutical building, receiving attention there, too. The work of the custom bike builders and Jay Allen is very much appreciated.”
“The tribute bikes have been unveiled and are now reporting for duty to pay tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces at events nationwide and overseas, ” added Jay Allen. The first few stops for the bikes will be June 23 in New Jersey at the We R One Annual Benefit Run, with the proceeds to benefit Combat Paper. Next is the Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally, July 25 – 28, and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally from August 6 – 12 at the Thunderdome. More to dates to be announced. She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Little Akio, a bright foreign exchange student from Japan , who had his hand up: “Patrick Henry, 1775,” he said.
“Very good! — Who said, ‘Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth’?”
Again, no response except from Little Akio: “Abraham Lincoln, 1863.”
“Excellent!” said the teacher continuing, “Let’s try one a bit more difficult — Who said, ‘Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country’?”
Once again, Akio’s was the only hand in the air and he said: “John F. Kennedy, 1961.”
The teacher snapped at the class, “Class, you should be ashamed of yourselves, Little Akio isn’t from this country and he knows more about our history than you
do.”
She heard a loud whisper: “F_ _ k the Japs.”
“Who said that? — I want to know right now!? she angrily demanded.
Little Akio put his hand up, “General MacArthur, 1945.”
At that point, a student in the back said, “I’m gonna puke.’
The teacher glares around and asks, ‘All right! — Now who said that?”
Again, Little Akio says, “George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.”
Now furious, another student yells, “Oh yeah? — Suck this!”
Little Akio jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the teacher, “Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997!”
Now with almost mob hysteria someone said, “You little shit! — If you say anything else — I’ll kill you!”
Little Akio frantically yells at the top of his voice, “Michael Jackson to the children testifying against him, 2004.”
The teacher fainted. As the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, “Oh shit, We’re screwed!”
Little Akio said quietly, “The American people, November 4, 2008.”

BIKERNET MEDICAL CLINIC OPENS–
Kevin had shingles. Those of us who spend much time in a doctor’s office should appreciate this! Doesn’t it seem more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line?
Here’s what happened to Kevin: Kevin walked into a doctor’s office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Kevin said: ‘Shingles.’ So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat. ??
Fifteen minutes later a nurse’s aide came out and asked Kevin what he had…Kevin said, ‘Shingles.’ So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Kevin to wait in the examining room.
A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Kevin what he had. Kevin said, ‘Shingles..’ So the nurse gave Kevin a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Kevin to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.
An hour later the doctor came in and found Kevin sitting patiently in the nude and asked Kevin what he had. Kevin said, ‘Shingles.’
The doctor asked, ‘Where?’
Kevin said, ‘Outside on the truck. Where do you want me to unload ’em?

Valerie Thompson Joins “200 MPH Club” at Premier of Mojave Magnum Event–Two-Time Land Speed Record Holder Sets Personal Best Top Speed of 209.5 mph
Valerie Thompson, owner/driver of the Valerie Thompson Land Speed Racing Team, joined an elite group of “Mojave Magnum 200 MPH Club” members at this premier event when she piloted her Martech Services Company BMW to a top speed of 209.5 mph over the new 1.5-mile course on June 2 in Mojave California, reportedly making it the world’s fastest production BMW S1000RR. Teammate Bob Sellers recorded a top speed of 219.5 mph on his Suzuki Hayabusa.
“Co-Crew Chiefs Ray Garcia and Bob Sellers were key in setting up my BMW at the Mojave Magnum Speed Trials. Our bike was really flying,” said Thompson. “We achieved one of the team objectives by gaining entry into the ‘Mojave Magnum 200 MPH Club’. My next goal is to become a member of the famed ‘200 MPH Club’ at the Bonneville Salt Flats,” added Thompson.
“I’m honored to help Valerie’s independent team in achieving this accomplishment. Valerie and her team have worked hard with limited resources to gain optimal results,” said Sellers. “Valerie’s driving was ‘top notch’ and the BMW really responded to our special set up for this competition. I can’t imagine what we could accomplish with a little more sponsorship funding,” added Sellers.
The premiere running of Mojave Magnum was held at the Air & Space Port in Mojave California. The venue is famous for it’s Mojave Mile events, a standing start one-mile speed trial. The Mojave Magnum event was the first time competitors could race a section of runway exactly one and a half miles in length.

