HOT ROD ENGINE DEAL OF THE WEEK— Lizette from All American Wheel has eight of these engines, for sale. They’ve never been used and are still in their precious crates. Call her for the skinny.
S&S V111 Black and chrome with assembled Black and chrome with 546 cam and Delphi fuel injection system $5600.00 (Item # 310-0632)
The V111 is a great all-around performance/touring engine for carbureted 1984-’99 Harley-Davidson® big twins and it’s a great choice for custom bikes built with this popular chassis style.
The V111 engine is designed for torque more than top end horsepower. The short 41/8″ stroke is equal to the large 41/8″ bore, which minimizes vibration. The relatively low lift S&S 585 cam and the single coil Sidewinder® valve springs minimize valve train noise. A smooth, quiet, torque engine is ideal for touring applications where vibration and noise can get old on a long ride, and a loaded bagger pulling a trailer can overtax a stock engine.
Fitment
* 1984–’99 carbureted chassis
Features and Benefits
* Short stroke produces less vibration and longer engine life
* S&S 585 cam and lightweight single coil Sidewinder® valve
springs reduce valve train noise

(December 20, 2016) – Country music superstar act Big & Rich will be the headlining entertainment at the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) second-ever inauguration charity event benefiting Musicians On Call. The hit duo will perform their set at the 9:30 Club the evening of the presidential inauguration on Friday, January 20, 2017.
Comprised of Big Kenny and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner John Rich, Big & Rich have exerted a definitive gravitational pull to the direction modern country music has taken. Known as “America’s Technicolor cowboys,” Big & Rich have made a career of being relatable and musically relevant since exploding into the public consciousness in 2003. Their 2004 debut studio album Horse of a Different Color shot to RIAA triple-Platinum and included smash hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” while their latest album Gravity scored three back-to-back-to-back Top Ten country hits with “Look at You,” “Run Away With You,” and “Lovin’ Lately” featuring Tim McGraw. Meanwhile, their hit “Comin’ to Your City” is nearing a decade as the theme song for ESPN’s College GameDay.
“Musicians On Call brings the healing power of music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities nationwide,” said Pete Griffin, President of Musicians On Call. “We are so grateful for RIAA’s long term support of our mission and to be the charitable beneficiary of Big & Rich’s performance in Washington, DC.”

BEAN’RE COMING TO THE V-TWIN EXPO– Breaking a Guinness World record AND being a part of Aidan’s Posse.
Some of you remember me breaking a world record 2 years ago by riding a 50cc mini bike from Louisville, KY to Sturgis, SD. It was a distance of 1,470 miles and took nine days. Since then that record has been broke by about 100 miles so it was only natural that I attempt it one more time.
Hang on for this attempt. I will be riding with my friend Tim Ford. No, we won’t be riding on the same minibike. We will each have our own stock Yamaha 50cc minibikes. We also will be riding together unassisted in that we will NOT have a chase vehicle the whole way. That is the plan, however according to Guinness rules, it makes no difference whether or not a support team is incorporated.
More exciting news we decided to make it coast to coast. Yes, that’s right, we’re going to ride from Daytona Beach Florida (the day after Bike Week) to San Diego, California, on back roads, a distance of 3000 miles.
We are also going to do this for one of the greatest causes ever. Aidan Jack Seeger and The Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation. On this ride we will spread the message about what ALD is and to advocate for ALD newborn screening in every state.
You’ll have a chance to quiz the man and check out his bike at the V-Twin Expo, the only show of its kind in Cincinnati, January 28 and 29. And we will follow his efforts on Bikernet.

NEWS FROM KENTUCKY–
This morning I was alerted by our friends at the Kentucky Motorcycle Association that they are facing issues concerning toll roads for three of the five bridges that connect Louisville, KT and Southern Indiana via the Ohio River.
In the spring of this year, a panel decided that they will initiative “RiverLink” in 2017 which will require tolls for any vehicle that uses it. It is an entirely electronic system meaning there are no toll booths. Instead, vehicles must have a transponder which will automatically charge a fee. For motorcycles and other two-axel vehicles, that charge is $2.
From my understanding, many motorcycles face issues with these transponders – from them being exposed to the elements to functionality when used on a motorcycle.
Members of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association will be meeting with State officials in 2017 to discuss this issue to raise concerns and ask for either an exemption for motorcycles or a reduced rate. However, they are looking for support from other SMROs that have faced similar issues.
They are interested in hearing how you addressed the issue in your state and what the final outcome was as well as any information you can provide to them to help them make their point.
Please contact Megan Ekstrom via phone (202-552-7435) or via email Megan@mrf.org if you would be willing to share your experience in dealing with similar types of issues.
This is part of the reason why the MRF exists, folks – lets help out our fellow bikers!

