ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT TO WIN THE BRASS BALLS BOBBER CUSTOM MOTORBIKE–The end of the month is the final day to win the Bikernet/Brass Balls Bobbers/IronWorks giveaway bike. This is one special sled. We designed it and got our buddies from D&D Performance Exhaust, Baker Drivetrain, Rich Phillips, Gatorz, Crime Scene, Crazy Horse, Tauer and HHI all to come in and have fun in putting this build together.

So not only does it look good, it really performs. It so fast and agile it is hard to remove the grin that gets plastered on your face when you snick it into gear.

OXYTANE COMES TO BIKERNET–What I?ll say is this: Whatever was in this bottle actually worked and me being leery of this whole experiment, I could really feel a difference in the way my bike performed. Acceleration from a stop and more important, roll-on performance was notably improved.

What can I say? This stuff worked!! I?ll be sure to use it again when I can get my hands on it again.

Interested? Go to www. Oxytane.com and learn more about Oxytane and how you to can feel the difference in your ride. If you would like to read an article on this product Thunder Press did one in their October 2008-Motorhead Memo by Kip Woodring.

Cheza race shot

11 DAYS UNTIL PINK PARTZ GETS DIRTY IN CINCINNATI–Professional AMA Grand National Flat Track Racer Nichole Cheza Scheduled to meet attendees of 9th Annual V-Twin Expo February 7th from 11A to 1P.

Minneapolis, MN? Only eleven days until female AMA Grand National racer Nichole Cheza will be on hand to meet with attendees of the 9th Annual V-Twin Expo this February 7th from 11A to 1P at the Duke Energy Center downtown Cincinnati. Nichole will be at the Pink Partz booth (#759) on the main show floor.

Michigan based racer, Cheza has been riding since she was just three years old and racing since she was a just four years old. After receiving the Female Athlete of the Year award in 2003, Nichole Cheza turned pro. As a female rider and racer, Cheza embodies what Pink Partz? are all about? ride inspired apparel and accessories. Cheza recently offered to help Pink Partz spread the word about the freshly launched line. Pink Partz feature well-designed, unique products that feel right in a world of horsepower and torque.

Pink Partz slogan states: ?Don?t be afraid to get your Pink Partz dirty?, clearly Cheza takes that statement to a whole new level out on the track.

?Pink Partz gets it. They know what the ride means. The few products made available to women so far, don?t stand out, they don?t ?mean? anything. Pink Partz means something. I get a kick out of wearing something that makes a statement. My female friends love this line, especially the ones that don?t ride. They think it?s a gas? explained racer Cheza.

At the Expo dealers can expect to also see new spring products from Pink Partz. Pink Partz offers a fresh new approach by providing distinctive and exclusive ride inspired designs.

Pink Partz products are in stock now and available to ship at J&P Cycles online or in store at their Anamosa and Daytona Beach locations. Check the full line out at: www.pinkpartz.com .

KIWIMIKE

CALIFORNIA EPA ISSUES FROM NEW CITIZEN KIWI MIKE–I think Calif has even a bigger issue brewing in which the big plan is in the name of clean air is to do away with alleged polluting motorcycles. I think there will be a day when many motorcycles will not be able to be operated on our Calif roads especially since a recent law was passed to phase out big rig diesels older than 2007 (going off memory) from our road starting in 2012.

My truck is paid for and only gets operated on California roads to go out of state to shows back east.

I think my classic Indians just might be outlawed one day and considered gross polluters. It could be that the insurance companies won’t insure them, that could be a different angle too.I think we’re all going to get screwed mate.

On another note I’ll be sworn in as a US citizen this Thursday. I had to go into LA immigration office early Jan which I got there at 7.15 a.m. and talk about a bunch of city assholes not allowing motorcycles to park in the paid city parking structures. I got turned away from three of them and had to park way down the road in a lot that was approved for m/cs. I thought I was saving the country gas by riding my old ’53 Chief and saving space on the freeway only to be discriminated against in LA.

Our gov at work for we the people.

THE BIKERNET BOOKS AND NEW MAGAZINES DEPARTMENT–SOUL RYDAH -The first African-American Bike Magazine to hit the street since Soul Brothers years ago, rocks the industry. This is one extremely well done, slick magazine. This is the fourth issue and the art direction and photography are top notch. Clinton Library Motorcycle Catalog is a cool piece I received from Kimmy Cruz. This book was created around and for the Tom Zimberoff exhibit at the Clinton Library. It highlights the builders and artist featured in the exhibit including Scott Long, Pat Kennedy (with Bandit’s motorcycle), Harold Pontarelli (where is that guy?), Cyril Huze, Alan Lee, a bunch of Hamsters and more.

SPEAKING OF THE ECONOMY–S&S Cycle would like to address recent rumors stemming from the auctioning of several pieces of manufacturing equipment. In a down economy rumors fly, so here are the facts: Like other companies in the manufacturing industry, S&S has conducted layoffs, and is selling excess equipment. ?These are appropriate measures that we took in response to the slowing economy? says CEO George Smith. Smith went on to say ?people may not be aware of this, but while we are clearing out some of our machinery, we are also investing in new machines, and increasing our efficiency and overall capability.?

Although slowing sales are a factor, some of the machines being sold have already been replaced in production by a new manufacturing cell that was made fully operational just last summer. This system allows for the consolidation of machining centers and results in greater efficiency.

A redesign of the plant layout is also being implemented to increase the flexibility and scope of S&S?s manufacturing capacity.S&S is about to launch an aggressive and dynamic marketing program which will start with a dual presence at the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio. S&S will be showing performance enhancement products under the S&S name as well as vintage engines and parts under their recently acquired Flathead Power brand.

The following week at the Dealer Expo 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana, S&S will debut a new line of off-road performance products and parts for metric cruisers.

Director of Business Development and Sales, Michael Scaletta summed it up. ?We are introducing great new products and are even expanding into new markets. S&S has been here for over 50 years, and we are in it for the long haul.?

BIKERNET METRIC COVERS EASYRIDERS SACRAMENTO SHOW–A couple of weeks ago, I attended the Easy Riders, V-Twin Bike Show in Sacramento. I went for the Metric bikes but I shot everything I saw that was cool. Come over to Bikernetmetric.com to check out the coverage.

Also, if you are heading out to Cincinnati for the V-Twin Expo in a week, make sure you come by the W8less Rotors booth to see their latest products and have a book signed by Bandit himself!

Also, get your photos taken with the AFT Girls, the models that worked on ER HED, the World Champion Yamaha board tracker from AFT Customs. The girls will be signing posters and generally being friendly as always. It should be a cool show and will set the stage for the V-Twin market in ?09. I will have tons of new stuff on the Metric site when I come back. Stay tuned and ride right!
