‘Twas the night before Christmas–Old Santa was pissed.
He cussed out the elves and threw down his list.
Miserable little brats, ungrateful little jerks.
I have a good mind to scrap the whole works!
I’ve busted my ass for damn near a year,
Instead of “Thanks Santa”–what do I hear?
The old lady bitches cause I work late at night.
The elves want more money–The reindeer all fight.
Rudolph got drunk and goosed all the maids.
Donner is pregnant and Vixen has AIDS.
And just when I thought that things would get better
Those assholes from the IRS sent me a letter,
They say I owe taxes–if that ain’t damn funny
Who the hell ever sent Santa Claus any money?
And the kids these days–they all are the pits
They want the impossible–Those mean little shits
I spent a whole year making wagons and sleds
Assembling dolls…Their arms, legs and heads
I made a ton of yo yo’s–No request for them,
They want computers and robots…they think – I’m IBM!
Flying through the air…dodging the trees
Falling down chimneys and skinning my knees
I’m quitting this job there’s just no enjoyment
I’ll sit on my fat ass and draw unemployment.
There’s no Christmas this year now you know the reason,
I found me a blonde. I’m going SOUTH for the season

Ride Safe! “Never assume malice when stupidity will suffice” PEGASUS PFI-V FUEL INJECTION TECH QUESTION–Checked out Pegasus PFI-V. How are they goin to deal with the Twin Cam engine?? There is a big market for a replacement for the Magnelli Morelli H-D used from 95 to 2001. It’s junk. Always has been from day one. Zippers, I think is the only one offering a update. They offer a Delphi conversion upgrade. Nice, but very pricey. So, my point is think many of those old junk H-D EFI systems are out there. Lot’s of them. As you can imagine to become successful you would need to have a variety of resources, notoriety, exposure and experience to even think about launching into this small niche market. That is exactly what Vinnie Di Martino and Cody Connelly have going for them. Famous for their contributions to the TLC American Chopper series they have moved on and are now the proud creators and owners of V-FORCE CUSTOMS. Cody was the first employee of OCC when the show took to the airways. Being there over six years and Vinnie over 5 years, they both have a great deal of hands on experience and notoriety. ?We are looking forward to getting out in the shop and doing what we love and do best. The past couple months have been mostly setting up the office and legal work,? Cody comments. Vinnie adds, ?We do have a website up and running which is doing very well receiving over 2,000 unique visitors each day. Cody and I try to post comments and upload videos on a daily basis.? In addition, Cody explained that the website is the outlet for their clothing line and have sold their first run of 1,000-signed T-shirts. Cody explained the freshly painted epoxy floors are dry and the new equipment is starting to arrive everyday. You can visit their website VForceCustoms.com and take a virtual tour of their new shop and you can even leave them a comment. ?We plan on being at 2008 Bike Week in Daytona with or without a bike. We plan to at least come out and offer our hats and T-shirts,? says Vinnie. STAR STUDDED 2007 SEMINOLE HARD ROCK ROADHOUSE BASH– HOLLYWOOD, FLA – December 18, 2007 – The Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse Tour made it’s final stop for 2007 in true Hard Rock style joined by two of America’s favorite rockers, legendary Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler and Motley Crue’s Vince Neil.
The weekend kicked off at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida with Steven Tyler’s donation of a new outfit to the Hard Rock that he presented while perched on one the first bikes on the road from his new Red Wing Motorcycle company.
The same evening held the Fort Lauderdale Harley-Davidson “Bikers Bash” that benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Featured entertainment was hosted by Grammy winner/songwriter RICHIE SUPA’S UNPLUGGED Show with performances by Steven Tyler, Vince Neil, country music singer/songwriter Brett James, singer/songwriter Shelly Fairchild and acclaimed Grammy winner/songwriter Stephanie Smith.
Other motorcycle-riding celebrities in attendance included Ami James from Miami Ink, supermodel Niki Taylor, NASCAR driver Burney Lamar and NFL Hall of Famer Terry Kirby, and a list of renowned builders including Dave Perewitz, Eddie Trotta/Thunder Cycles, Aaron Greene/Paramount Cycles, Roger Bourget and Dale Parker/Wide Open Cycles.
The night helped raise over $100,000 featuring auction items such as Hard Rock guitars signed by rock stars around the world and two custom motorcycles; one by Sucker Punch Sally’s and one built on “The Today Show” by the Chopper Chicks Crew. This entire night of entertainment, great food and cocktails was underwritten by the Seminole Hard Rock, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Bruce Rossmeyer Harley-Davidson with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.
Carrie Repp, producer/promoter of the Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse said, “The Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse Tour wrapped up the year with a bang. There is no other place you can experience great rock and roll from the likes of Steven Tyler and Vince Neil at a great venue like the Seminole Hard Rock while being surrounded by the best custom bike builders in the country. The best part was that all the proceeds went to charity, once again proving that bikers and rockers have the biggest hearts.”
The weekend of events culminated with the “SFPC’s 20th Annual Christmas Toys in the Sun Run.” This is the world’s longest motorcycle parade with over 30,000 riders police-escorted on a stretch of 25-miles of closed down highways. The destination featured the Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse, vendors and builders and performances by Richie Supa & Friends opening for Vince Neil on the main stage. The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital benefited from the day with a check presentation and thousands of toys brought by riders that will be distributed by the SFPC to children for a very special Christmas.
The Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse 2008 year will be kicked off at Daytona Bike Week at the Dog House on Main Street. Other ’08 locations include Sturgis, Myrtle Beach, Laconia, Biketoberfest and Fort Lauderdale .
Title sponsor of the Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse is, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, South Florida’s leading entertainment destination featuring 50 live action poker tables and 2,400 of the most popular gaming machines on the casino floor including a new, non-smoking gaming room. The room offers ATM and redemption machines and its own Players Club Booth. This latest enhancement makes Seminole Hard Rock the largest casino in Florida with more than 140,000 square feet of gaming space. This Four-Diamond, AAA rated, 500-room hotel offers 17 restaurants and lounges, 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting room space, a full-service, European-style spa, environmentally friendly hand car wash and auto detail salon, and 22 retail shops and 11 nightclubs in Seminole Paradise.

Ridley Announces Big Gains in Houston, Credits Emerging Markets–OKLAHOMA CITY (12/18/07) – Ridley Motorcycle Company announced major gains at their Houston area dealerships over last year, bucking reports of an industry slowdown. The company further announced American Dream Cycles in Houston and Xtreme Custom Choppers in Bacliff are leading the country in sales of new Ridley Motorcycles. The sales of Ridley Automatic motorcycles in the Houston market is up 140 percent over last year.
“I believe the overall industry may be down because rider demographics are changing but for the most part, the product is not,” said Bob Kay, director of sales at Ridley Motorcycle Company. “Ridley motorcycles are different because they appeal to these new demographics such as first time riders and women, as well as experienced riders who are getting back into motorcycling.”
According to the Motorcycle Industry Council, the number of female motorcycle riders has increased 36 percent since 1998. As the female demographic increases, many motorcycle companies are looking for ways to capture a significant market share.
“Some companies are trying to court new and female riders through ‘shop parties’ but the bikes they demonstrate are too heavy and complicated to ride,” said Clay Ridley, president and founder of Ridley Motorcycle Company. “We’re seeing a lot of customers learn about our motorcycles at these parties and come purchase a Ridley because it actually fits the rider. These customers are looking for a motorcycle with a low seat height, light weight and a low center of gravity. This exactly describes any Ridley Motorcycle.”
Ridley is introducing many new model options for 2008 including a redesigned Sport, a completely new Auto-Glide Standard model, and an automatic, three-wheeled “Trike”. Base model prices range from $13,995 to $25,995. Ridley Motorcycles are sold throughout the world. Their dealership network spans over 60 US markets, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Japan. Ridley is looking to expand into the majority of the EU member countries in the near future.