Is there federal money involved? If so, the legislation that the MRF sponsored and passed could help. As I recall, HOV lanes require free passage of motorcycles. However, toll roads are a much different animal. If it is a state sponsored toll road, the local SMRO better get active.

BIKERNET GIFT IDEAS FOR THE HOLIDAYS–
This is an article submitted to a 1999 Louisville Sentinel contest to find
out who had the wildest Christmas dinners. It won first prize.
As a joke, my brother Jay used to hang a pair of panty hose over his
fireplace before Christmas. He said all he wanted was for Santa to fill
them.
What they say about Santa checking the list twice must be true because
every Christmas morning, although Jay’s kids’ stockings overflowed, his
poor pantyhose hung sadly empty.
One year I decided to make his dream come true. I put on sunglasses and
went in search of an inflatable love doll. They don’t sell those things at
Wal-Mart. I had to go to an adult bookstore downtown.
If you’ve never been in an X-rated store, don’t go, you’ll only confuse
yourself. I was there an hour saying things like, ‘What does this do?’
‘You’re kidding me!’ ‘Who would buy that?’ Finally, I made it to the
inflatable doll section.
I wanted to buy a standard, uncomplicated doll that could also substitute
as a passenger in my truck so I could use the car pool lane during rush
hour.
Finding what I wanted was difficult. ‘Love Dolls’ come in many different
models. The top of the line, according to the side of the box, could do
things I’d only seen in a book on animal husbandry. I settled for ‘Lovable
Louise.’ She was at the bottom of the price scale.
To call Louise a ‘doll’ took a huge leap of imagination.
On Christmas Eve and with the help of an old bicycle pump, Louise came to
life.
My sister-in-law was in on the plan and let me in during the wee morning
hours. Long after Santa had come and gone, I filled the dangling pantyhose
with Louise’s pliant legs and bottom. I also ate some cookies and drank
what remained of a glass of milk on a nearby tray. I went home, and
giggled for a couple of hours.
The next morning my brother called to say that Santa had been to his house
and left a present that had made him VERY happy, but had left the dog
confused. She would bark, start to walk away, then come back and bark some
more.
We all agreed that Louise should remain in her pantyhose so the rest of
the family could admire her when they came over for the traditional
Christmas dinner.
My grandmother noticed Louise the moment she walked in the door. ‘What the
hell is that?’ she asked.
My brother quickly explained, ‘It’s a doll.’
‘Who would play with something like that?’ Granny snapped.
I kept my mouth shut.
‘Where are her clothes?’ Granny continued.
‘Boy, that turkey sure smells nice, Gran,’ Jay said, to steer her into the
dining room.
But Granny was relentless. ‘Why doesn’t she have any teeth?’
Again, I could have answered, but why would I? It was Christmas and no one
wanted to ride in the back of the ambulance saying, ‘Hang on Granny, hang
on!’
My grandfather, a delightful old man with poor eyesight, sidled up to me
and said, ‘Hey, who’s the naked gal by the fireplace?’ I told him she was
Jay’s friend.
A few minutes later I noticed Grandpa by the mantel, talking to Louise.
Not just talking, but actually flirting. It was then that we realized this
might be Grandpa’s last Christmas at home.
The dinner went well. We made the usual small talk about who had died, who
was dying, and who should be killed, when suddenly Louise made a noise
like my father in the bathroom in the morning. Then she lurched from the
mantel, flew around the room twice, and fell in a heap in front of the
sofa. The cat screamed. I passed cranberry sauce through my nose, and
Grandpa ran across the room, fell to his knees, and began administering
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
My brother fell back over his chair and wet his pants.
Granny threw down her napkin, stomped out of the room, and sat in the car.
It was indeed a Christmas to treasure and remember.
Later in my brother’s garage, we conducted a thorough examination to
decide the cause of Louise’s collapse. We discovered that Louise had
suffered from a hot ember to the back of her right thigh.
Fortunately, thanks to a wonder drug called duct tape, we restored her to
perfect health..
I can’t wait until next Christmas.

THE CLIMATE CALAMITY REPORT–
It appears to me that CARB has its eyes set on ridding CA of motorcycles in favor of all electric vehicles just as it has set its sights on diesel trucks. The time for use of coordination is now before any regulations become final—and I have not verified that they haven’t been made final. My instincts are that they are still in the development stages, which is where local governments should be involved.
Yesterday I attended a water-control board hearing for my two clients, the Roseville trucking company and the Tracy dairyman and I was astounded by the local elected officials who testified, almost begging, the Board not to impose the restriction that will ruin their economy—–when they should be demanding coordination (a rule of law).
California is a hardnosed state, witness its determination in legislature to be a sanctuary state and to fight Trump on every step of the staircase. But, it can be stopped in INDIVIDUAL CASES WHERE the right process is followed.
My client was fined $800,000, but after three hearings, I got it down to $31,000 where I recommended they settle because of the cost to me in fees of winning the case outright.
My dairyman is almost free of the contempt citation that he was faced with when I entered my pro hac vice appearance. I am confident now that I can save his dairy and keep him from contempt.
The first was a victim of CARB and the second the Water Control Board, the two most autocratic of the agencies.

FIRST-EVER COMIC CON CRUISE nearly sold out as new celebrity guest announced–
Fans of comic conventions are planning to take to the high-seas aboard Fan2Sea, and with the cruise nearly sold out, organizers suggest those who are still wishing to embark should book now.
According to Flying Dutchmen Travel, the founders of the inaugural comic-con themed cruise, nearly 90 percent of the ship has been booked, with only a few dozen balcony rooms and suites remaining.
Fan2Sea is scheduled to depart from Tampa, Florida on Jan. 19 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas, for a four-day cruise, which will make port calls in Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico, before returning to Tampa on Jan 23.
Passengers aboard the cruise will be able to mix and mingle with celebrities from The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy, Netflix’s Stranger Things, and share company with Frank Miller, the creator of the Dark Knight and Sin City.
On Wednesday, organizers announced the addition of Gaten Matarazzo, who stars as Dustin Henderson on Netflix’s new hit show, Stranger Things.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gaten on board the Fan2Sea Comic Con Cruise,” said Stefan Lawrence, creative director of Fan2Sea. “His performance as Dustin “Toothless” Henderson was amazing, and we think our guests will be excited to meet him as part of our Stranger Things programming.”
Other featured DC Comics and Marvel Comics guests of Fan2Sea include, Gail Simone, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, Arthur Adams, Joyce Chin, Mark Brooks, Reilly Brown, Gerry Duggan, Scott Koblish, Phil Noto, Chris Sims, Charles Soule, Frank Tieri, Mark Waid, Laura Martin, Chrissie Zullo, Chris Uminga, Clay Mann, Adam Kubert and Tim Sale.
Also on Tuesday, Millie Bobby Brown, who had previously committed to attend the cruise, regretfully cancelled her appearance due to a scheduling conflict related to filming the next season of Stranger Things, representatives from Fan2Sea said.

