SCRAMBLE FOR THE POSITIVE BIKERNET WEEKLY NEWS for January 28, 2016

Hey,

I’m scrambled today with projects, priorities, and crazed notions. While the Redhead slips around the headquarters in her leopard robe, I swept up after our two black labs and pondered the day.

I’ve been attacked by stress over the vast and unrelenting Bikernet Interplanetary Headquarters being attacked by the City of Los Angeles. We had a meeting with the head of Building and Safety yesterday morning in Downtown. It took us 1.5 hours to drive 20 miles. And as we crept through the Adams district I looked at many of the crappy rundown buildings and was blown away.

They could take all the building inspectors in Los Angeles and they could spend their entire careers on one city block–fulla dumps. We found a light at the end of our tunnel during the meeting, so maybe we can regain a very positive focus on the remainder of the year, including another book, our Salt Torpedo, a screenplay, and even a bronze sculpture. It’s all possible if the bastards will let a brother be.

The Bikernet Weekly News is sponsored in part by Cycle Source Magazine, Iron Trader News, and ChopperTown.

Inspiration of the Day:

In Life, only at the moment of encountering darkness, can the preciousness of brightness be displayed;

Only when conducting oneself justly—even while enduring slander, can the fragrance of character be known.

SOME CALL THEM TRAFFIC CIRCLES, OTHER ROUNDABOUTS–

Just when you thought you had the roundabout figured out, someone comes along and redesigns it so that you have to slow down again and think about what you’re doing. Ever heard of a Hamburger roundabout or Dog Bone roundabout? How about a Turbo roundabout or a Dumbbell roundabout?

We hadn’t heard these terms either until we ran across this story from Idaho describing a new “Dog Bone” roundabout in Boise. It got us thinking so we decided to take a look at what’s new in the world of roundabouts.

The aforementioned Dog Bone takes its name from its squished-in-the-middle shape forming an elongated loop. The Dumbbell roundabout is similar but actually consists of two standard roundabouts connected via parallel travel lanes.

You typically see both of these designs used with diamond interchanges, and in fact, they’re sometimes referred to as interchanges or “hybrid” interchanges. They’re becoming fairly common, and we have several here in Dane County, Wisconsin. The first time you drive through one can be a little disorienting if you don’t know there’s a second one coming up so fast.

Next we have the Hamburger roundabout, again named for its shape. It consists of a normal roundabout with the main road forming two parallel travel lanes traversing the center circle. The strip in between the two resembles a hamburger surrounded by a bun. On smaller roads, traffic signals may not be needed, and the main road has the right-of-way. Larger roads with higher traffic volumes can require extensive signaling.

Hamburger designs are intended to manage turning movements and to facilitate traffic flow along the main road. They’re popular in Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom, but we’re aware of a few in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. A variation on the Hamburger positions the thoroughfare at one level with short ramps leading to the roundabout on another level.

Turbo roundabouts were developed to address some of the safety issues associated with normal, two-lane roundabouts, namely drivers shifting lanes within the circular to reach their desired exit point. Turbos require drivers to pick their lane before entering based on their desired exit lane, so clear signage for the approach is critical.

Turbos use raised lane dividers or lane markings to keep drivers from weaving. The spiral design also slows traffic and discourages lane changes to reduce vehicle conflicts. It sounds complicated, but it appears to work quite well. See here.

Like the Turbo, the Flower roundabout incorporates raised lane dividers or lane markings but uses segregated lanes, so-called “slip lanes,” for right turns. All other traffic is routed through the roundabout. See here. Flower designs typically show up as retrofit options to existing two-lane roundabouts that are experiencing safety issues.

Several other designs appear to be more theoretical at this stage, including the Target roundabout, the Four Fly-Over roundabout and the Left-And-Right roundabout. Each incorporates a multi-level design and segregated turning lanes. For more on these designs and alternative roundabout designs in general, check out this presentation from Prof. Tomaz Tollazzi, Ph.D., with the University of Maribor in Slovenia.