KLOCK WERKS NEW FLARE WINDSHIELD WIND TUNNEL TESTED AND SALT FLATS PROVEN–Klock Werks all new flare windshield does more than look great, it improves performance overall and they can prove it!
Mitchell, SD- The Klock Werks Krew does it again! This time they have taken their winning Bonneville Salt Flats experiences and turned them into viable products for your bike. The all new Flare Windshield (Patent Pending) proves that Klock Werks is the Bagger aftermarket leader.
Brian Klock, owner of Klock Werks, designed and built the Flare windshield to perform as well as look great. “I started this project with a few things in mind; I knew the windshield needed to create down force which would result in less lift on the motorcycle. If I could get this done, it would improve handling and provide an improved air pocket for the rider” explained Klock. The rider he refers to is his new bride, Laura Klock. Laura set a record on the Flats last year riding the bagger Brian built for the Discovery Channel’s Great Biker Build Off.
“Once I had the design down, I wanted to be sure I had done what I set out to do, especially before we hit the Salt Flats, so we took it to NASCAR country and actually tested it at speed in an A2 wind tunnel. The entire experience was surreal!” finished Klock.
Klock Werks Flare Windshield comes custom-molded from premium quality, hard-coated polycarbonate. Polycarbonate provides unmatched durability, even for hard core riders. The sexy, new Flare windshield arrives pre-drilled for fast, easy mounting using your stock windshield hardware. It was designed to make your bike perform and look great. “It’s wind tunnel tested and rider approved” said Laura Klock. Laura has set back to back Bonneville records. The Flare windshield works beyond the salts, it provides improved stability at highway speeds for any rider.
The Flare comes in several options; including one you can paint to match your bike. All are currently available and priced at $169.95
Klock Werks Flare Windshield options include:
8″ Tint
8″ Black
8″ Paint able Clear
12″ Tint
12″ Clear
A Batwing style Flare is nearly complete, watch for details soon
Klock Werks has developed a full line of parts based off of the World’s Fastest Bagger (WFB). This windshield and all other bagger parts are available at: www.kustombaggers.com , Klock Werks (605) 996-3700, or through your local Drag Specialties dealer.

Harley-Davidson chose six finalists on Nov. 28 and posted them online for viewer voting to begin. At the end of the voting period on Dec. 12, Harley-Davidson decided that all six finalists would be chosen as winners and receive the trip of a lifetime for them and a guest. “Interest in the Harley-Davidson Get Down to Daytona contest exceeded our expectations,” said Leslie Prevish, manager, women’s outreach, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “We are thrilled with the response we have received to the contest videos. All of the finalists’ stories are truly inspirational, and the nearly 35,000 voters felt the same way. So, we have decided to extend the prize package and invitation to all six women and their guests to join us on the Get Down to Daytona Ride.” The six winners in alphabetical order are: Carol Dicicco from Chalfont, Pa.; Tonya Lamia from Rockford, Ill.; Kimberly Ryon from Harford, Pa.; Shelli Strand from Birch Run, Mich.; Jennifer Thorne from Mt. Pleasant, Pa.; and Teresa Weston from Hermitage, Tenn. Harley-Davidson announced the Get Down to Daytona contest on October 1, and women had until November 15 to submit videos about their greatest motorcycle mentor story. The videos were 90 seconds or less, and gave a woman the chance to thank her mentor for helping her start her motorcycle journey, improve her confidence and riding skills or take on new challenges on a motorcycle. More than 200 videos were submitted before six finalists were chosen for online viewer voting, which began on Nov. 28 and ended Dec. 12. The six winners’ videos are still posted online at EASYRIDERS SHOW CARD–This is the art for the backside of the Autograph Cards the Centerfold Builders hand out and it includes the Bikernet.com logo, you lucky bastard. You have been picked for outstanding service and dedication to our events, and because you always bring the Jack Daniels. –ER Events Janitor PEGASUS TIP OF THE WEEK–Have you ever been jamming on the freeway at high speeds and sensed that your were running into your rev limiter-only you didn’t have a rev limiter? Feels like you’re missing terribly or the carb ran short of gas. According to Mil Blair, the circuit breakers on late model Harleys can vibrate at high speeds or under tough road and rigid frame conditions and start to miss connect. “I recommend returning to the era of the fuse,” Mil said. “I run the best automotive inline fuses to eliminate vibrating Circuit breakers.”

“Evel was an extreme person with a big heart,” said Davidson. “I remember when I was a little boy, I asked him to help sponsor me in a bicycle ride for the Diabetic Association. He sent a letter and a check back for $1,000! I know he supported a lot of organizations throughout his years, but kids always held a special place in his heart.”
“The last time I saw Evel was in Daytona in March when we had asked him to sign autographs for an hour. Even though he was ill, he stayed for three or fours hours signing autographs. Evel was not only an amazing stuntman, but a man with an amazing soul.”

KING KONG KLUTCH FROM BAKER–Hi everybody in American Big Twin media-land. This is a blast email press release from Scout the Brand Vandal at BAKER Drivetrain. For many, I’m re-introducing our King Kong Klutch. I have a spanking-new media list, so if you hadn’t got any official word on the KKK back in January, here is my official intro.
Why am I re-introducing this clutch? Well, it was designed to be the end all for big-inch, high-power, massive output from mega-motors. That was our focus and it’s doing just fine with that target. But, we’re finding that touring folks LOVE the super-light clutch effort. Yes, this KKK will fit most stock baggers our there and it subsides clutch effort without heavy springs. The secret is in the design.
The new focus on the KKK, without being cross-eyed, will also be the demographic who complains about difficulty clutching the most. A lot of the types are in the bagger market. Forgive me for not being PC if I’m not, but this clutch is great for older riders, arthritic riders, and women with smaller hands, and so on, The KKK will be the –//Scout BIKERNET-ROLLIN’ SIXES CHOPPERS T-SHIRTS FOR THE TROOPS DRIVE–Read your T-shirt for troops call etc. Here is a seasonal poem from Afganistan. STEED MOTORCYCLES DIDN’T DIE–Due to the overwhelming number of requests, I’ve re-opened this website to you, the Steed Enthusiast, as a source for current updates and historical reference material. The Official Steed Online Store is now open once again and stocked with Steed Brand Clothing and merchandise.
I’d like to personally thank each and every one of the Steed Motorcycle owners for their encouragement and continued support during one of the most challenging chapters in my 19 year history in the American motorcycle industry.
In July of 2005 I “sold” the assets of the motorcycle manufacturing company I founded in 1989, along with motorcycle designs and processes to Patriot Motorcycle Corporation. I also licensed my brands, Steed and Steed Musclebike to Patriot while I was employed to oversee the Design and Development of street motorcycles for the company.
My short alliance with Patriot Motorcycle Corporation ended in October 2006 when I declined an offer from Patriot to “buy back” the motorcycle division they decimated in less than a year.
Sadly, directly due to my association with Patriot, 2006 was the last year of production of Steed Brand motorcycles. Currently I am pursuing all the legal remedies available. Patriot Motorcycle Corporation, CEO Michelle Attias, President, Dick Simon and CFO David Gernak are currently now known collectively and individually with their spouses as “Defendants” in US District Court. Even though the wheels of justice move at a very low RPM I have faith that justice will prevail, given time.
My passion and commitment to the American Motorcycle industry continues. I will personally respond to all inquiries regarding Branding, Licensing, Product Design, Consulting, Marketing and Photography at my latest venture JC Studios LLC.
I truly appreciate your continued support of the Steed Brand.

SUPPORT THE CALIFORNIA HELMET LITIGATION– There is important constitutional helmet law litigation, originally brought by Richard Quigley that requires your support for it to succeed. It is set for trial in May 2008 in the same California courthouse where Quigley obtained the judicial opinion that the California helmet law was unconstitutionally vague as applied. The present litigation, if successful, will build on that victory now to defeat the California helmet law on the same constitutional due process grounds. We anticipate, furthermore, that the appellate decision resulting from the case will also assist freedom fighters across the nation to defeat their helmet laws.
The purpose of this correspondence is to request your help to properly fund the trial. We urge you to pass the hat, dig deep, and send your checks to: “Judicial Fund” c/o Abate of California, 10240 Seventh Avenue, Hesperia, CA 92345.
True to the tradition of the small but great state of Delaware, the first state to ratify the United States Constitution, the three Delaware ABATE Chapters have announced that they will be the first to stand to defend the constitution, specifically by doing their part to assure that this important constitutional litigation prevails. These three small Delaware ABATE Chapters have made an $8,000 contribution to this Judicial Fund set up as the war chest for the Quigley litigation. The contribution represents $8.00 from each Delaware ABATE member. In announcing the donation, Delaware ABATE State Legislative Coordinator, Gary K. (Hildy) Hilderbrand stated:
“We are releasing this announcement as a challenge to all SMROs in every state in the nation to match what our little State has done. ABATE of Delaware is proud to represent the State that started this nation, and first on board with the desperately needed funds to maintain our freedom.”
We are writing to urge all SMROs across this nation to come together, and follow Delaware’s lead, to assure that this important constitutional litigation prevails. We also want you to know that the success we achieve will not just free California bikers from the shackles of our oppressive helmet law; it will set the precedent that we hope will assure that every other state can obtain or preserve freedom.
The legislative helmet wars have entered an entirely new battlefield on which SMROs now face not only the insurance industry and medical lobbyists but the federal government now wearing the face of the National Transportation Safety Board. The September 2007 NTSB recommendations and the reinvigorated helmet law proponent activity nationwide should cause rights advocates in every state to consider whether it will be realistic to expect with any certainty that freedom can be achieved against these even greater powers lining up against us, and indeed, whether the SMROs in the free and semi-free states we will be able to hold on to their freedom.
The NTSB has made a specific recommendation to every state, and that is to adopt or amend the state helmet laws to require that ALL riders wear helmets conforming to the federal motorcycle helmet performance standard set forth in FMVSS 218. This already has happened in Nebraska and North Carolina.
The importance of the Quigley California litigation is in part derived from the fact that the California helmet law is precisely the law that the NTSB has recommended. It is a law requiring all California motorcyclists and their passengers to wear helmets compliant with FMVSS 218.
The present litigation is the culmination of 17 years of concerted work by Richard Quigley and California freedom fighters like Steve Bianco, the truck driver responsible for the constitutional appellate law which has set the CHP up for this fall. Steve Bianco is also one of the four remaining plaintiffs in the Quigley litigation who will carry this litigation forward now following Quig’s passing.
If successful, our victory will hammer the final constitutional nail into the coffin of the California helmet law. It is 17 years of work which we also hope may be able to shortcut the road to freedom for those who will fight for it in the courts of our sister states. Indeed, it is our greatest hope that our victory will serve as important constitutional precedent for freedom fighters to obtain the same result in every state in which a helmet law presently requires use of FMVSS 218 compliant helmets, and every other state in which such a law is subsequently enacted pursuant to the NTSB’s recommendations.
Thank you for your consideration in the above regard.
In freedom and brotherhood,

