Hey,
I try to avoid national politics. Sure, I fight for Freedom and I’m against Gun Laws. We may face similar attacks against motorcycles in the near future. The BBC News program likes to tout their fair and balanced news approach to the elections, and then she says, “You decide.”
It’s tough. It’s scary, and the world is rife with turmoil. A good friend, Bob Bitchin, now runs his second sailing magazine, Cruising Outpost. It’s too bad most general media outlets don’t follow the motorcycle press, sailing press mantra. We’re all about innovation, fun and competition. First, we relish the freedom to do what we love, build and ride wild motorcycles, and then we think about the bullshit in life.
And I would also like to commend the freedom fighters in our society from MC Rights to the NRA. They also deserve recognition on Memorial Day. Even today, they are keeping us Free. Think about it. The media makes smart remarks about the NRA and motorcycle groups.
If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t ride free or be able to protect our families. I don’t understand why we let control freaks fuck with our freedoms. It’s all we have.
Let’s hit the news
Motorcycle Club Gives Allegedly Bullied Girl a Ride to School– A little girl who was allegedly being bullied at school got some help from her local biker club.
Audrianna, 7, was having a hard time at school, according to her mom. “It could be part of it that she is a tomboy, but who knows,” Alexandria Reynolds told ABC Toledo affiliate WTVG.
Whatever the reason, Reynolds found a unique way to give her daughter a boost. The first-grader at Marshall Elementary in Toledo loves to ride her dirt bike, and she proudly rides up and down her block.
So, Reynolds decided to enlist the help of The Punishers — a motorcycle club comprised of law enforcement, EMS and military personnel, and firefighters. The club surprised little Audrianna with a ride to school — on a real motorcycle.
“We got her a vest and told her to think of us like her uncles, and she is part of our family now, and if she needs anything let us know,” the group’s president, Daniel Bushey, told WTVG. “Any chance we get, we help kids out, we do in a heartbeat.”
As for Audrianna, her mom hopes that she will be just fine.
“We were just trying to uplift her spirits and let her know that not everybody is mean and there are plenty of nice people in the world,” an emotional Reynolds said. “The guys have really done a wonderful job at helping us.”
According to stopbullying.gov, an informational website run by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, “if bullying is occurring at school, learn about what your state requires schools to do in your state’s anti-bullying law. Learn also about federal laws that require schools to address harassment based on race, color, national origin, sex and disabilities….”

TRUMP TO SPEND MEMORIAL DAY WITH BIKERS AT ROLLING THUNDER–

Move over, Scott Walker, there’s a new biker in town. Donald Trump will be celebrating Memorial Day weekend at the largest single-day motorcycle gathering — Rolling Thunder — in Washington, D.C. “I am doing it in honor of the great bikers who have been totally supportive of my campaign and now I want to be supportive of them,” Trump said in a statement, according to Bloomberg Politics. “I look forward to it!”
When Trump was campaigning in Wisconsin in March ahead of the state’s April primary, he took on the state’s governor (who is popular with Republicans there and was supporting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz) by teasing Walker about his love for motorcycles.
Walker was the only presidential candidate last summer to ride a motorcycle during Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst’s Roast and Ride — other candidates participated in the event but did not ride. Walker ended his presidential bid in September.
Trump expressed his confidence during the Wisconsin campaign that motorcyclists were fans of his, even if, unlike Walker, he wasn’t an enthusiast himself.
“The bikers love Trump,” the real estate mogul said in March, according to The Los Angeles Times. “I’m not a huge biker, I have to be honest with you, OK? I always liked the limo better.”
The “Ride for Freedom” will take place Sunday. The ride’s mission is to bring attention to American Prisoners of War and soldiers who are Missing in Action.

RUSSIAN BIKERS RIDE FOR THEIR FIGHT AGAINST NAZI GERMANY— ALEXANDER ZALDOSTANOV led the Night Wolves in the commemorative run. Zaldostanov says he is not a Kremlin hang on, but his goals and visions are aligned with the boss. He’s a member of the secretariat of the Union of Writers of the Russian Federation, a goup of professional writers.
The pro-Putin bikers recently announced building a patriotic youth center in Crimea, complete with soviet war games for the kids. He sent a letter to have the Hells Angels and Bandidos investigated.
The prosecutor’s office says it hasn’t chosen to close down the Hells Angeles and Bandidos, yet. Interesting.

