The Annual pilgrimage for Rocky Mountain Oysters
You can’t miss Severance, its just down the road a little bit and Bruce’s is in the middle of town. A restaurant and bar that has been serving good food and cold beer since 1957, Bruce’s has made Severance famous.
In 1959 Bruce Ruth took a gamble and started serving Rocky Mountain Oysters, this eventually put Bruce’s and Severance on the map. As you pull into town you see a sign with the town slogan, “Town of Severance – Where the Geese Fly and the Bulls Cry”. This area of Colorado has long been known for geese hunting and Bruce’s is the place to stop for a drink after a long day in the field.