LETTERS TO TROOPS RETURNED OR DESTROYED–Hundreds of thousands of holiday cards and letters thanking American troops for their sacrifice and wishing them well never reach their destination. They are returned to sender or thrown away unopened.
Since the Sept. 11 attacks and the anthrax scare, the Pentagon and the Postal Service have refused to deliver mail addressed simply to “Any Wounded Soldier” for fear terrorists or opponents of the war might send toxic substances or demoralizing messages.
Mail must be addressed to a specific member of the armed forces – a rule that pains many well-meaning Americans this Holiday season.
Last season, despite the rule, officials say as many as 450,000 pieces of mail not addressed to anyone in particular managed to reach Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. But they were returned or, if they had no return address, were thrown out altogether, because the hospital lacked the manpower to open and screen all the unsolicited mail.
USO spokesman John Hanson said that like the military, the nonprofit service organization does not deliver unopened mail to unspecified recipients. He said the USO worries about security as well as hateful messages from war critics.
The USO is one of the organizations the military is encouraging people to support with donations as an alternative to sending cards to unspecified soldiers. The military is also referring people to the American Red Cross and a Defense Department Web site where supporters have posted thousands of messages to troops.
INDIAN LARRY LEGACY SPLITS–In September 2004, four friends and partners of Indian Larry got together to form an organization with one goal in mind, keeping Indian Larry’s memory alive. This collaboration, known as Indian Larry Legacy, has continuously grown to produce outstanding motorcycles, custom parts, and an expanding line of cutting edge apparel.
2008 will bring about some changes to the organization in that the Legacy partners, Bobby Seeger, Elisa Seeger, Paul Cox, and Keino Sasaki, will all be branching out to follow various independent pursuits in the motorcycle industry.
Bobby Seeger and Elisa Seeger, major players in the bike shop and the driving force behind the creative and diverse line of Indian Larry merchandise, will continue to offer the public an opportunity to own something special. The time they have spent as Larry’s friends and partners has led them to produce a quality group of accessories. These items continue to be offered at various shops across the country as well as on indianlarry.com. They will also focus on Grease Monkey Mayhem and event started in Sturgis 2006, which has brought together the most talented builders and artists to showcase their work.
Keino Sasaki, eager young builder from Japan, is launching his own shop in Brooklyn, NY named Keino Cycles. Having been greatly inspired by Larry’s philosophy, Keino’s sites are aimed towards advances in motor configuration, frame work and sheet metal and a look that is unique and stylish.
Paul Cox, long established as a leather craftsman and fabricator, will be expanding his independent company Paul Cox Industries. The primary focus will continue to be handmade motorcycles, along with custom parts and leather work. He will remain in Brooklyn and continue to build in the mechanical style shared with him by Indian Larry.

Merry Merry, Goddamnit,
So, as we rumble near that sacred day and wrestle between being warm and friendly and paying the bills, it’s no wonder folks lose their minds. Plus, let’s add 2008 planning and refurbishing the Assalt Weapan for the show circuit. But it’s all wonderful, right?
Sure it is, there’s just not enough miniscule minutes in each day to make it all happen. Yvonne Mecalis just finished painting Chris Kallas’ Bonne Belle Art on the 45 fatbob tanks (I may have a shot of the tanks for the Sunday Post). I’m going to put the roller together and ship it to Departure Bike Works for final assembly.
Air Tech is finishing the final molds for the Assalt Weapan fairing and I need to mount this wild aerodynamic puppy and ship it to Jim Waggaman of Air Stream studios for paint. This flying hot dog will look like 200 mph just sitting still. I can’t wait. Jerry from Rollin Sixes will flip. More of the emerald flake will be utilized to make her shine. Let’s get to the news and out of the garage. It’s packed fulla Holiday Spirit:
CHECK THIS, THE GRATITUDE CAMPAIGN–As we enter the Year of The Veteran on Bikernet, we will hunt constantly for ways and means to display our gratitude to veterans. This is just one of the simple was we can show respect:
WILD BAGS FROM REDNECK–We’re about to build a touring Pro Street and we discovered these killer bags at Bonneville. If Mike could haul ass across the country on a Softail hooked up with these bags, make passes at Bonneville and ride it home, they were good enough for our rubbermounted effort. We’ll show you how they fit and function as we build this cool touring model.
TEXAS BLOOD CENTER DRIVE–…Once Again Carter Blood Center will set up their Bloodmobile at the Longhorn Ballroom during Texas Scooter Times Dallas Chopper Show January 13th where after the Toy Run Season Motorcycle Enthusiasts will be given the opportunity to donate The Gift of Life. …January is always a difficult month for the Carter Blood Center which requires 900 donors per day to meet the growing blood needs of our area which is only made possible through the generosity of the donors from the community.
…One out of every three people will need blood during their life. Cancer and Leukemia patients are the primary users of blood products. Blood from each donor is separated into three elements, red cells, plasma and platelets, touching and saving three different lives..
…Information for making an appointment during the 6th Annual Dallas Chopper Show to donate is available at www.texasscooter.com and donators will be given FREE ADMISSION to ENJOY

WHAT IF 20 MILLION “ILLEGAL” ALIENS VACATED AMERICA?—Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, “Mexican visitor’s lament” — 10/25/07.She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, “They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes …. What happens to your country’s economy if 20 million people go away?”
That’s a good question – it deserves an answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders & illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers may surprise you!
In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupted hospitals & overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer & less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominate language again.
In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids & grand-kids – would move back “home,” mostly to Mexico. That would save Coloradans an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 BIL) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services & incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.
Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, & the terror those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young & 100s of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.
Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% drop out/flunk out rate via 1000s of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado. Denver’s 4% unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.
In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law and English.
In Chicago, Ill, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.
If 20 million illegal aliens returned “home” –If 20 million illegal aliens returned “home,” the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn’t be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local state and city coffers.
No more push ‘1’ for Spanish or ‘2’ for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than 2 million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.
We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country. In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the “18th Street Gang” would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists & child molesters!
Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock.. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens!Drain on America’s economy; taxpayers harmed, employers get rich
Over $80 billion annually wouldn’t return to their home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America’s economy – which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt.
At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in CA, GA. & FL. Would still be operating instead of being bankrupted out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn’t suffer 1000s of TB & hepatitis cases rampant in our country-brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.
Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the “progressives” on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11 percent of our greenhouse gases.
Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside & along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York Times called, “colonias” or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation & worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, electricity, roads or any kind of sanitation. The New York Times reported them to be America’s new “Third World” inside our own country. Within 20 yrs, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias. (I’ve seen them personally in Texas & Arizona; it’s sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico.
High integrity, ethical invitation
We invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We invite a million people into our country LEGALLY, more than all other countries combined, annually. We cannot & must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders & growing lawlessness at every level in our nation.
It’s time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.
So far Oklahoma is the only state to do so!