AUSTRALIAN CLUB NEWS– Biker arrests following Tasmanian raids
Federal and state police in the Australian island state of Tasmania have arrested four men during a series of raids claiming it was an attempt to prevent the Bandidos motorcycle club setting up a permanent presence on the island.
Law enforcement agencies say they fear a clash with the present clubs if more try and establish themselves in Tasmania.
Tasmania Police, in conjunction with the Australian Federal Police’s National Anti-Gangs Squad (NAGS), raided 19 properties in the state’s North-West, North and South.
The operation started at Devonport on Monday and spread to Launceston before reaching Hobart’s northern suburbs by Friday.
Police detained three alleged Bandidos motorcycle club members at Devonport Airport during the operation, which was part of the NAGS “national week of action”.
One Bandido was allegedly found with ice and cocaine. Another was charged in relation to a stolen motorcycle. It is unclear if that bike had been stolen from a rival club member.
More than 70 officers raided 19 homes, businesses and clubhouses where they found illegal firearms and Tasers, explosives, more than 400 rounds of ammunition, ice worth $36,000, cannabis worth more than $70,000 and cash.
Police said the majority of drugs and firearms seizures had come from the North-West of the state but also some in the South.
Police expect to take action against 12 more people.
Police did not identify which of the clubs the people charged were from.
Tasmania Police assistant commissioner Glenn Frame says the Rebels are the most significant club in Tasmania with a combined membership of more than 100 across the state.
The Outlaws, Satan’s Rider and Devils Henchmen, coupled with some Finks and Black Uhlans, have all had a long term presence.
Until recently police estimated the total number of Tasmanian bikers numbered around 300 with 50 associates, although police said these figures have now declined.
“They’ve all got, most of them, very small footprints in Tasmania and we think the Bandidos are also trying to establish,” he told reporters.
There are fears the island could be too small for more clubs and recruitment could spark rivalry.
“That’s certainly something that could arise and we’re well aware of it and we’re taking action … to try and deter any illegal activity between the gangs,” Mr Frame said.
The club’s southern migration across Bass Strait is part of the Bandidos “business model”, AFP superintendent Anthony Hall said.
“Outlaw motorcycle gangs are expanding their business model, using their techniques, to exploit any crevice within Australian society, to exploit the honest citizens of the country and use their violence and criminality to exploit the community,” he added.
As part of the operation, notices were served on two southern Tasmanian men who allegedly owe the Australian Taxation Office more than $270,000.

OFFICIAL BIKERNET GUN NUT REPORT– Fiscal Year 2017 Appropriations Process Yields Wins for the Second Amendment
On Tuesday, the House Appropriations Committee approved the fiscal year 2017 Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) Appropriations bill. The bill funds the Departments of Commerce and Justice, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and other related agencies. Included in the committee-approved draft were a number of important riders that would protect Second Amendment rights by defunding overreaching or restrictive programs that serve mainly to burden lawful possession of or commerce in firearms.
The House bill would make most of these beneficial provisions permanent, meaning they would not have to be reauthorized from year-to-year.
Among the most important of these provisions is one that would prohibit the executive branch from unilaterally implementing the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). America is unique in its respect for the individual right to keep and bear arms.
The country’s gun owners have nothing to gain, and much to lose, were the U.S. to embrace international “norms” concerning access to and control of firearms. Meanwhile, in terms of preventing diversion of arms, the ATT is essentially irrelevant. The stable democracies that produce arms in large numbers already have well-established and enforced controls on imports and exports, while opportunistic and rogue nations willing to profit from the illicit arms trade have no intention of complying with the treaty.
Another vital provision would put a stop to the Obama administration’s sweeping executive dictate that licensed dealers in Border States report certain multiple rifle sales to the government. This system of registering gun sales is not prescribed by statute, requires dealers to create an entirely new system of record-keeping, and is easily defeated by illicit purchasers, who can simply purchase multiple guns from different dealers.
Meanwhile, it violates the spirit of congressional limits on registration and treats the purchase of perfectly legal firearms by qualified buyers as an inherently suspicious activity.
The bill would also make permanent a provision that for several years has prohibited ATF from enforcing a ban on the import of popular shotguns that are already commonly available in the U.S. Using the infinitely variable and patently unconstitutional “sporting purposes” test, ATF proposed in 2011 to ban the import of shotguns that had any of various supposedly “non-sporting” features. These included such things as folding or telescoping stocks, forward grips, integrated rail systems, “excessive weight” or “bulk,” and “light-enhancing devices.”
Putting aside the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court has made clear that defense, not sports, is the core concern of the Second Amendment, ATF used an unreasonably narrow definition of “sports” to come up with its restrictive standards. Popular activities that would use the banned features, including three-gun matches, were dismissed as training or pastimes, rather than sports. Congress wisely stepped in and defunded implementation of the standards, and the bill would make that determination final.
Other provisions would defund dangerous “gun-walking” programs like Fast & Furious that arm drug traffickers for “investigative” purposes; promote the importation of collectible “curio and relic” firearms; and restrain the Obama administration from expanding their gun control footprint any further.
Meanwhile, a bipartisan vote defeated an unfavorable amendment that would have granted the government broad authority to deny firearm purchases on supposed concerns over “terrorism,” but without adequate transparency, due process, or judicial oversight.
The NRA thanks Rep. John Culberson (R-TX), chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on CJS and Related Agencies, for his strong leadership in seeing these pro-gun provisions to the floor.
Spending bills in both chambers of Congress will now move to their respective floors for consideration. While no firm dates have yet been set, further action is expected in June. The NRA strongly urges Congress to adopt the House’s permanent versions of these riders, rather than the annual versions that were included in the Senate bill. The Second Amendment deserves ongoing support on Capitol Hill, not patchwork protection.
ROBB TALBOTT’S OPENS LARGEST MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM ON WEST COAST— Is this a competition? Robb’s museum is built inside a two-story, barn-like building in the center of the village of Carmel Valley. It is scheduled to include 140 motorcycles of all varieties and vintages.
I know of a MC museum south of the bay area housing more motorcycles than that, and they are all American made.
This guy made a fortune with his father’s Talbott Vineyards making wine, natch. But his collection is based on all makes from the ‘50s to the ‘70s. I’m not bowled over by this announcement, but we will have our supreme vintage motorcycle investigator check into it.

