Harley-Davidson offers fans double the X Games racing action this Thursday, July 13, with a Facebook Live stream of Harley Hooligan flat track racing at 7:30 p.m. EDT via Facebook.com/Harley-Davidson, followed by Harley-Davidson Flat Track Racing at 9 p.m. EDT broadcast live on ESPN.
“Showcasing the always-exciting amateur Hooligan racing via Facebook Live will take our partnership with ESPN X Games to a whole new level, while providing double the racing action for fans,” said Eric Jensen, Global Brand Lead at Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Both the pro and amateur racing will take place on a specially designed ESPN X Games 3/8-mile dirt track created at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.
“When Harley-Davidson approached us to create a Hooligan race broadcast on Facebook Live, we really liked the idea to further engage audiences with X Games around the globe,” said X Games Vice President Tim Reed. “This is a win-win opportunity for all of those racing fans who won’t be able to make it to Minneapolis to see the action in person this Thursday.”
Harley-Davidson Flat Track Racing is an ESPN X Games medal event open by invitation to 25 of the world’s fastest professional flat track racers. The field includes Harley-Davidson® Factory Flat Track Racing Team riders Kenny Coolbeth, Jr., Jake Johnson and Brandon Robinson, each racing on the Harley-Davidson XG750R flat tracker, a competition motorcycle powered by a race-modified, liquid-cooled Revolution X™ V-Twin engine originally engineered for the Harley-Davidson Street® 750.
The rough-and-tumble Harley Hooligan race action will feature 40 amateur riders from across the country competing on race-modified Harley-Davidson street motorcycles. Participating race teams include Rusty Butcher, Leticia Cline, Suicide Machine Company, Speed Merchant, Noise Cycles and more. Each team is affiliated with a Harley-Davidson dealership.
Tickets to attend the live racing action at Mall of America are $10. For ticket information go to X Games Information. Follow along on all of action at #RIDEEVERYDAY.