BIKERNET XMAS WISHES–
It was Bikernet rigged and rakish,
with a long and lissome hull.
And it flew the pretty colors of the crossbones and the skull!
The paint was black and silky,
the engine hellfire hot.
A worthy steed for the Bikernet Crew,
a riotous, unruly lot.
Now at this time of commercialism cheer,
and the Government getting you down,
when the cops are prowling
and the sirens are growling
and the world’s a-moaning a-loud
Remember you’re a biker and you can still stand proud.
Do as they say and as they do,
and too your brothers stay you true.
The citizens and their cages,
the zombies one and all,
The walking dead,
the empty heads,
the ones who never will
Understand what drives us,
day out and long night through,
So Happy Xmas Muthafuckers,
this poem is meant for YOU!
Best wishes: Jaqhama and Shalako-Lin.

60 WARLOCK RIDERS HAMPER TRAFFIC ON WAY TO GENTLEMEN’S CLUB–Florida Today, FL – MELBOURNE – What was intended to be a tribute to a motorcyclist who was killed in an accident last month on Strawbridge Avenue turned into a confrontation in Melbourne on Saturday between about 60 motorcyclists and area law enforcement.
One cyclist was charged with disorderly conduct after being stopped by a deputy at Aurora and Turtle Mound roads, but the incident escalated at Bare Assets on U.S. 192 when other cyclists arrived there and were confronted by a sheriff’s deputy. He called for backup and about a dozen deputies and officers from Melbourne and West Melbourne police responded.
According to members of the Warlocks motorcycle club, based in South Brevard County, the group planned a memorial in honor of Jo Jo Touzzo, who was killed in a motorcycle accident Nov. 14. They said they contacted the sheriff’s office about an escort, but a voicemail message they left was not returned.
They conducted the memorial anyway. An estimated 60 motorcyclists rode along 192, blocking traffic, riding through stop signs and backing up traffic along the route toward Interstate 95. A sheriff’s deputy managed to stop the lead rider at Aurora Road.
“We were trying to have a good time, but without the cooperation of the sheriff’s office they put a squash on it,” said a man who identified himself as the group’s president.According to sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Potter, dozens of motorcyclists turned around, came back to the spot on Aurora Road and began threatening a deputy. One motorcyclist was arrested for disorderly conduct.
“The deputy out here was by himself, and was being approached by a group of about 50 people,” Potter said.A second confrontation occurred at the Bare Assets gentleman’s club, where the cyclists concluded their ride. The president of the club calmed the group down.No other arrests have been made, but some citations were being issued for various offenses, including expired tags.
In reference to the article above there seems to be a difference of opinion and much missing information. The person that wrote the article showed up when things were pretty much over and got a statement from police and did her story around that.I have a different version, as I was one of those riding in the memorial run.About 200 motorcycles left the Warlocks clubhouse in Melbourne Florida on a tribute ride for one of their members who recently died in a motorcycle crash. They held a riders meeting before departing explaining the route, stating they were taking a longer way to get to the first stop of three so as not to get caught in heavy traffic around the malls
I was about _ of the way back in the pack riding with my wife and friends. I was in the right of a two bike side by side procession.I did not see any altercation on Turtle Mound road. The group stopped for the traffic light at the next intersection which was John Rhodes Blvd. and Eau Gallie Blvd. As we were traveling south on the two lane road with drainage ditches on both side I saw blue lights in my mirror and the motorcycles behind me. The next thing I saw was a Brevard Deputy Sheriff going past me at a high rate of speed in the north bound lane after having crossed a double yellow line.
To avoid hitting on-coming traffic the car pulled into the pack forcing emergency braking and collision avoidance by the riders. I watch this repeated at least twice more before the car reached the intersection of John Rhodes and state road 192.
The motorcycles had stopped for the traffic light. The car stopped in the intersection for a short period of time and the proceeded east on 192. The procession followed. When we arrived the short distance we were to turn into the parking lot of the first stop the cruiser was across both lanes of westbound 192, a motorcycle was on its kickstand and the rider was face down on the roadway handcuffed behind his back.
The motorcycles in the ride quickly cleared the intersection while the cruiser stayed in position and flashing lights were seen coming west, some driving in the median at high rates of speed. Even after there were numerous police cars on the scene and no other road restrictions the sheriff department cruiser continued to block traffic.
Police then proceeded to walk through the parking lot taking license plate information and asking for identification from those present. When questioned on why they wanted identification the riders were told to supply it or be stopped when leaving and also get a ticket for loud exhaust. Hell some of those people were not even on motorcycles.
It should be noted that for the past 20 years or more it has been a common practice for large groups of motorcycles to block intersection in the area if the lead motorcycle had a green light so that the rest of the group could get through safely.
After the incident at the first stop it was decided to suspend the rest of the ride and for riders to head back to the clubhouse and or other places in small groups.

NEW YEARS DAY FREEDOM RIDES IN 3 COUNTIES AND CIRCLE THE GOVERNORS MANSION– North Carolina motorcyclists invite all motorcycle riders, and all citizens who love individual liberty, to participate in Freedom Rides to county courthouses in three counties on New Years Day, while in Wake County, motorcyclists will circle the Governors Mansion in Raleigh from 2 – 4pm, while liberty-minded citizens are encouraged to picket on the sidewalks.
This is in protest of the mandatory helmet laws which do not allow motorcycles on public roads unless people wear helmets. The other freedom rides will take place in the counties of Catawba, Gaston, and Guilford.
For details, see http:/bikersmag.com/html/freedom_rides.html or the Cruisin Calendar at www.fullthrottlemagazine.com
Some people wrongly think “it is just helmet laws” only effecting the liberties of motorcyclists, while most bikers, many of whom are military veterans, say “No, these are UNJUST laws” and the ramifications of allowing the government to dictate what people wear is enormous, as is the use of enforcement which uses subjective approval methods. Law enforcement officers do not have the training or equipment to conduct FMVSS 218 compliance testing on the side of the road.
North Carolina has had mandatory helmet laws for 40 years, yet the safety record is no better than many states who have no helmets laws. On New Years Day, the state will begin enforcing a changed helmet law which forces operators to ensure their helmet complies with Federal Motor Vehicle Standard (FMVSS) 218.Motorcyclists, like everyone else, are consumers. This embedding of FMVSS into traffic laws is a bad precedent which could ripple into the lives of other consumers.
When motorists purchase a car or truck, they are not forced to check to see if the vehicle and equipment complies with any of the hundreds of confusing federal standards. Motorists do not get ticketed if vehicle equipment suddenly appears in the recalls database, but somehow motorcyclists are going to be responsible if their helmet is not FMVSS 218 compliant. The NHTSA, who control FMVSS, has no statutory authority over motorists or consumers. FMVSS 218 is a self-certifying standard to be followed by helmet manufacturers. Helmets are not tested by the US DOT prior to appearing on store shelves. The DOT does not approve helmets, and there is no such thing as a “DOT Approved” helmet, in fact or in law.
If a statute does not tell the average citizen how to comply with certainty, the law is vague, therefore unconstitutional. So far, bikers have contacted the Governor, the AG, the DMV, and the NC Highway Patrol. None have been able to tell motorcyclists how they can comply with NC General Statute 20-140.4 with certainty. Even the NC legislator who introduced the bill in 2007, Rep Ron Sutton (D) Robeson County, is unable to answer how to comply with certainty. He has steered some people to pass/fail test results of some random sampling done each year by the Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance (OVSC). The test results say to continue to use the helmets unless notified by the helmet maker to stop.
There are many ways for helmet tickets to be defeated on the basis of vagueness, in court. In November, Terry Malpass from Kinston was able to win his court case in a trial in Lenoir County. BOLT of NC, operates the Biker Court web site at bikercourt.com which helps bikers get information about fighting helmet tickets. According to BOLT, the embedding of FMVSS 218 only makes the law more confusing and vague. Each time a helmet ticket goes to trial, it costs the state $872. In addition to contributing to the court backlogs, if 2000 tickets go to trial, it will cost the state $1.7 MILLION, which has not been budgeted for. If every motorcyclist fights the helmet tickets in court, the costs should render the helmet statute unenforceable.

