The home of the American Bikers and we’re going, so this news will be short and sweet. Next week the Assalt Weapan will be torn down and shipped to a powder coater. Bang! We’re rockin’. We’re packing the Salt Shaker to be interviewed by Charlie Brechtel on stage in Hollister. How do you interview a motorcycle? Got me?
We’re also hauling Gard Hollinger’s Discovery Build-off racer to Hollister for the Baker Transmission booth. We’ll bring some bedrolls, T-shirts and stickers. Stop by, if you have a chance. We’ll be in the Bakers Square area. Looking forward to seeing old friends and maybe actually riding some.

LA CHOPRODS DISTRIBUTES ISR CONTROLS–Gard Hollinger, of LA Chop Rods, In Los Angeles distributes the new breed of ISR race bred brakes and controls from Sweden historic weapons factory. A new era in quality race-oriented, fully lever- adjustable handlebar billet aluminum controls. They’re light, designed for endurance racing, built for quick-change mounting and available in left or right bar applications. We are running them on our Bonneville Assalt Weapan and last year on the Salt Shaker.
They are designed in three styles: Radial smooth for 1-inch bars, Chopper Style for 1-inch bars and Radial Racing for 7/8-inch bars. They’re available in 5/8 or 11/16-inch hydraulic piston sizes. The Radial style with its all-smooth pleasing look comes with a Hydraulic clutch perch. The Chopper style has hydraulic or cable clutch levers and two piston sizes for dual or single front discs. The Radial Racing style for 7/8-inch has an internal reservoir or external and hydraulic clutch perch only.
All controls come brush aluminum with clear anodized finish. All fasteners are supplied and controls are ready with 10 by 125 banjo fitting threads. Also a variety of matching brake calipers, switch housings and rotors are available.

THE BUILDERS ROCK HOLLISTER–The excitement for the 60th anniversary of the 1947 Hollister motorcycle happening has spread deep into the motorcycle industry. Horse Power Promotions and the Hollister Motorcycle Rally Committee have the largest group of pro builder to ever make their way to Hollister.
With the help of Baker Drive Train we have secured the Baker Builders Square to allow these dozen plus builders to show case their award winning creations. The list of these builders reads like who’s who of the motorcycle industry. All are regularly featured in magazines and most have had their time in front of the camera on the Speed Channel and Discovery Channel. NEW SEAT FROM THE AUSTRALIAN MASTER–Here’s the pictures of the seat Glenn made for the SPS build. I am stoked. I went to the Devil’s shop this morning and had the tranny sprocket put on. Once I installed the tranny on the bike and used the BDL for the motor/tranny line-up, my rear wheel no longer lines up. I swear I could ruin a wet dream sometimes.
I think I’m going to load everything in the new HHR and haul it all over to Kent’s shop tomorrow and beg him to show me where I am screwing up, because at this point, I am at wit’s end. I am sure I am overlooking something, I just don’t know what. I’ll let you know.

45-degree V-Twin motors are known for their deep rumbling sound. This sound manifests itself as vibration, like a giant tuning fork sending vibrations throughout the bike, loosening fasteners and making the bike uncomfortable to ride. A loose top mount can wreak havoc on your motorcycle causing damage to the frame, primary drive and a host of other components. Our Top Motor Mount Kit utilizes an exclusive “keyed design” to take the top bolt out of a shear situation, this results in stopping the rotational movement of the mount and minimizes vibration for a smoother, safer ride.
The Matt Hotch Top Motor Mount comes in kit form allowing you the ability adapt it to any combination of motors or frames. The mount can be positioned horizontally or vertically. HARLEY-DAVIDSON ANNOUNCES NEW WOMEN’S ACTIVITIES FOR STURGIS 2007–During the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this August 4-11, Harley-Davidson will feature new activities and events geared towards women at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The Women’s Booth inside the Civic Center will feature a new display showing the history and connection between Harley-Davidson and women riders through the years. Women (riders and non-riders) who stop by throughout the week and fill out a short survey will receive a free gift, and they can also try their hand at the Women Rider’s Trivia Contest.
Thursday, Aug. 9, is the inaugural H-D Sturgis Women’s Day featuring an entire day of events for women riders and non-riders such as a demonstration on how to lift a dropped bike and how to customize a motorcycle to fit a rider’s ergonomic needs. From 8-9 a.m., women-only demo rides will be available with complimentary coffee and morning snacks. Special seminars will be held indoors at the women’s booth that day, including a special functional MotorClothes preview with Karen Davidson, great granddaughter of founder William A. Davidson, at noon. Renowned female moto-journalist Genevieve Schmitt is also slated to be at the booth at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

BOUNTY HUNTER POKER RUNIMAGINE THIS–You and your loved one are on your motorcycle leaving a Veterans Benefit, some drunk comes along and changes your life forever! Now he is on the run sipping Margarita’s in another country! We need to raise $$$ so a Bounty Hunter can make sure he sips out of a tin cup behind bars!!!Brian Willis and his fiancé Beverly Bender (Veterans) were on their way home from the Veterans Benefit on November 11, 2001 when they were hit from behind and ran over multiple times. Unfortunately Brian passed away at the age of 48 from his injures after suffering for 5 weeks. Beverly lost one leg, partial of her foot on the other and her right arm severely injured, she will spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair without the man she loves.
The person who destroyed their lives forever is on the run. We are all getting together to raise money for a bounty hunter to go get this individual and bring him to justice.

ERIK BUELL AND THE THUNDERBOLTS TO ROCK BUELL HOMECOMING–Erik Buell and the Thunderbolts are kicking off Buell Homecoming (July 6-8) with a live performance on Thursday, July 5, at the Boiler Room – 5200 Washington Ave (Hwy 20) in Racine, Wis. The band is scheduled to begin rockin’ at 10 p.m.
The Thunderbolts started in 2001 when Erik Buell, chairman and chief technical officer of Buell Motorcycle Company, searched for Buell employees to play a gig with him – the Buell Riders Adventure Group (B.R.A.G.) Homecoming dinner! Now, the band plays at Harley-Davidson/Buell dealerships across the country, as well as local bars and clubs. The members of the band have changed over the years, but the music is still bluesrock consisting of covers and originals. Thunderbolts current line up is:
