/EIN News/ — New Jersey, NJ, Sept. 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Increase in threat of diseases in livestock and growing preference towards meat and dairy products are two major driving forces of the market. The global driving protection gear market is expected to grow from USD 8.23 Billion in 2018 to USD 12.34 Billion by 2026 at a CAGR of 5.2% during the forecast period 2019-2026, according to the new report published by Fior Markets.
Driving protection gears are accessories and equipment which aim to protect the people from harm while driving. Protective clothing may include certain types of jackets, gloves, boots, and pants. The increasing rate of accidents and mishaps has led to improving driving safety due to which the government has made it mandatory to wear personal protective equipment such as protective clothing and helmets. Additionally, functional refurbishments including weather resistance besides optimal safety are also generating the need for such accessories.
Growing concerns regarding road safety is a major factor driving the market. In addition, rising motorsports popularity and increasing demand for superbikes across the world has also influenced the demand. However, severe competition for driving apparels from the unorganized sector is restraining the growth of the market. Nevertheless, innovations and advancements in the manufacturing processes to obtain protection gears utilizing innovative technologies are expected to drive the growth of the market in forthcoming years.

5 Seattle-area motorcycle dealerships close unexpectedly
By Wayfarer | | General Posts
by Suzanne Phan from KOMO News
SEATTLE – Five motorcycle dealerships in the Puget Sound region closed unexpectedly last week and now customers are scrambling to figure out how to get their bikes back.
The NobleRush dealerships include two in Lake City, one in Redmond and two in Auburn.
Employees have even been working without pay to help out their loyal customers.
On Tuesday afternoon, several people were at a Seattle dealership with trailers to tow away their motorcycles. One man paid for repairs before they were finished.
Another motorcycle owner, Tim Nelson, was worried about his motorcycle when he got no answer from Ducati Redmond for the past week. At one point he thought, “I’m going to call the police because it’s being held captive there, basically.”
His motorcycle was at the business for service when word got out about the closures.
“I didn’t even know it had happened until I read it on Facebook,” said Nelson.
Nelson and others are left wondering where to go next.
“It’s hard enough to get a Ducati serviced. But now, with even fewer places to take it, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” said Nelson.
“This affects a lot of people,” added Tom Mehren.
Mehren is the publisher of “Sound Rider”, a monthly online motorcycle magazine.
“I feel bad for the 100+ of people that lost their jobs; I feel bad for the motorcycling community,” said Mehren.
None of the customers got an explanation by phone or online about why the five shops suddenly closed.
“It happened abruptly. You went on the website. There’s nothing on there that said, ‘sorry, we’re out of business,’ ” said Mehren.
We reached out to the owner for comment but got no response.
“We had somebody that owned too many motorcycle shops who did not understand the dynamics of the business,” said Mehren.
For now, many customers are worried, others are stuck.
“Some people are worse off than me. They paid cash for their motorcycles and don’t have them,” said Nelson.
Several customers said Tuesday that employees came in on their own time to help customers pick up their bikes and merchandise.

‘No Climate Emergency’: MIT Climate Expert, 500 Prominent Global Experts Write In Letter To UN
By Bandit | | General Posts

In a letter to Secretary General Guterres, 500 scientists are now requesting that the UN end the hysteria and return to rational dialogue.
===============================================================
There is no climate crisis
An open letter to the UN Secretary General
More than 500 prominent scientists from all over the world, among them distinguished MIT climate scientist Prof. Richard Lindzen, are urging the Secretary-General of the United Nations for a further, de-politicised discussion of the climate issue, in which alternative scientific views are also given a voice.
A UN climate meeting will be held in New York on 23 September. To this end, CLINTEL has sent two registered letters, one to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, and one to the Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, together with the text of the European Climate Declaration (see below).
This also includes the explicit request to organize a joint meeting with world-class scientists. The letter follows:
The general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose. Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering of trillions on the basis of results from such immature models. Current climate policies pointlessly, grievously undermine the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to affordable, continuous electrical power.
We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation.
We also invite you to organize with us a constructive high-level meeting between world-class scientists on both sides of the climate debate early in 2020. The meeting will give effect to the sound and ancient principle no less of sound science than of natural justice that both sides should be fully and fairly heard.
Please let us know your thoughts about such a joint meeting.
There is no climate emergency
A global network of 500 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate polities should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation.
Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming
The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming. Only very few peer-reviewed papers even go so far as to say that recent warming is chiefly anthropogenic.
Warming is far slower than predicted
The world has warmed at less than half the originally-predicted rate, and at less than half the rate to be expected on the basis of net anthropogenic forcing and radiative imbalance. It tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.
Climate policy relies on inadequate models
Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as policy tools. Moreover, they most likely exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial.
CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth
CO2 is not a pollutant. It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crop worldwide.
Global warming has not increased natural disasters
There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent. However, CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly. For instance, wind turbines kill birds and bats, and palm-oil plantations destroy the biodiversity of the rainforests.
Policy must respect scientific and economic realities
There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, we will have ample time to reflect and adapt. The aim of international policy should be to provide reliable and affordable energy at all times, and throughout the world.
Our advice to political leaders is that science should strive for a significantly better understanding of the climate system, while politics should focus on minimizing potential climate damage by prioritizing adaptation strategies based on proven and affordable technologies.

Camel sits on Florida woman, who bites its testicles to free herself
By Bandit | | General Posts
A deputy said the couple had been provoking the camel and cited them for a leash law violation.
GROSSE TETE, La. (AP) — A camel at a truck stop petting zoo is now going to be known for its other humps.
According to Iberville Parish Sheriff’s officials, a Florida woman’s husband was throwing treats to their dog under a camel’s barbed-wire fence. The dog went into the enclosure, so the woman crawled in to retrieve it. Tiger Truck Stop, near Baton Rouge, keeps Caspar the camel as an attraction.
When the 600-pound camel sat on her, the woman bit the camel’s testicles to free herself. She was taken to a hospital.

NATIONAL HUNTING AND FISHING DAY
By Bandit | | General Posts
On Saturday, September 28, the National Rifle Association of America and its members will celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day to honor the commitment of our country’s sportsmen to wildlife conservation and to promote the continued enjoyment of our outdoor heritage for generations to come.
On May 2, 1972, President Richard Nixon signed the first National Hunting and Fishing Day proclamation, declaring, “I urge all our citizens to join with outdoor sportsmen in the wise use of our natural resources and ensuring their proper management for the benefit of future generations.” Since then, Americans have celebrated National Hunting and Fishing Day on the fourth Saturday of every September.
“In addition to being a genuinely thrilling adventure, hunting brings us closer to nature and teaches us core values that enrich our lives,” said Joe DeBergalis, executive director, NRA General Operations. “Families struggling to unplug from cell phones and video games should consider spending a weekend outdoors. Time spent hunting or fishing, which doesn’t have to cost much, is an opportunity for mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandparents to pass down the core values of patience, honor, determination, and accomplishment.”
Hunters, anglers and target shooters in the United States contribute nearly $1.75 billion annually to conservation through the purchase of licenses, excise taxes paid on hunting and fishing equipment and ammunition, and contributions to various conservation organizations.
“If you’re able to do so, be sure to get out and participate in our great American traditions of hunting and fishing,” said DeBergalis. “Take this opportunity to introduce someone to the great outdoors.”