MRF AUTOCYCLE UPDATE–
As many of you know, January will signify the beginning of the majority of the state legislative sessions. As such, I wanted to pass along some recent intelligence regarding autocycles and potential bills you may face next year.
BACKGROUND & IMPLICATIONS TO MOTORCYCLISTS
One of the major autocycle manufacturers has been very active in this area and over the past year, they have pushed their model bill at the state level, which would define an autocycle as a motorcycle.
In effect, these vehicles would comply with many of the legal requirements (licensing, helmet law, registration, etc.) that traditional motorcycles are subject to. It is alarming for many of us, as grouping these very different vehicles together, will result in any crash and fatality data attributed to autocycles adversely affecting and skewing motorcycle crash and fatality statistics. And as we all know, as motorcycle crash and fatality stats go up, so does interference from the government on mandatory helmet and gear laws.
This manufacturer will continue to ‘shop’ their autocycle bill to any state in 2017 that has not already adopted the legislation. HOWEVER, I have it on very good authority that this manufacturer will not stop the inclusion of language that requires the state to separate crash and fatality statistics between autocycles and traditional motorcycles. In the short term, this does address our primary concern with these vehicles.
A number of states have already taken this approach and in most cases, this was considered a compromise between the manufacturer and state motorcycle rights advocates. States where this this compromise was already adopted into law include the following: (***please note this list is only current as of August***)
STATES WITH MOTORCYCLE & AUTOCYCLE COMPROMISE LANGUAGE
Alabama
Connecticut
Indiana
Kansas
Louisiana
Maryland
Minnesota
New Hampshire
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Rhode Island
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Vermont
However, in some states such as New Jersey, state laws were adopted that do not require the separation of autocycles and motorcycles for reporting and statistical purposes. See bill language below: http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2016/Bills/AL16/35_.PDF Clearly, this NOT a compromise nor the direction motorcyclists want to go.
POTENTIAL STRATEGY FOR 2017
http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/li/uconsCheck.cfm?yr=2016&sessInd=0&act=34
Again, we have it on good authority that the lobbyists for the autocycle manufacturer will not try and stop this separation language from being included in any new state laws going forward. HOWEVER, they will not request it, either. Therefore, if you or your organization wants to deploy the strategy of keeping autocycle and motorcycle statistics separate, you will have to actively ASK your legislative champions to include this language. (SEE Pennsylvania law – specifically § 3752).
As always, thanks for your support and let me know if you have any questions or need additional talking points or background on this issue.

HOLD ON FOR– Two guys were roaring down the road on a motorcycle when the rider slowed up and pulled over. His leather jacket had a broken zipper, and he told his friend, “I can’t drive anymore with the air hitting me in the chest like that.”
“Just put the jacket on backwards.” His friend advised. They continued down the road but around the next bend, they lost control and wiped out. A nearby farmer came upon the accident and ran to call the police. They asked him, “Are they showing any signs of life?”
“Well,” the farmer explained, “the driver was until I turned his head around the right way!”

REMEMBER WHAT TRULY COUNTS–
Just another Sunday morning like any other for the last couple of decades. Your body aches from pushing it a little too hard the day before. Your head hurts from pushing it a little too hard the night before.
Your old lady sits across from you in the little cafe waiting on bacon and eggs. She is going on about a “honey do” list a mile long, the mother-in-law’s latest issue. That is when you notice her hair has a few stray curls wondering from the pack.
Her words melt away into the dim of the restaurant. You remember when you first saw her. She was way out of your league, but you mustered up enough courage to say hello. You kept the pickup lines to a minimum happy to just be spending comfortable moments in time with her.
You thought it was fleeting, but here all these years later, a couple kids and a couple grand kids, she is still there, still as beautiful. She takes a bite of her toast leaving the tell tale speck of jam at the corner of her mouth that she always does.
She has been the supportive ropes holding you up as you rolled with the punches of life. She put up with all your bullshit and used it to fertilize the beautiful garden you call home. She is the reason you are still here today, why you’ll be here tomorrow.
A wiser woman would have left long ago but when you thought she had no more forgiveness left she would take you in her arms and tell you everything was going to be alright.
Today was to be a riding, fixing, raising a little hell day. She keeps talking but you haven’t heard a single thing she said. Your day changes to be just about her and you together.

