Hey,
We’re up and on the road at 4:00 a.m. heading to the Mojave Mile with a 1000 cc race Kawasaki, which is putting out over 170 horses, and was strapped to a tuning dyno all day Saturday. It’s Tobey’s daily rider.
Okay, so it’s not a Harley, but we are giving him a hand, just to experience the Mojave Mile, a one-mile landing strip still in use on the edge of the desert. It’s a one-mile timed stretch with a half-mile exit ramp, at 2,800 feet, only about 1.5 hour drive from the Bikernet Interplanetary headquarters.
It isn’t a sanctioned event, and they don’t have an official record book, but they do have a 200 mph club, a 225 mph, and a 250 mph club with three members currently. So we are heading out to see how the program and the track works for Tobey. There is a remote chance he could come back with a 200 mph membership. He has run 193 on the salt.
PAY THE AMA TO HANG WITH THE LEGENDS–
PICKERINGTON, Ohio – The American Motorcyclist Association Motorcycle Hall of Fame has introduced a new way for individuals and companies to help promote and protect motorcycling’s heritage: My Hall of Fame.
“The idea is simple,” said AMA Director of Operations and Hall of Famer Jack Penton. “For a small donation, your photo can hang on the wall of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame museum entrance foyer during the campaign year.
The image you put in that space can be a photo of you, your family, your friends, your bike, your company logo — anything appropriate for public display.
“The Penton family has already jumped on board with our support, and I’m looking forward to seeing others back the Hall of Fame’s mission in this very visible way,” Penton added.
A 3-inch-square photo will be placed on the wall for a $20 donation, while an $80 donation includes a 6-inch-square photo and a $180 donation secures a 9-inch-square photo. All donors participating in the My Hall of Fame program receive an official certificate noting that their picture is on display. All proceeds support the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
To hang with the legends and support the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, just visit www.MotorcycleMuseum.org.

Healing Heroes Network:
Network of Medical Professionals Helping Wounded Veterans – A Healing Heroes’ Welcome–
Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and the subsequent war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, thousands of members of our armed forces have been injured in the line of duty defending our freedom and protecting the United States of America. Often these men and women are unable to receive the medical treatments that would facilitate their return to a productive civilian life. While the Department of Veterans Affairs provides treatment to these troops, the scope of covered services is limited and sometimes unavailable.
That’s where HHN steps in. We provide financial assistance for desperately needed therapies and services for injuries like Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), that are not currently provided or covered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Almost silently, so as not to scare the fish, Bob says, ‘I think I’m gonna divorce my wife. She hasn’t spoken to me in over 2 months..’
Charles continues slowly sipping his beer then thoughtfully says, ‘You better think it over, Bob. Women like that are hard to find.’

BIKERNET BAD COP FILES–ASHWAUBENON — The village of Ashwaubenon has fired a police officer accused of handcuffing his wife during an argument.
Campbellsport native Thomas Benike, 35, is charged in Brown County with felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Gannett Wisconsin Media reported the village Police and Fire Commission reached a decision that “the good of the service requires his separation from the department.”
According to the complaint, Benike accused his wife of stealing his wallet during a dispute last October and handcuffed her for at least 10 minutes.
Benike had been suspended but continued to draw his $71,000 annual salary. The commission noted Benike had an “unblemished” career.
Benike’s attorney argued that when the department previously handled an officer’s misconduct, rehabilitation and discipline rather than termination was effective punishment.

ATTIKA 7: Performing Never-Before-Heard Music on The Discovery Channel’s New Hit Show ‘The Devil’s Ride’ Next Tuesday, June 5th!–New Full-Length ATTIKA 7 Album ‘Blood Of My Enemies’ Hits Stores on July 31, 2012.
Tune in to The Discovery Channel’s new hit motorcycle club series, ‘The Devil’s Ride’, next week for ATTIKA 7’s world premiere of select tracks appearing on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Blood Of My Enemies. The episode, featuring a previously recorded live performance with exclusive, never-before-heard tracks, will air on June 5, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT. The series often features ATTIKA 7 guitarist Rusty Coones and will include music from the band’s new album throughout the rest of the season.
ATTIKA 7 and Loudwire.com recently revealed the brand new track, ‘Devil’s Daughter’. Fans can head to Loudwire.com to listen to the track now at this location.
ATTIKA 7’s new album, Blood Of My Enemies, is set for a July 31, 2012 release and features ex-Biohazard vocalist Evan Seinfeld, lead guitarist, notable songwriter and famed (Sons of Anarchy) motorcycle builder Rusty Coones, and bassist Tony Campos, founding member of Static X, who also currently performs in Soulfly, Prong, Possessed, Asesino and Ministry. The band recorded Blood of My Enemies with legendary producer MUDROCK (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack).
Blood of My Enemies is a brutal slab of unrelenting hard rock, with the initial groundwork laid by Rusty Coones in the confines of a federal penitentiary. It was in this unforgiving environment that he penned the songs that would eventually become the band’s uncompromising debut.

THE ADRENALINE CLOCK IS TICKING
E C T A Wilmington, Ohio, RACING
Mojave Super Mile, RACING
Speed Week Bonneville, 69 Days
BUB Speed Trials Bonneville, 79 days
This is one action packed weekend for performance junkies. From the NHRA in Topeka, Kansas to the Ohio Mile in the mid-west, to the Mojave Super Mile on the red hot West coast. The Ohio and Mojave races kicked off just after sunrise this morning. Oh ya, managed to snag a couple photo of hot rods running in Ohio, cross winds permitting.
Eddie Krawlec, NHRA Pro pilot is the number one qualifier posting a blistering 6.782 @ 197.48 mph in Topeka. The finals commence Sunday after the flag ceremony at high noon with the TOP FUEL pilots rockin the crowd. Good Luck Krawlec, straight and true…
The Bikernet Limo is loaded and the crew is questionable at this point, seems the sultry maidens in the Cantina opened the saloon early. Since its Saturday somewhere, what the hell? Dazed and confused?
Your 5-Ball Racing Team will peel out of this fog engulfed harbor in the middle of the night, come rain or shine, destination Mojave Mile with a proven race bike in tow. Toby posted a 193 mph pass in Bonneville without a major tune up and proper gearing. The hot rod visited the Dyno Saturday for a tuning session and a gearing change for an opportunity to take a stab at the elusive, magic, 200 mph mark. In less than 24 hours we will know. Stay Tuned.
97-inch Twin Cam
Expect a running report any minute..We’ll let ya know as soon as we hear the rumble out of San Jose.
5-Ball Racing 124 inch Turbo Raycer

KICKIN’ OUTTA HERE EARLY—Last night I took my Mudflap girl FXR out for a test ride. It felt good. The handling was tighter, but the speedo still doesn’t work. I need to get to the bottom of it. I’ll check the wiring once more, then I may pull the sensor and replace it with another one.
One tinkering element has been alignment. We handled it the best we could through strict measurement, then I called Don Hotop, and he reminded me about 8-foot fluorescent tubes, or straight lengths of something. The tubes weren’t long enough, but last night I thought about Mil Blair’s laser alignment tool.
That puppy is a breeze to work with, but there’s a myriad of issues with a FXR chassis. Plus the wheels need to be absolutely centered before any long alignment tool will work. More tinkering to come next week.
We will bring you a couple of Bonneville reports, and motorcycle performance issues, after we’ve been energized by the Mojave Mile on Sunday.
Ride Forever,
–Bandit