THE PUBLIC BURDEN MYTH–I received this, from Mike Greenwald, recently and decided it was worth sharing just to make a point:The cost of crashes (accidents as some people refer to them) is astronomical. The insurance for a motorcycle in the USA is limited by the industry. They do not allow proper limits of coverage to cover the costs and yet in many states this insufficient coverage is not only mandatory but also insufficient.
1% bikers such as the Hell’s Angels, Outlaws, Bandidos (and the list goes on) mostly operate and celebrate in stealth. However, the emulator of the patch on the back of the vest promoting the bad boy image is Harley Davidson with their owners group called HOG. Many of these HOG members are delusional in American patriotism in purchasing their bikes and even more do not know how to ride them. Attribute this fact to the slipshod training available from the Harley dealerships and the industry funded Motorcycle Safety Foundation. The sole purpose of the MSF is to market motorcycles and the secondary purpose is to give licensing skills test waivers to its attendees. As a note of interest, deaths during training have risen significantly since the MSF has taken over training.
The charities are usually held harmless in the crashes and deaths here. Many of these benefit rides are dangerous and poorly organized for the rider. The headlines have been full of injury and death related to these events.
Unbelievable. Insurance companies are some of the most profitable entities in the world. They’re so powerful they can force governments to pass laws to improve their profits.
But get this, 177 billion will go to pay for our overeating epidemic and obesity related illnesses in 2008. We could all ride off cliffs and not cost this country anywhere close to that number. Where’s the myriad laws to prevent people from eating, like a calorie meter strapped to your wrist. Look out! Just leave us freedom lovin’ bikers alone.–Bandit

GARAGE GIRLS BUILDING A BOBBER FOR A CURE–Jody Perewitz of Perewitz Cycle Fab, and Sara Liberte of RT’s North Hills Cycle are teaming up to build a “bobbah” motorcycle live on stage at three of the Northeast Motorcycle Expo shows produced by Kev-Marv Productions. Growing up as the daughter of icon motorcycle builder Dave Perewitz, Jody has been surrounded by motorcycles her whole life. It is no surprise that she has stepped into the limelight. Creating her own path in the industry, she has begun to mold her passion into some hot rides. In addition to designing and building motorcycles, Jody writes for the Perewitz blog, www.LifeAtPerewitz.com.
Her partner in crime for this year’s charity build-off, Sara Liberte, has been confidently designing and building motorcycles for the last 10 years. Sara also has an artistic side that has produced the book “How to Repair and Maintain American V-Twin Motorcycles” and numerous photographs. She is a phenomenal photographer who has been capturing images of motorcycles, builders, and events for years.
The two female builders will be working side by side to create a custom bike for charity. Stop by to meet Jody and Sara, see them working and be entertained by their humorous antics as they build the bobber for a cure. You might even end up the lucky owner of this classic hardtail as “Bikers for The Cure” will be on hand selling $10.00 tickets.
All proceeds will be going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. “This is something we are proud to be a part of, Bikers for The Cure are dedicated to helping out in the fight against Breast Cancer, and we are looking forward to meeting everyone coming out to the shows” stated the two builders. The motorcycle shows will be in Hartford, CT on January 5th-6th, Reading, PA on Jan 25th-27th, and Boston MA, on Feb. 9th-10th. Stop by and witness two of the newest and hottest builders as they construct a bike for charity. You won’t regret it, but you will if you miss it.

BIKERNET FARM REPORT– A Minnesota Department of Highways employee stopped at a farm and talked with an old farmer. He told the farmer, “I need to inspect your farm for a possible new road.”
The old farmer said, “OK, but don’t go in that field.”The Highways employee said, “I have the authority of the State of Minnesota to go where I want. See this card? I am allowed to go wherever I wish on farm land.”
So the old farmer went about his farm chores. Just a few minutes later, he heard loud screams and saw the Department of Highways employee running for the fence. Close behind was the farmer’s prize bull. The bull was madder than a nest full of hornets and the bull was gaining on the employee at every step.
The old farmer called out, “Show him your card, smartass!”

BIKERNET OPENS NEVADA BROTHEL IN TENNESSEE– In a small town in Tennessee, Biker named Bubba decides it’s time for his son, 14 year old Billy Bob, to learn the facts of life. He takes him to the local Sin Wu house of ill repute, which is fronted by a beauty parlor. Bubba introduces Billy Bob to the madam, and explains that it’s time for his indoctrination to manhood.
The madam says, ‘Bubba, you’ve been such a good customer over the years, I’m going to see to your son personally.’
So the madam takes Billy Bob by the hand and leads him upstairs where she completes his deflowering. Later, as they are walking downstairs the madam says, ‘Since this is your first time, I’m going to see that you get the full treatment before you leave, I’m going to give you a manicure too.’
Two weeks later Bubba and Billy Bob run into the Madam on the town’s main street.
Billy Bob is acting a little shy, so the madam smiles and says, ‘Well, Billy Bob, don’t you remember me?’
‘Yes, ma’am,’ he stammers. ‘You’re the lady that gave me the crabs and then cut off my fingernails so I couldn’t scratch ’em.’

FLORIDA’S HANDLEBAR HEIGHT RESTRICTION– I read Bish’s take on the history of biker’s rights with great interest. I came across this article while searching for information about handlebar height laws for Florida. I had recently installed ape hangers onto a pair of Joker Machine risers that when combined, cause the bars to extend probably 4″ or so above the top of my shoulders.
I had no idea that Florida statute prohibits bars above the shoulder until I was stopped just this past weekend in Cottondale, Florida by a local officer. It was quite a show, with overhead lights, siren and even the loudspeaker shouting for me to “pull it over” as the patrol car raced up to within several feet of my rear tire.
I was promptly treated to a citation for violating the handlebar height law and given my copy with a broad smile and the warning that I could be ticketed again and again . . . ..I suppose until I remove the handlebars.
Frankly, the incident seemed far more like a strong message to stay out of Cottondale, Florida than anything to do with my handlebars.
My question is the Bikernet’s opinion about the best way to go about repealing the Florida statute for handlebar height restrictions? I noticed that several states, including North and South Carolina, Arkansas, Kansas and others recently passed legislation that no longer imposes restrictions. Is there a source of good information that I can use to help convince a sponsor at the capitol to see things a little more clearly?

AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST ASSOCIATION SHAKE-UP–AMA CEO Rob Dingman is putting his personal stamp on the organization. Dingman dismissed three long-serving individuals, two employees and the AMA’s legal counsel, over the span of four days last week.
AMA legal counsel Tim Owen was the first to be dismissed. Owen was not an AMA employee, but he’d served the association for the past 17 years. Last Tuesday, December 4, Owen was called into Dingman’s office and told it was his “last day on the job.”
On Friday, two of the longest serving AMA employees were let go. Greg Harrison, senior vice president of membership and marketing, and Bill Wood, senior director of communications, were asked to leave the AMA headquarters at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7.
According to someone familiar with the dismissals, they “changed the locks, canned them and then ordered them escorted out of the building so they couldn’t talk to anyone.”Harrison had been with the AMA for 28 years. Much of that time was spent editing “American Motorcyclist,” the AMA’s magazine. The magazine was currently being edited by Wood, a 25-year AMA veteran.
The dismissals follow the departure of AMA board chairman Dal Smilie. Smilie left the organization last month. He’s told friends that it was done for family reasons, but others remain skeptical.
Attempts to reach both Wood and Harrison were unsuccessful. Harrison, through an intermediary, said he would have no comment at this time. Another magazine staff member also declined to comment through an intermediary. But several people within the organization said it was permeated by a culture of fear, with many other long-serving employees worried about their job security. The widespread belief is that anyone associated with the former management is being put on notice that it will no longer be business as usual.
“The AMA’s an institution, not an organization,” one longtime observer said. “I think they’re attempting to deinstitutionalize it by getting rid of anyone.”Attempts by Cycle News to reach AMA Vice President Director of Communications Kerry Graeber were unsuccessful.

BOURGET’S NEW FOUR-WHEELER INTRODUCTION– Bourget’s Bike Works introduces four-wheeler BEST known for its custom bikes, Bourget’s Bike Works chose the automotive specialist show SEMA to launch its 2008 model Shredder F-80. The Shredder F-80 is the industry’s first limited production V8 powered Quadracycle.
Bourget’s Bike Works suggests the Shredder provides the look and feel of an open riding position similar to a motorcycle, with the ride, performance and handling of a high-end sports-car. While it bridges the gap between two types of vehicle, it is designed to appeal to buyers wanting to ride a bike without the risk and worries of balancing on two wheels.
Features on the Shredder include Include a 375 hp, 350 cu.in. Fuel Injected Chevrolet engine, Turbo 350 transmission, Winters Quick Change rear end, Four wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel Brembo disc brakes, all carbon fiber body, and Bourget’s custom 17″ x12″ wheels with Avon 330 Tires.
“Building motorcycles has always been my passion, but after 15 years, I’d become a little bored and needed to challenge my creativity!” says Roger Bourget, President of Bourget’s Bike Works, Inc. “Not everyone who wants one of my bikes is a super experienced rider, able to balance, corner & shift in perfect time. After numerous customer requests I experimented with building Trikes, but, that wasn’t getting me excited! I’d been wanting to build a Quadracycle for some time and now after 3 years of racking my brain and hard work, I’m excited!
“The Shredder F-80 is fully automatic, fully balanced on 4 wheels, and can be leisurely cruised or performance ridden. The Quadracycle can be customized to the rider just like my bikes. You can build it with a fuel efficient 4-cylinder Eco-Tech for cruising on up to a 625 hp Brodix small block for an experienced, performance driven buyer. The Shredder F-80 should get people excited about motorcycles again.”
“Regardless of your riding experience, your age, or your gender the Shredder F-80 will move you to the next level of performance, comfort, stability and quality. Bourget’s is currently in the beginning stages of developing the Quadracycle Shredder F-80 with an electric motor. We may be going green before you know it!”