In a last-ditch effort by Democratic strategists and the Hollywood elite to derail President-Elect Donald J. Trump’s ascension to the presidency, U.S. Electoral College delegates have been swamped with requests to ignore their pledge and “vote your conscience,” but longtime bikers’ rights advocate Jim Rhoades of ABATE of Michigan, one of that state’s 16 electors, says they’re cries are falling on deaf ears because he’s obligated to speak for the voters of his state.
Appearing on FOX News network’s “Your World” wearing his ABATE shirt, Rhoades revealed that he’s gotten over sixty thousand emails, phone calls and basketfuls of form letters calling on him to vote against Trump, as well as some threats, but believes fellow electors also feel steadfast about their duty and will support the will of their states’ voters when they cast their ballots on Monday, December 19th.
Calling the pressure tactics a “waste of time,” Rhoades told FOX News host Neil Cavuto in the nationally televised interview on December 15 that “I’m not intimidated by any of this stuff,” and added “I’ve been riding Harleys since the sixties, so I’ve been around a long time, I’m a grass roots political animal… and I love what Trump says, and he’s got me fired up looking for great things and looking to make America great again.”
In the aftermath of a norm-busting 2016 Presidential campaign, Trump won 306 Electoral College votes to Hillary Clinton’s 232, but if 36 “faithless electors” changed their ballots it would send the election to the U.S. House of Representatives to be determined, where Republicans hold a majority. In the past, some electors turned “faithless” in nine out of the last 17 elections, and a total of 179 times throughout American history, but no electors have ever changed the outcome of an election by voting against their party’s designated candidate.

QUICK, OPEN THE BIKERNET HOLIDAY BAD JOKE LIBRARY–
Motorcycle rider pulls into a diner in upstate N.Y. Seats himself and asks the waitress for two headlites and two wheels. The waitress who had just worked all night wasn’t in a good mood said,” what are you talking about?”
The rider already tired but happy to relax at the diner said, “Just tell the cook he’ll know what I mean but the expression two headlights and two wheels.
By this time the waitress is pissed and yells back at the old cook, “I got this weird one out here who thinks you’ll know what he wants if he orders tow headlites and two wheels”.
“Yeah I know what he wants,” Yells the cook, “He wants two eggs sunny side up and two pancakes. No problem.”
Well this just pisses off the waitress even more than before. SO, just before the breakfast is served to the rider, she walks up with a big plate of chili beans and slams them down on the table. “Here,” she yells for all to hear, “Here’s your chili!”
But, the rider who didn’t order the chili answers back. “What is this for?”
The waitress is ready for this and yells back, “I thought you would want to gas up before you took off”

NEW ROADSTER SHOCKS–
Suspension Technologies Ships High-Tech Performance Shocks for the Harley-Davidson Roadster
Suspension Technologies, a Yelvington Company, announced today they are shipping their Black Hill Series shocks for the Harley-Davidson Roadster. Suspension Technologies is the only shock manufacture to dyno test each shock set, before they are shipped to customers, to ensure the performance profile of the shock.
A Suspension Technologies’ performance shock is built with premium components in a design that allows it to significantly outperform stock and increase the capability of the bike, including stopping, accelerating and turning capabilities. In addition, because it is designed for the Roadster, it reduces fatigue and improves the rider’s satisfaction with the motorcycle.
Using his racing connections, Mike Alex, Suspension Technologies’ Shock Specialist, sourced the best American shock components, including rods, bushings and seals, and applied them to the tried and true racing-oriented performance designs that he had been working on for over the last twenty years.
“We balance the valving between the piston and the base valve, and this allows us to get more dampening out of the base valve and deliver a more consistent, plush and comfortable ride,” said Mike.
Each one of the Black Hill Series shocks for the Harley-Davidson Roadster is manufactured to a strict standard to deliver the optimum damping for the bike. To ensure consistency, each shock is hand assembled, dyno tested and matched to 2% of dampening force. The preload is adjustable and requires no special tools.
Another technique born of racing is the utilization of low pressure nitrogen gas in a monotube shock. This enhances the comfort of the bike because it provides a more linear transition from compression to rebound. Conversely, utilizing high gas pressure can become a de facto gas-spring, which can be difficult to tune.
The combination of a strong engineering staff with the in-house CAD design and CNC machines allows the firm to deliver the highest quality motorcycle parts and accessories available today.
Each shock utilizes aircraft-quality 6061 T6 billet aluminum components, which are powder coated for long term durability and good looks. Shocks are provided in midnight black, show-quality chrome or a combination.
The Black Hills Series’ Roadster shocks are available from your local dealer or directly from Yelvington USA.