Widely considered one of the most heroic and legendary racing automobiles ever conceived, the GT40 succeeded the Shelby Daytona coupe as Ford’s standard-bearer during the infamous Ford-Ferrari wars of the 1960s. Among its many achievements, the utterly dominant GT40 stands proudly as the first American-built racing car to take victory at La Sarthe, and it scored consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 through 1969. Concurrent road cars featured similar mechanical specifications to its racing counterpart but with slightly less austere cockpits, which included fully upholstered interiors. In total, only 133 of all variations of the original factory GT40 were built before production ceased in 1969.
““The legendary Ford GT40 is without doubt one of the most celebrated and sought after motor cars ever built. Both aesthetically and competitively, it remains a highpoint in the history of American racing and sports car design,” says Shelby Myers, Managing Director, RM California. “To have the honor of offering one GT40 is a great privilege, but to present two, spanning both sides of GT40 production, is extremely exciting. We are truly honored to have been entrusted by the respective owners of these two cars to present them at our Monterey sale. Previously displayed together at the GT40 30th Anniversary Reunion in Elkhart Lake in 1994, we are thrilled to be reuniting the cars on the Monterey Peninsula in August, where we anticipate strong interest in their sale.”

Rock Machine member Benjamin Sipkes, 31, was convicted in the Supreme Court in April over the shooting, but found not guilty of attempting to murder West Australian Rebels club president Nick Martin.
Mr Martin was shot in the arm as he arrived at his home in suburban Balcatta on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in March last year.
Sipkes was sentenced in the Supreme Court on Thursday to six years and four months in prison, backdated to when he was taken into custody in March last year.
He was also made eligible for parole.
In sentencing, Justice Stephen Hall noted that Sipkes was not a violent person but had also not cooperated with police, most likely out of fear for his safety and that of his family.
He said Sipkes had also not shown remorse towards the victim despite writing a letter to the court apologizing for the cost and time it took for the trial.
Justice Hall said Sipkes’ admission in his letter that he had made a “misjudgment” was an understatement.
“It was a planned attack of violence involving a firearm in a residential area,” Justice Hall said.
He said there was overwhelming evidence to prove that Sipkes was the shooter and that Sipkes had gone to great lengths to cover up his tracks by burning his clothing and the vehicle he used in the shooting.
Justice Hall said although only three shots were fired, more were intended, and the injuries sustained by Mr Martin could have been far worse.
While in prison awaiting sentencing, Sipkes was attacked and suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in the neck with a broom.
He has been in protective custody since the attack and Justice Hall said he would likely remain there for his safety.

Lots of old military aircraft – including the SR71 – Blackbird.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR-71_Blackbird
Amazing plane built in the 1960’s – Still the fastest ever at Mach 3+
It could outrun missles as its defense. None was ever lost to the enemy.
It grew about 7 inches in width when heated up in flight so all the joints were made loose and it leaked.
It took off empty and had to be flown to warm up to stretch to fit then comletely fueled in the air for a mission.
Picture of the Buick car engines, two at 500+ hp each were needed to start the plane engines.
Built in the 1950’s they are still in service and planned to be kept until 2045. Yes, 90 years.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-52_Stratofortress
It’s kind of difficult to balance the advanced technology with the waste involved in these planes.
The B52 was so heavy at takeoff with bombs that it only had a partial tank of fuel at takeoff.
It also would then be refuled in air by the tanker in the photo to fill it up for the long flight.
So a tanker plane burning who knows how much fuel is needed to refuel these two for a flight.
Some of the actual pilots are on hand as docents for Q&A. Interesting museum.

–Milo Kearney and Manuel Medrano, Medieval Culture and the Mexican American Borderlands