BIKERNET INVITED TO2008 MastersAugusta National Golf ClubApril 7-14, 2008An Invitation from Benjamin Abrams, PGA–You are cordially invited to join me and my golf professional colleagues at the 2008 Masters. The Masters Tournament has for decades been considered the ultimate in ALL of the sports’ world. I have been fortunate to have experienced many fabulous places and events in the world of golf, and without hesitation I consider the Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club to be the very pinnacle of golf destinations. The Masters, as most of you know, was started by golfing legend Bobby Jones in 1934. It has captured a place in the imagination of all of us that love this great game. Strolling those magnificent grounds in person will immediately show you why television does not do the course justice, much less the intensity of the tournament itself.

It seems WalMart is making big moves to toss the smaller magazines off their racks. In case you didn’t know, WalMart sells as much as 30% of many magazine’s total newsstand sales. They want the magazine wholesalers to stop shipping almost half the magazine titles they are now receiving. As best I can gather, WalMart’s cut out half the motorcycle magazines. Our American Iron Magazine and RoadBike are fine, but we hear WalMart has cut off the following magazine completely:American Rider, IronWorks, Ride Texas, Rider, Hot Bike Bagger, Robb Report Motorcycling, Motorcycle Classics, Motorcycle Cruiser, Street Chopper, Cycle World Specials and Iron Horse. Things could get tough for these magazines without being able to sell in WalMarts. And right before the holidays! –Buzz Kanter Another publisher in the industry, Jeff Tinnion, pointed out that Hot Bike Bagger has not been removed and Street Chopper was reduced to a bi-annual (twice a year) publication. BIKERNET RACING PLANS FOR 2008– Glad Bikernet is planning to run Maxton next year. Running at Maxton is a bit different than Bonneville (basically a mile long drag race on a, not so smooth, course with a slight curve at the start). Holiday Hey,
What a Holiday Season. It’s bananas. We just shipped out all our Bonneville Sponsor Boxes, over 50 of them. Next week we’ll ship another 50 Bikernet Christmas gift bags and somehow we’ll ship out Christmas presents and cards to almost 300.
This year we’re working with Chris Callen of Cycle Source magazine and some lucky Bikernet fans will receive a full year subscription to the fastest growing magazine in our industry. Chris is doing a helluva job.
I’m trying to find time to keep the Assalt Weapan progress moving. We are rapidly gathering data to perform a computer simulated wind tunnel test. I’m working with Kent Riches at Air Tech on another fairing. Plus Stew from Pegasus is ready with the Nitrous controller for the Pegasus fuel injection system. I’ll try to cover the install next week in a tech tip. Plus, I need to weigh the bike on some Catalina fish scales near the docks. I’ll keep you posted.
Let’s hit the news:
AFFORDABLE BOBBERS FROM DARWIN MOTORCYCLES– Affordable Bobbers from Darwin Motorcycles DARWIN Motorcycles has created a line of affordable bikes under the label Brass Ball Bobbers. The new machines are described by the company as “the above average bikes for the average Joe.”
The Oklahoma-based company was founded by motorcycle designer Dar Holdsworth and master builder Sam Wills (a former Top Fuel Bike builder, tuner and racer). The intention of Brass Balls Bobbers is to build high-caliber bobbers that are unique, and yet at the same time affordable.
“The reason we can deliver such a sharp and creative motorcycle at such competitive prices is because of the economies of scale that are built into our manufacturing process,” says Dar Holdsworth, Darwin Motorcycles President and Master Designer. He continued: “We feel that everyone who wants a custom bobber should get one, and we have built a bike that has everything that you need, and nothing that you don’t, at a smokin’ price.”
The range of three models are built at the company’s 10,000sq.ft. multi-purpose manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City, with the option of Harley-Davidson Evo, S&S Shovelhead or re-engineered Indian Power Plus engines. The H-D Evo engine is the firm’s value-priced engine.Engine choice is not the only option given to customers. The Brass Balls Bobbers website offers an online build option list that calculates the final build price depending on the fit and finish options selected by the customer. As Dar says: “We encourage our customers to be involved in the development of their bike using our ‘build your bike’ section on the website.”
Brass Balls Bobbers are federally licensed, Kelley Blue Book listed and warranted. “Somebody could own a Harley, or they could own a really unique Brass Balls Bobber, custom built yet manufactured with a VIN and everything,” says Dar.

TWO WOLVES, BIKERNET PHILOSOPHY LESSON–One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

WALL STREET UNDER ATTACK–I read a piece in the Sunday NY Times by Ben Stein (economist, lawyer, actor and writer). I thought the last paragraph was worth sharing with you (and other sites I frequent) as it echoes my feeling better than I could say.
–Buzz Kanter
“I will say it until the day I die: the military family is the marrow in the backbone of America. And if it seems that I am too upset about financial fraud, I would just like to say that I often cannot sleep at night seething that men and women are giving their lives of us in faraway places while a home their country is being plundered by men in $3,000 suits who get multimillion-dollar severance’s when they are caught.
How many military families lost homes because of predatory lending? I know of at least two, and that’s just in my little world. My resolution for 2008 is to keep plugging of the those “little people” who are a lot bigger than the hucksters on Wall Street.”

LEGEND OF THE BIKERNET FREEDOM BELL– Legend has it that Evil Road Spirits have been latching themselves on to motorcycles for as long as there have been scoots on the road. These nasty and evil spirits are responsible for bad luck.
The legend also sez that attaching a small bell onto your scoot, the Evil Road Spirits will become trapped inside the bell where the constant ringing drives them insane, making them lose their grip until they fall to the ground. (Ever wonder where potholes come from.) So we developed the Bikernet Freedom Bell to address the Evil Road Spirit issue.