MEANWHILE BACK IN THE BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY– An old, well traveled biker sits in a bar watching as a haughty young man come in and order a shot of 12-year-old scotch. The bar tender is irritated and gives him a shot of bar scotch.
The man takes a sip and spits the drink out and demands a shot of 12-year-old scotch. The bar tender decides to fuck with the man and gives him a shot of 6-year-old scotch.
He takes a sip and spits it out again and exclaims, “that’s 6-year-old scotch, I said I wanted 12-year- old scotch!”
The bar tender smiles and pours a shot of 9-year- old scotch. The man takes a sip and, again, spits it out, exclaiming ,angrily, “I said 12-year-old scotch!”
The bar tender decides that the man does, indeed, know his scotch and pours him his shot of 12-year- old scotch.
He sips it once, then sips it again, and says, “ Now that is 12 year old scotch !”
The old biker sidles up to the young man with a glass of liquid and says to him. “Here, taste this”! The young man takes a swig and immediately spits it out and says “It tastes like piss”!
“Yeah”, says the old biker,”It’s mine, How old am I?”

The above sent by Bob Bryson with some notes about Nobby Clark. Nobby is a wonderful guy. With more racing stories from the Big Circus then anyone can remember. He is writing a book, I hope he can finish. Don’t forget he wrenched for Kenny Roberts, Bill Ivy, Agostini and was best friends with Mike Hailwood. He was the only non Japanese man that ever wrenched on a Honda six. Every spec committed to memory–nothing written!
While in Japan he became super friends with Takahashi. Was at his wedding. He was wrenching for Katayama the day Jarno and Pasolini were killed. The true story will be in his book. He said Jarno was the most naturally gifted rider he ever knew. He really liked the young man. He had to pack up Jarno’s bikes and all his belongings and drive back to his home. The list of famous racers he worked with is simply amazing. Nobby is a true motorcycle racing treasure with a really really cool sense of humor.

BIKERNET EMPLOYMENT AGENCY– A retired man went into the Job Center in Downtown Denver, and saw a card advertising for a Gynecologist’s Assistant.
Interested, he went in and asked the clerk for details.
The clerk pulled up the file and read; “The job entails getting the ladies ready for the gynecologist. You have to help the women out of their underwear, lay them down and carefully wash their private regions, then apply shaving foam and gently shave off the hair, then rub in soothing oils so they’re ready for the gynecologist’s examination. What is The Great Race?
The Australian Great Race is a timed navigation and reliability trial for Harley Davidson and Indian Motorcycles manufactured before 1958. It has been held every year since 1993. The event rekindles the rivalry that existed between these two manufacturers in the first half of the twentieth century. Competitors compete for team scores as well as individual honours. A co-efficient applies for riders of early machines. Scoring is accumulated from a combination of navigational, average speed tests and special features which may be introduced on an annual basis.
The events location can vary from year to year and the location is usually being announced on July 1st. Entry requests are emailed on September 1st and acceptances posted in October. The event is usually oversubscribed. Riders who wish to have an entry considered and have not competed previously should email info@great-race.com.au with their contact details and the bike they wish to participate with.

METZELER Unveils its 2017 Calendar:
a Tribute to the Family of Female Motorcyclists
Natural Born Lady Rider Campaign Gives its Name to the 24th Edition of the METZELER Calendar: Courage, Determination and Talent to Show Pure Femininity on Two Wheels
Celebrating the talent and passion transmitted by women riders throughout twelve months of imagery: the 2017 METZELER calendar. Titled, Natural Born Lady Rider, it was created with the aim to dedicate a tribute to female motorcycle pride, emphasizing the determination shown by women of all ages to ride their motorcycles.
This METZELER initiative celebrates the 125th anniversary of the productive activity of motorcycle tires, as it continues with the theme of the campaign, Natural Born Lady Rider, launched last November with a movie marathon lasting 48-hours. Focused on women motorcyclists: from the movies shown at Deus Leica Theatre in Milan comes a full color calendar, produced in a limited edition with the collaboration of “Somewhere”, showing professional athletes and pure bike enthusiasts, from all over the world yet united by their love for motorcycling.
The calendar year opens with Vaune Phan, a blogger from Singapore, as the January star, followed by the blonde queen of the road races, Maria Costello, a professional rider who has achieved three podiums at the legendary Isle of Man TT Races. British motoblogger Joanna Benz, who is very active on the social network Instagram, beautifully graces the March page.
April goes around the world with Lea Rieck, a German biker who rode around the planet on a Triumph Tiger 800 XCA named Cleo. Italy triumphs in May with Sara Trentini, six-time Italian Trial Champion and 2012 European Champion.
The summer opens up with Alicia Sornosa, the first Spanish woman to have ridden five continents riding a two-wheeler. Three American women, a mother and two daughters, are portrayed in the month of July. Their world record as the first mother-daughter-daughter trio to simultaneously hold land speed records: their names are Laura Klock, Erika and Karlee Cobb.
France is represented by the motorcyclist Lydia Truglio Beaumont (August) and Sarah Lezito, 24 year old stuntwoman among the most followed on social networks and also considered by many as some of the best in this field (September), while the United States open the page dedicated to October with Jody Perewitz, who holds 15 speed records, as well as being the first woman to have reached 200+ mph on a V-Twin. The Dakar Rally is the November page, starring Tina Meier, a German rider.
To close the year we return to the Land of the Rising Sun, where we find Yuka Izutani, a journalist that shares a deep passion for motorcycling.
METZELER’s communication activities will continue in the next months: for any other information, please visit our website www.metzeler.com.
Original frame, matching numbers? What a waste.