TRUMP CLINCHED THE GOP Nomination– The Associated Press reported on Thursday that Donald J. Trump has exceeded the 1,237 delegates necessary to win the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States on the first ballot at the party’s convention next month.
Mr. Trump had 1,229 delegates after winning the state of Washington on Tuesday, but since then has received commitments from enough unbound delegates to put him over the top. Trump is expected to expand his now insurmountable lead next month, when the last five states to vote—South Dakota, New Mexico, New Jersey, Montana, and California—hold their primaries.
Fox News reports, “Trump’s achievement marks the completion of a primary campaign that has upended the political landscape and defied multiple predictions of failure from political commentators. It now sets the stage for a bitter fall campaign against likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.” The NRA endorsed Mr. Trump last week.
Meanwhile, though Clinton is still favored to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, the Washington Post reports that Hillary Clinton’s email problems just got worse, following the release of a State Department Inspector General’s report, which described Clinton’s manner of handling her emails as “not an appropriate method.” Clinton refused to speak to the Inspector General’s investigators.
Asked about the news during a press conference in North Dakota, Trump said the report shows that Clinton suffers from “bad judgment,” an assessment that would be equally appropriate if the report had assessed Clinton’s position on gun control.
EBR Motorcycles, Erik Buell, and Liquid Asset Partners are pleased to announce Memorial Day weekend that they will be donating the proceeds from the auction of the first 2016 EBR Motorcycle, a Limited Edition ‘1776’ 1190RX, to benefit the Fisher House Foundation. The online auction is open to the public and ends July 4, to highlight the American flag themed bike. The Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.
“We at EBR Motorcycles and Liquid Asset Partners believe in the freedom of America, and know that freedom isn’t free,” said Bill Melvin of EBR Motorcycles. “We are eternally grateful to our troops and their families. At first we felt the ‘1776’ bike showcased our American Motorcycle heritage, and instantly when we saw the flag on the bike we wanted to show our love of America by donating the proceeds to support our troops, veterans, and their families. We are glad the first Limited Edition bike can benefit the Fisher House Foundation. They do amazing work, and there was no better day to have the auction end then 4th of July, which this year is our nations’ 240th anniversary!
What a way to celebrate our Freedom! So I hope everyone bids with patriotism and charity in their hearts, because it’s really for a great cause.”

WEEKEND GUN NUT REPORT EXPAND– Enthusiasm Abounds at Second Annual Second Amendment Youth Leadership Conference– On Saturday, May 21st, in conjunction with NRA’s Annual Meetings in Louisville, NRA-ILA’s Grassroots Division hosted the Second Amendment Youth Leadership Conference. Demonstrating the support for our rights among college students and millennials, attendance was double that of last year’s inaugural event!
After being greeted by NRA First Vice President Pete Brownell, who spoke about the importance of tomorrow’s leaders engaging today, attendees heard from members of ILA’s Grassroots Division staff, who provided them with important information on:
Framing the gun control debate
Current federal and state legislative issues
Campus activism
Grassroots programs for college students
Employment opportunities with NRA
No doubt, the highlight of the event was an impassioned and heartfelt story told by Kimberly Corban about a harrowing attack she endured in college while unarmed. The students sat riveted as they saw the real-world consequences of disarming their peer group and rendering them helpless. Kimberly’s courage in recounting her story put a real face on the importance of the Second Amendment and self-defense.
Following the presentations, attendees broke out into individual stations where they met one-on-one with Grassroots staff to further discuss and delve into the topics discussed during the event and earned NRA “swag”, like t-shirts, stickers, bags, hats, koozies and posters. Throughout the event other items were raffled off, including tickets to that evening’s Toby Keith concert.

OPEN YOUR MIND— I’m reading over and over how we create our own destiny and how you can guide your own goals. It’s so obvious, but it takes doing your homework.
If you tell yourself to smoke a cigarette, guess what. If you tell yourself to buy a six-pack, guess what. If you tell yourself to paint the head, who makes it happen? You do.
So, if you tell yourself you’ll be able to bench press 250 pounds, and you believe it, what generally happens. You train and soon you’re benching 250. Think about it.
Today, I’ll test ride the factory racer. I checked the intake, I changed the cam, and I switched the two return lines to the oil bag, just in case.
I received copies of my latest book yesterday, Amazing. It’s a novel and it’s done…
This week, I’ll work with Brew Dude on a tech. I’m working on a MetalSport update, maybe news from the Salt Torpedo and Paughco, and of course my final issues with the City. And we need to finish the El Waggs Saddlemen tech. If I keep after anything, it finally happens. Amazing!