SPORTSMAN’S ACT AMENDMENT to be Introduced in U.S. Senate–
As previously reported, H.R. 4089–the “Sportsmen’s Heritage Act of 2012”–passed the U.S. House of Representatives in April by a bipartisan vote of 274 to 146. The bill will protect and enhance opportunities for recreational hunting, fishing and shooting.
H.R. 4089 was a compilation of four different bills: H.R. 1558, which amends the “Toxic Substances Control Act”; H.R. 3440, the “Recreational Shooting Protection Act”; H.R. 2834, the “Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage and Opportunities Act”; and H.R. 991, the “Polar Bear Conservation and Fairness Act of 2011.”
We are pleased to announce that Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and John Thune (R-S.D.) will be introducing similar legislation in the U.S. Senate next week as an amendment to the Senate farm bill. The Tester-Thune amendment (Amendment 2232) will contain most of the provisions from H.R. 4089, including:
The “Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act”: This section amends the Pittman-Robertson Act by adjusting the funding limitations. This allows states more funds, and for a longer period of time, for the creation and maintenance of shooting ranges. The bill encourages federal land agencies to cooperate with state and local authorities to maintain shooting ranges and limits liability for these agencies.
The “Polar Bear Conservation and Fairness Act”: This bill allows for the importation of polar bears legally taken from approved populations in Canada before the 2008 ban.
The Hunting, Fishing and Recreational Shooting Protection Act: This section specifically excludes ammunition and fishing tackle from the “Toxic Substances Control Act,” leaving decisions to state fish and game agencies and the Fish and Wildlife Service, rather than the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA has denied petitions to regulate tackle and ammo under TSCA in 1994 and again in 2011. This codifies that the EPA does not have the ability to regulate either type of item, but does not override local, state and other federal regulations.
The amendment will also include:
The “Recreational Lands Self Defense Act”: This section would prohibit the Secretary of the Army from enforcing any regulation that keeps an individual from possessing firearms in Army Corps of Engineer Water Resource Development projects or facilities. This language would not change the current legal prohibition of guns and dangerous weapons in federal facilities, such as the Corps Headquarters, Engineering Research Facilities, and lock and dam buildings.
The Army Corps owns 7.6 million acres and manages another 4.1 million acres, making it the largest federal provider of water-based outdoor recreation in the nation. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property includes 400 lakes and river projects, 90,000 campsites and 4,000 miles of trails.
In advance of next week’s introduction, please be sure to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to cosponsor and support the Tester-Thune amendment (Amendment 2232).
You can find contact information for your U.S. Senators by using the “Write Your Representatives” tool at www.NRAILA.org. You may also contact your Senators by phone at (202) 224-3121.