THE HOLIDAY BAD JOKE LIBRARY IS STILL OPEN– Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping
A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.
The wife said, “Where are you, you know we have lots to do.”
He said, “You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?”
Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up…
“Yes, I do remember that shop.” she replied.
“Well I am in the gun shop next door to that.”

A MYSTIC MESSAGE FROM THE MOST MAGNIFICENT– Today I Uncover the Perfection Within
What is success in its truest meaning? Is success material possessions, money, fame or power? Maybe, but I don’t believe one is successful when they don’t have happiness and a true sense of certainty.
External things are not keys to success. One, may have great possessions but, have their days filled with sadness and grief. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there is anything wrong to have possessions long as you have them for the right reasons. There are people who continue to buy things hoping to find contentment in the purchases and only have to buy more for they only feel fulfilled for a short time.
I believe real success comes from within, the Mahabharata tells us, treasures cannot be found while one is a slave to objective appearances or lack of control of one’s thoughts. What that tells us is that success, even in our objective undertakings, depends first on the stability of mind, consistency of purpose and concentration of effort.
I think we should take a moment consider the great Power we have within. The Power of our Higher Power, God, that can take us anywhere we want to go. As I have said many times and take yourself off automatic pilot and Pause to go within.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.– Albert Schweitzer

“We are excited to help out with this build. We wanted to take some of the concepts we have been seeing applied to Dyna’s and FXR’s and see what we could do with a Road King. We see this as an opportunity to help a local charity that we believe in, work with other great shops like Lane Splitters and strip down a Road King and give it a sport treatment.” Said Paul Yaffe of Bagger Nation.
Bikers for Boobies AZ will sell raffle tickets throughout the year to raise much-needed funds for cancer awareness and research, and one lucky winner will ride off on one incredible motorcycle conceived of by two visionary builders. Additional prizes will be awarded at the raffle. This will be Bikers for Boobies AZ 5th Anniversary of a bike raffle – which started 5 years ago and now they have partnered with Paul Yaffe and other great builders.
The first Bikers For Boobies poker run saw 120 bikes participate. In 2015, there were 2,500 riders, and the charity raised over $65,000 . Bikers for Boobies AZ has also assisted 60 women with mammograms and supplied over $25,000 in grants for medical and survival needs. Bikers For Boobies is looking to top both numbers in 2017. It’s for a good cause, and the ride’s a lot of fun, so B4B encourages as many people as possible to participate, donate and be a part of the solution to breast cancer.

WORLD RUN BOOK REVIEW– Good read and the girl-on-girl stuff was pretty hot.
Enjoyed your use of names from the past, your inside joke that only a few readers will get. So thanks for sharing your latest creation with me.

IT’S AMAZING— We are fraught with challenges, but daily you can still go for a ride and enjoy it, feel the freedom and get away from everything.
A brother sent me some shots of old commercial trucks. When I was a kid the Helms Bakery truck cruised our neighborhood every week. Amazing, I can still remember these cool trucks and the warm jelly-filled donuts.
Have a helluva holiday. There’s more to come next year.