BAGGERWORKS TO REVEAL 2008 KIDS & CHROME BIKE “THE DAKOTA”AT V-TWIN EXPO IN CINCINNATI–RAPID CITY, S.D. – A quote from Kurt Koffka, one of the founders of Gestalt psychology, in his book, Principles of Gestalt Psychology, says, “The whole is more than the sum of its parts.” Koffka was simply making an assertion that relationships between the elements or components of a system contribute to the nature of that system in a way that is separate from any contributions made by the elements.
That’s kind of “heady” stuff, but there are a few folks in the motorcycle industry that would agree, wholeheartedly, with Koffka’s statement. Just ask Tom Binyon. Binyon is the owner of BaggerWorks Custom Touring Motorcycles in Wichita, Kansas, and the builder of a one-off custom bagger, “The Dakota”, that will be the featured auction item at the 2008 Kids & Chrome benefit dinner and auction, which will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in Spearfish, SD during the 2008 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Binyon was introduced to Kids & Chrome during the 2007 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and was so impressed by the mission of Kids & Chrome, which is to enrich the outreach and programs provided by Children’s Home Society (the “Kids” in the foundation’s moniker) and Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame (the “Chrome”), that he contacted the Kids & Chrome Foundation to offer to donate his services on the build for 2008.
Binyon, along with Ted Sands, Vice President Sales & Marketing for Performance Machine and long-time friend and supporter of Kids & Chrome, and Jim Burgess, co-owner of Black Hills Harley-Davidson and Board President of Kids & Chrome Foundation, went to work to enlist partners to supply parts and components for the build.
A generous industry quickly responded. The one-off custom bagger’s list of components reads like a corporate whose-who of the motorcycle world. BaggerWorks is contributing a custom built frame by Rolling Thunder Frames, a Matt Risley fuel tank, a custom Perse Performance front end, a special Baker 250 RSD (right side drive) transmission, and a detachable front fairing from Kevin Evans, as well as many other components. Black Hills Harley-Davidson is building and contributing a fuel-injected Harley-Davidson 110″ TwinCam “B” engine, as well as many other Harley-Davidson components to the build. Performance Machine is contributing the wheels, brake systems, hand controls, and many other components from its Contour line. The bike will also feature a Legend Air suspension, a Vance & Hines custom exhaust, a Corbin FLH Bagset and rear fender, a Danny Gray seat, as well as numerous parts and accessories from Arlen Ness, Drag Specialties, Headwinds, Metzeler and others.
And, while the above-described “sum” of parts is pretty impressive, the “whole” will blow you away, as industry folks will see when the 2008 Kids & Chrome bike, The Dakota, is revealed in the lobby of the Duke Energy Center on the opening day of the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati the first weekend in February.
“This bike will undoubtedly be the showpiece of the Kids & Chrome benefit auction”, Burgess said. “Tom’s just done a phenomenal job on this build. We believe this bagger will be the ‘crown jewel’ of the Kids & Chrome auction. It will make a huge contribution toward helping our kids at the Children’s Home Society, as well as our friends at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum, and that’s what this is all about.”
Through its fundraising efforts, Kids & Chrome provides the Children’s Home Society with funding to support a home, school, and therapy for children, primarily ages 4 to 13, with emotional or behavioral problems. Most are victims of severe abuse and/or neglect. CHS also provides foster care, adoption services, and emergency shelter services for children who are victims of domestic violence. Additionally, Kids & Chrome provides funds to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum, established in 2001, to underwrite new museum exhibits and further archiving efforts in order to continue its mission of preserving the great history of motorcycling and honoring the men and women who have advanced the sport and lifestyle.
For a sneak preview of the 2008 Kids & Chrome Bike “The Dakota” by BaggerWorks, or for more information on the 4th Kids & Chrome benefit dinner and auction held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, during the 2008 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at the Spearfish Holiday Inn & Convention Center, Spearfish, SD, go to www.kidsandchrome.com. JASON SPILLERS RETURNS TO RC COMPONENTS– After being with J&P Cycles for a year, Jason Spillers has returned to RC Components where he has taken the role of VP Sales & Marketing. During his previous employment at RC Components, between 2002 and 2006, he was Director of Sales & Marketing, before moving to take on the position of Director of Operations (Florida) at J&P Cycles, Destination Daytona.
In his new role Jason will be joining Eric Morton (VP of Operations) and Rick Ball, RC founder, to make up the senior leadership team. Jason’s new role will include full responsibility for the Sales, Dealer Development, Marketing, Web Development, New Product Development and R&D teams.
Speaking about his return to RC Components Jason says: “It was really tough to leave J & P Cycles, but RC Components is where my heart has always truly been. I am fortunate to have been here through good times and bad, and have been a part of RC’s unparalleled growth in the industry and rise to the top. It was hard to keep my mind on other ventures when my heart was still with this one. J & P Cycles was a spectacular company to work for, and John and Jill Parham are just remarkable people whom I wish all the best. I publicly thank them for the opportunity.”
Also in 2008, RC Components will be substantially increasing its product offering with Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited. “Before leaving in late 2006, I had just begun our partnership with Drag Specialties. It has proved to be one of our most exciting new ventures to date. There is so much opportunity there, and Drag is likely the most well-run company in the motorcycle industry. I am pleased to pick up with them where I left off and look forward to our future growth together.” Jason said.

Over 1,100 exhibitors from all over the world are expected to attend the fair, where they will be presenting the entire spectrum of products associated with the fascination of two-wheelers. The significance of INTERMOT Cologne as an important international business platform was underlined by the large contingents of specialist dealers from Germany and abroad. The number of trade visitors rose by more than 15 percent to 52,363 (2004: 45,306).
The share of the trade visitors who came from abroad also increased, rising by 10 per cent to the record figure of 37 per cent. Moreover, INTERMOT Cologne 2006 was an event for decision-makers, as was made impressively clear by analyses of a visitor survey.

HELLO AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS, THE KOSHOLLEKS HOPE 2007 WAS A TERRIFIC YEAR FOR EVERYONE– I’m happy to say our health has been very good the last 12-months and we’ve been able to spend more quality time with friends and family. We feel very lucky to enjoy the work we do and I’m proud to report Theresa tripled the real estate business she did last year (I always knew she’d be a great Realtor).
The big news is that we added a new member to the family – ELVIS, a 14-month old English Bull Terrier. We adopted him in August and we’ve been “learning” each other ever since. He’s quite the character and true to being a teenager, is full of energy, curious about everything and mischievous to a fault (He’s done about $1000 in damages so far). He loves Xena, our tough little Jack Russell, who throws him down and shows him who the real boss dog is (Sounds like Theresa and I, doesn’t it?).
Theresa and I both feel our lives are blessed and we sincerely wish yours is also full of good cheer, great achievement and the very best of health and happiness.
Your Friends, the Kosholleks; Theresa, Xena, Elvis & Dave
SANTA’S HELPER NEEDS HELP– Santa’s little helper needs a little support staying warm and safe on those day trips or blasts to the local watering hole. Bandit has just the ticket, a Torian Chopper Leathers’ old school jacket.
The Torian Race Hoodie is Bikernet’s #1 seller and comes in midnight black and is constructed of the softest naked-leather available today.
Buy your sweetie something she will remember for years. Get her a Race Hoodie and she will be rewarding Santa all year long.

NEW DELIVERS THE NIPPLES–Here’s more nipples for ya! hahaha!Sometimes these bikes are in competitions etc., so I would like to get the builder’s permission before I even post them onto my website….Last year I was offered $$$$ to show one builder what another builder was doing.Naturally I wouldn’t tell…Chocolate might have even done it, but ya know…I’m a vault….
I’m also putting old-school tattoos on the thing-ma-bobs (pan-heads?) above the motor…I’ll shoot ya a few pictures after I talk to him.
Yes, he was actually pretty happy that I would pass the photos on….Do you know Duncan from Lucky Charm Choppers? Not sure which are the best shots…here’s a few…

RUSTY’S BAND CORRECTION–Rustys band “Attika” will be playing on the 22nd, Saturday nite at Gallaghers in downtown Huntington Beach at 300 coast hwy where the old Golden Bear was located.
THE HOLIDAY NEWS SCRAMBLE ENDS–But look out for next year. My list is already growing for January. First on the list is the Sturgis Rider Live talk show due to be shot at the Bikernet Headquarters.
This is a shot of their last show. Each show is produced by Charlie Brechtal and aired on Sturgis Rider Live.com plus they will be aired in the Bikernet Studio. It’s like Jay Leno for bikers with Charlie’s Blues Band Playing in the background, guests, and an old fart host, me. Good god.
Our guests for this wild extravaganza at the Bikernet Headquarters include the mastermind behind the Buffalo Chip facility in Sturgis, Woody, and the mastermind behind the World’s Fastest Panhead engine, Berry Wardlaw. Also on the show we will feature Gard Hollinger the Biker-Build-Off dragracing competitor with the fastest motorcycle, but he lost, with footage of the run, and highlights of the parts he designs at LA ChopRods. Then I get to interview one of the Sturgis Rider Live girls. There’s a competition. Charlie searched high and low to find a model that was truly reminiscent of the Chris Kallas girl painted on the front fender of the Assalt Weapan. You’ll see photographs of the feature.
Also featured will be Bill Hayes, the man who wrote the Book history of the Booze Fighters. He’s the most articulate biker on the planet and just finished another book about outlaws and our lifestyle. And finally we have the privilege to interview the mystery, executive editor, of Hot Bike Magazine, Eric Ellis. He’s worked for HOT BIKE for 15 years and only left his computer twice. Once when he got married. This will be the third time, when he rides to our Wilmington Ghetto with the Hot Bike team.
And so the new year will kick off to a bang. Hang on. Next week will be packed with a wild Girls of Bikernet feature from Sturgis Rider Live, another Green bike, Pegasus install and I’m going to attempt to write a Cantina Drama segment. Got any wild barroom stories? Ya never know.
One mo’ thing. We have hired a copy editor, Charlene Green, and it makes my day to work with her. No matter how many times I read my crummy copy, I miss shit. She doesn’t miss a goddamn thing. So at least my stories will be cleaner.
Ride Forever,

MEMO FROM THE BIKENET BOOT REPAIR SHOP– A woman went into a bar in Waco and saw a cowboy with his feet propped up on a table. He had the biggest boots she’d ever seen.
The woman asked the cowboy if it’s true what they say about men with big feet are well endowed.
The cowboy grinned and said, “Shore is, little lady. Why don’t you come on out to the bunkhouse and let me prove it to you?”
The woman wanted to find out for herself, so she spent the night with him.
The next morning she handed him a $100 bill.
Blushing, he said, “Well, thankee, ma’am. Ah’m real flattered. Ain’t nobody ever paid me fer mah services before.”
“Don’t be flattered. Take the money and buy yourself some boots that fit.”