FROM THE HOLY BOOK–
In ancient Israel, it came to pass that a trader by the name of Abraham Com did take unto himself a young wife by the name of Dot. And Dot Com was a comely woman, broad of shoulder and long of leg. Indeed, she was often called Amazon Dot Com. And she said unto Abraham, her husband, “Why dost thou travel so far from town to town with thy goods when thou can trade without ever leaving thy tent?”
And Abraham did look at her as though she were several saddle bags short of a camel load, but simply said, “How, dear?”
And Dot replied, “I will place drums in all the towns and drums in between to send messages saying what you have for sale, and they will reply telling you who hath the best price. And the sale can be made on the drums and delivery made by Uriah’s Pony Stable (UPS).”
Abraham thought long and decided he would let Dot have her way with the drums. And the drums rang out and were an immediate success.
Abraham sold all the goods he had at the top price, without ever having to move from his tent. To prevent neighboring countries from overhearing what the drums were saying, Dot devised a system that only she and the drummers knew. It was known as Must Send Drum Over Sound (MSDOS), and she also developed a language to transmit ideas and pictures – Hebrew To The People (HTTP).
And the young men did take to Dot Com’s trading as doth the greedy horsefly take to camel dung. They were called Nomadic Ecclesiastical Rich Dominican Sybarites, or NERDS.
And lo, the land was so feverish with joy at the new riches and the deafening sound of drums that no one noticed that the real riches were going to that enterprising drum dealer, Brother William of Gates, who bought off every drum maker in the land. And indeed did insist on drums to be made that would work only with Brother Gates’ drumheads and drumsticks.
And Dot did say, “Oh, Abraham, what we have started is being taken over by others.” And Abraham looked out over the Bay of Ezekiel , or eBay as it came to be known. He said, “We need a name that reflects what we are.” And Dot replied, “Young Ambitious Hebrew Owner Operators.”
“YAHOO,” said Abraham. And because it was Dot’s idea, they named it YAHOO Dot Com. Abraham’s cousin, Joshua, being the young Gregarious Energetic Educated Kid (GEEK) that he was, soon started using Dot’s drums to locate things around the countryside.
It soon became known as God’s Own Official Guide to Locating Everything (GOOGLE). That is how it all began. And that’s the truth.
RAIN OR SHINE doing the Biker blues
Custom Bike Show run by Twin Club MC Norrtelje– is an institution for Scandinavian chopper builders after a running of more than 40 years.
But what made the Wrecking crew pay notice was the weather outlook for the first weekend of June. Five degrees Celsius, 15 m/s wind and some good old rain. This will be the Armageddon of all chopper shows; the people who show will go into the history books. And for once the metereologic people hit bull’s-eye, it looked like we were in eye of the storm, only yellow color seen 2nd of June was our own magic bus!
Checking in 7AM at Twin clubs HQ, they told us that 700+ people spend the night on the campgrounds by the clubhouse. Some 90 percent of the bikers were from countries like Finland, Norway, Italy, Germany, France, and even Ireland.
The prez Sampan welcomed us with a smile; yeah really, it was going to be so bad so why not smile? Twins machinery was on a roll, hundreds of volunteers working throughout the beautiful seaside town of Norrtälje. We made our way from the clubhouse down to Socitetsparken where the action should take place. Registration took place at a spot by the harbor, after paying 200 Swedish crowns (entrance for show and party in the evening) a man in a black hat stopped us. Marlon Larson soon to be the 60, and member for all the years the club has existed. He had a second to decide what class you compete in. Then roll by the river before running into the park. Where there once was a large crowd numbering the thousands, it was now just wide-open green fields.
But surprise, surprise, one-by-one the bikes kept a rollin´ by. Custom machines not collecting dust just breathing fresh air. Dirt and mud on expensive bikes mmm that is hardcore. That’s why outdoor shows really demonstrate who is the REAL BIKER/BUILDER. I notice that hardly anyone complained. We hit a FLOW quit fast. Once wet what the hell let it rain.
Especially my old Finish friends just laugh about it, that’s why they have the word SISU for inner strength. One Norwegian guy on a trike tell me he even been driving through snow early Saturday morning. Wide tires and white stuff get your eyes wide open for sure. Good for him he later in the afternoon got a trophy in the trike class. Stockholm the capital have many builders, they live just 70 km from Norrtälje. And I think I saw more people from abroad than locals…nuff said.
The show is also part of the AMD circus, yours truly in the jury. We had to decide who would be the last to go to Sturgis. 2013 Essen will be the hub for the show, the US-experiment kinda expensive. Quite soon we had three bikes on the radar, two for Essen and Mr Wärefors from Strängnäs took the US-ticket. Cafe-racer-look with a Panhead all covered in military green and the sign of his old regiment on the gas tank, a winning menu. I could not see if it was tears or rain over is face but he looked happy for sure!
So what is the dress code for an event like this? I started with military boots and raingear, ended with rubber boots and one more rain suit. Wet even though… like the rest of my sister brothers. We now have a memory for life to share. Next year we will be like the old trappers/hunters in the 18th century who met at a Rendezvous after the season was over. Everybody with a good story to tell about what went down in the year of 2012. You are all heroes, hope you are back safe in your home countries, or just call the Magic bus; we give you shelter and maybe even some wrecking beer….

AMAZING—What a year, and we’re on the verge of being half way through it. I’m going to finish another book this year. I’m helping my son build a Mudflap Girl FXR, which is running. Then I’m helping my grandson build his first motorcycle, the 650 XS. I’m still dialing in my own Mudflap girl, and building the Bonne Belle. I’m helping Ray rebuild his Dyna, then a super-fast 5-Ball Raycer for Bonneville this year.
Okay, so we are scrambling, but now we are going to refurbish the front of our building, and maybe, just maybe, my son, Frank Ball, will move into that 1,600 square-foot area, live and set up a small tattoo area, maybe with a vintage motorcycle theme. Somehow I want to paint a magnificent motorcycle mural on the south side of the building, after we fix the 50-year old stucco. The City rejected my claim after they rattled my building for a year. I spoke to an attorney rider, Scott Well, and if I want to throw needless funds at the effort, I could perhaps make it happen. What bullshit. I’m not asking for a million bucks. I just want to clean up my building, which will benefit this harbor ghetto. WTF. I’m not giving up. I’ll go after the bastards again.
Anyway, never a dull moment. We have a Bikernet Code. We never give up, and never stop, until the project is completed. You’ll see the progress reports right here in the Cantina.
Ride Forever,
