BIKERNET UNDERCOVER INTERVIEW ON JOHN REEDS LATEST CUSTOM CHROME PROJECT BIKE–I reassessed the projects I put on hold when I had myaccident.

1. I have stopped working on my missile luge .I have a potential problem with the brakes. I was going to stop it by dragging my feet on the ground like they do on a street luge, but if it takes off a bit I might not be able to reach the ground because I only got short legs.

I mocked up a 110 cu inch Rev tech engine luge, I was working on and that one seems pretty safe, but I have learned my lesson doing stupid things without talking to the experts, so I contact the therapist who is working on my bad hand and ask him if he could advise me on the riding position, So I can have it more rider friendly with the best ergonomic position for good long term posture etc..

If you can let me know if you see anything I might not thought about it would be appreciated. I hope all is OK with you,

–john reed.

PS.I have almost finished the bike I did for Genny, based on the V-Kit bike but I used an 88cu inch Revtech instead of the 110, and narrow Ceriani forks instead of the Paoli. It’s a bit lower and lighter, It has a single headlight, and looks a bit flat track, super moto. It rides really good, I am really happy with it.

IT’S A WRAP–Now it?s down to the fastener house for some special washers. I want to thank Kent Weeks, the Devil, from Lucky Devil Metal Works, for his constant support throughout this project. I was sliding off the seat he had made and hand tooled in Texas. I switched seats but he was bummed and came up with a solution. My seat springs were too short for my fat ass. I went with 5-inch seat springs and I hold fast. He’s sharp and always has a solution.

Roger and Nui from Hawaii assisted tremendously prior to the LA Calendar Show. They fixed my leaky intake manifold and we changed the Mikuni pilot jet to a larger unit. That made her run .

Then two days ago we were attacked by African killer bees. Check this shit out. They swarmed our concrete patio and moved into a patio umbrella. We attacked and they retreated underneath a wooden patio table, but didn’t leave. Layla researched Bee migration and they scout several places then move on, usually in 24 hours, before finding an appropriate home. Unfortunately it’s been 48 hours and they’re not packing their shit. We called a professional hit man.

It’s never a dull moment around the headquarters.

Ride Forever,

–Bandit
