Q&A WITH THE POPE OF PIPE —G?day from Australia, just a short question… My 95in. Roadking is makes 95 HP & 100ft lbs torque with the Fat Cat 2 into 1, Andrews 67g cam, Screaming eagle heads , and a 45 Mikuni carb. If I put quiet baffle in for the Fat Cat, will I lose much HP and torque. Thanks,
– Shane Potter
Hello Shane, The wrapped “quiet baffle” will perform the same. We spend time in the dyno extracting as much HP out of our systems as possible. You don’t have to retune the bike as long as your use the same type baffle. Check out the latest exhaust solutions at D&D Performance Enterprises.

ANOTHER CRAZED THURSDAY ENDS–Sometimes this is like a high-temp grueling martial arts class that won’t end. Plus, there’s always something more to add or another image to code.
I can feel the summer raging ahead, as more bike features show up, more events, more girls, more shows, you name it. The cool bobbed Triumph above belongs to one of the ChopperTown/Brittown producers, Scott. Zack and Scott’s new DVD, “Harbortown,” will be released shortly, and of course Bikernet will review it. We just watched the Fryed Brother “I ride.” We also watched Michael Madsen in “Hell Ride.” That’s an acid trip. I’ll bring you more on both shows in the near future.
There’s my 100-inch CrazyHorse engine in the background waiting for my powder coating to return. I just discovered a piece, my handmade top motormount. It didn’t make the shipment to Worco Powder. I need to make a trip to see Tony Pisano tomorrow.
Hopefully next week, the Chance book will edge toward the printer. I’ll be able to put together a major Factory Racer tech installation article and get ready for the paint to arrive. Then we’ll see how well I prepped for the final assembly. Hang on.
In the meantime the Father’s Day party is scheduled for Century Motors in San Pedro. We will gather with Vincent owners from all over the Southland. I’m working on a feature for Back Street Chopper in England on a couple of historic Vincents–then of course it will be featured on Bikernet. Plus, I’ve got to write a feature for Cycle Source on Jeremiah’s 5-Ball Racing Bobber. I made him promise to buy me dinner tomorrow night.
Ride Forever,