Fortunately for the good of all of us, most of the news is damn positive. If nothing else life is non-stop changing and exciting. It’s moving too fast, but what the hell, climb into the kitchen and start cookin’ or stand in a fuckin’ bread line. Okay, so I’m not Indian Larry, but me and a handful of other biker mag journalists had a blast riding Sucker Punch Sally bikes. This is their new Swingarm model, called the Swinger. I’m about to launch the report, but I need to finish my Bonneville Book for Wolfgang Publishing, scramble to the IMS show this weekend in Long Beach. Then there’s the Moon Eyes Christmas Party on Saturday and the David Mann Old School Show in Ventura on Sunday. I’ve got some other fantastic plans for ’08, but I need to finalize the details before we spill our guts. Oh, and tomorrow Hiwayman and I will fight traffic across LA to the Northridge University Campus and get a tour of a wind tunnel from Stew, the mastermind behind Pegasus Fuel Injection. I can’t wait. I’ll report back. Ride Forever, –Bandit

MOTORCYCLE HALL OF FAMERS AND FORMER RACING ACES TRADE STORIES–The Q&A panel featured American Iron Magazine and RoadBike publisher Buzz Kanter, past Formula One National Champion Mike Baldwin, expert dirt track motorcycle racer Mark Zimmerman, and Rod Pink, who was a national ranked professional dirt track motorcycle racer in the years the movie was made.
Panelists shared stories about their experiences racing from broken collarbones to scraping together the money to drive their passions. They also spoke about the state of motorcycle racing today and the differences between spectatorship in the U.S. and in Europe.
The movie was presented by the Stamford Museum & Nature Center in conjunction with its exhibit, The Motorcycle, Italian Style: Riding the Curves with MV Agusta.

BIKERNET UNIVERSITY HISTORIC ANCEDOTE–How times don’t change. Plato (427-347 BCE) on politicians (though not just politicians):
“If one sins against the laws of proportion and gives something too big to something too small to carry it–too big sails to too small a ship, too big meals to too small a body, too big powers to too small a soul – the result is bound to be a complete upset. In an outburst of hubris the overfed body will rush into sickness, while the jack-in-office will rush into the unrighteousness that hubris always breeds.”
A Slovenian proverb: “Speak the truth, but leave immediately afterwards.”

THE ANSWER TO MAN’S DEEPEST QUESTS– ALBUQUERQUE – Men have been trying to figure out women forever, and now University of New Mexico researchers say you don’t have look much farther than the female nose for answers.
A male scent and a woman’s subconscious response are at the root of trail-blazing research into human sexuality generating surprising and occasionally controversial discoveries.
UNM scientists say tests show that at certain times in women’s menstrual cycles, they have a subconscious preference for certain kinds of men.The biological research shows women go into heat just like animals. That’s right, everything from lady seals to lady porcupines
“Our findings are most important findings about human sexuality in a long time,” UNM biologist Dr. Randy Thornhill said.Thornhill said that heat doesn’t have anything to do with libido.New Mexico researchers claim that when a woman is fertile she doesn’t get more interested in sex, she just gets more discriminating.
“The discovery involves research we’ve done to look specifically at women’s change in preference across the menstrual cycle,” Thornhill said.
The research started with T-shirts scientists gave to men of different characteristics to wear for two nights.”And you give them special soap that doesn’t have scent in it and ask them not to smoke and have sex and use foods that are known to effect body odor to try to control the body odor that these men emit,” Thornhill said. The T-shirts were then bagged and frozen to preserve the smell of each man on each shirt.
Women in different stages of their menstrual cycle were then asked to rate the sexiness of the smell of each anonymous shirt.”What they show is a very selective kind of sexual preference or set of preferences when they’re fertile in the menstrual cycle,” the researcher said.
That preference is for the smell of men with specific kinds of faces and bodies. According to the research, this is what fertile women preferred.
“They like the body scent of testosterone-related factors in men,” Thornhill said. “It has to do with features of the lower face.
“Men’s faces are longer; that’s due to testosterone effects. Men’s faces are wider. They like the body scent of men who are socially dominant.”
Not necessarily bigger but equal in size on both sides of the body.”So women in estrus like the scent, the body scent of men, who are symmetric.”
KRQE News 13 took the results to the UNM campus and got reaction ranging from laughter to “I think it could be true” to “Is this a real study?” –Rogue BARNETT’S MAGAZINE SPECIAL TO SHOWCASE THE AMD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF CUSTOM BIKE BUILDING–Barnett’s Magazine has confirmed details of a special issue which will showcase the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building. Ever mindful of the congregation, they knew the dog must also be a Baptist. They visited kennel after kennel and explained their needs. Finally, they found a kennel whose owner assured them he had just the dog they wanted. The owner brought the dog to meet the pastor and his wife. “Fetch the Bible,” he commanded. The dog bounded to the bookshelf, scrutinized the books, located the Bible, and brought it to the owner. Now find Psalm 23,” he commanded. The dog dropped the Bible to the floor, and showing marvelous dexterity with his paws, leafed through and finding the correct passage, pointed to it with his paw. The pastor and his wife were very impressed and purchased the dog. That evening, a group of church members came to visit. The e pastor and his wife began to show off the dog, having him locate several Bible verses. The visitors were very impressed. One man asked, “Can he do regular dog tricks, too?” “I haven’t tried yet,” the pastor replied. He pointed his finger at the dog. “HEEL!” the pastor commanded. The dog immediately jumped on a chair, placed one paw on the pastor’s forehead and began to howl. The pastor looked at his wife in shock and said, “Good Lord! He’s Pentecostal!” –from Rev CarlR BIKERNET OPENS A NEW DEPARTMENT DEDICATED TO METRIC MARVELS– My name is Chuck Shortt, I’m the owner of Rocky Mountain Custom Bikes in Colorado. You and I have met through Ray Wheeler a very close and long time friend of mine at one of the rallies we we’re at. He called me today and explained your new venture of a metric division in your company. He didn’t know much about what you will be doing and any real details but wanted me to contact you about it. I’m interested in finding out about this and would like to learn more. Ray may of told you a little about me but I’ve had a long time involvement (25 years) in the bike industry. I’ve owned 2 motorcycle businesses, sold one and am still operating one with great success. In fact you had one of our bikes on your front page of Bikernet a couple of weeks ago—The Black Victory Custom Bagger. As well I’ve had a strong presence in the metric cruiser and sport bike industry in my career. I’ve road raced, done the Salt Flats thing, been up the Pikes Peak hill climb, raced the AMA Daytona 200, built and fabricated one off parts as well as built custom metric bikes tell the cows came home and the list goes on. Just about every word out of my mouth has something to do with a motorcycle. So if you can get away and would be interested in talking with me, I would be very interested in your future plans. –Chuck Shortt WILDWIND MOTORCYCLE TOURS OFFERS SUPER BOWL SPECIAL– SEDONA, AZ-WildWind kicks off Super Bowl Week, January 27 to February 3, with a special series of custom rides sure to get this party started. Their mission: Raise money and collect toys for thousands of needy Brevard County kids. About half the toys go the Shriners for distribution and the rest go to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Cocoa Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies. “I do it every year,” said Merritt Island resident Randall Bryner, who was driving his newly purchased Tuk Tuk, a three-wheeled motorized taxi from Thailand. “I like the cause and I love the ride.” The ride: From the Merritt Square Mall, they cruised west on State Road 520, then south on U.S. 1 through Cocoa, Rockledge and Melbourne, arriving at the Wickham Park Pavilion about two hours later. Sheriff’s deputies and local police escorted the riders and provided traffic control, blocking every intersection for a 20-plus mile stretch and keeping everybody off southbound U.S. 1 that wasn’t riding a motorcycle with a toy strapped to its handlebars, sissy bar or saddle bags.Gary Burton of ABATE of Brevard estimated the crowd at 4,700 to 5,000 bikers.near Rockledge Gardens onU.S. 1. To those motorists and commuters who complain about the inconvenience, Dave Eddins of Merritt Island said: “Get a life. It’s two hours out of the year. It happens every year. Plan around it.” People lined up at intersections and parking lots along U.S. 1, waving and cheering the bikers on.About 100 bikers were at the Bourbon House to cheer their riding brethren. And at Florida Memorial Gardens, a group of family and friends of Brad Buchweitz waved to the riders. Buchweitz died a year ago Sunday in a motorcycle accident — the day before he was to ride in last year’s Toy Run. Last year, ABATE of Florida estimated 6,000 motorcycles carried 10,000 bikers and passengers, who donated $4,000 and several truckloads of toys on their 25th annual Toy Run. This year, they collected an estimated 20,000 toys, from people like Charlotte Henry of Titusville. She brought an armful of toys to the Azan Shriners’ collection dropoff at Wickham Park. “It’s building on itself,” said Henry, an ABATE volunteer. “It’s an annual community event. It’s people working with people to make it better for needy children.” BY JEFF SCHWEERSFLORIDA TODAY –Rogue