Do these new designs make sense? Have you ever driven through one? Let us know what think.

PAGANS MC MEMBERS FALSELY ARRESTED–
& have Legal Firearms Confiscated.

The epidemic of profiling and discrimination targeting members of motorcycle clubs is undeniable. Piece by piece, issue by issue, the community is facing challenges to fundamental freedoms based solely on associations.

The recent practice of targeting club members legal gun rights expands the stakes substantially. On January 9, 2016 a textbook example of discriminatory policing targeting 2 members of a motorcycle club occurred in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The stop included the confiscation of legally purchased and possessed firearms from individuals that had never been handcuffed in their lives prior to being falsely arrested.

January 10th, 2016

57 Miles Southeast of Pittsburg
Just After Midnight

Two members of the Pagans MC were traveling back to Virginia, after attending a motorcycle event in Pennsylvania, when they were stopped for speeding and ultimately arrested for possession of legally permitted firearms. They were chained to a metal bench for three hours before they were released without charges. They were questioned about their club affiliations. Predictably, their weapons were not released. These men are 52 and 42 years old with no criminal histories.

According to one of the members, a military veteran, after leaving a gas stop in Collensville,

“I saw a State Trooper at the light. Shortly thereafter, I saw the vehicle behind me. Felt like they were trying to get us to screw up while being the only vehicle on the road that night.”

“We were eventually pulled over for speeding.”

“A State Trooper approached and said we were stopped because we were going 60 in a 45. But that was the last the speeding issue was mentioned. After confirming that we were both carrying legally permitted firearms from Virginia the trooper returned to his vehicle in order to run their information.”

“After 4-5 minutes the trooper returned and asked us to exit the vehicle. For the first time in either of our lives we were handcuffed. We were relieved of our weapons and placed in the trooper’s vehicle.”

“We told the troopers that although it is true that Virginia has repealed its reciprocity agreement with Pennsylvania, the repeal doesn’t take effect till February 1. We were told they were checking. They asked for permission to search and we gave them permission.”

“We were taken to a local PA State Police Barracks. We were handcuffed to two metal benches. They tried an ankle bracelet, but it caused extensive pain so they settled on handcuffs.”

“We were told that we would probably be held overnight. They found no criminal histories, only clean records, and said they would drop charges from a felony to a class I misdemeanor, but they were not charging us yet. We were told they had to speak to the DA first to determine if he’ll prosecute. After approximately three hours we were released without charges but we were told our firearms were being kept as evidence.”

“Still in handcuffs, we were taken back to our vehicle and released.”

A Clear Case Of False Arrest And Unjustified Detainment

Clearly the officers had zero grounds to arrest and detain anyone under the circumstances as described. According to the Washington Post:

“Virginia Attorney General Mark R. Herring announced Tuesday that the commonwealth will no longer recognize out-of-state concealed handgun permits, part of a national push to circumvent legislatures opposed to tightening gun laws…effective February 1.” (See Washington Post, “Virginia to stop recognizing concealed carry gun permits from 25 states”, December 22, 2015)

Both individuals arrested possessed legal carry permits from the state of Virginia, legally recognized in Pennsylvania until February 1. Certainly it’s reasonable to expect law enforcement to be informed and educated on such issues particularly if they are going to arrest and detain people. And it definitely does not take three hours to make a correct determination on an issue of such magnitude that has received such massive media and government attention.

And to keep legal firearms as evidence is outrageous and absurd. These men were released without charges because they did not violate a law that is not in effect until February 1, 2016. There is absolutely no legal justification to seize legal property that is legally possessed. No case, no charges, no need for evidence. This clearly violates reasonable search and seizure protections and directly violates 2nd Amendment rights extraordinarily obtained through extensive background checks and scrutiny.

Motorcycle Club Discrimination Revealed Through Trooper’s Questioning

So what underlies the troopers decision to falsely arrest and detain these two men? The MPP asked one member whether there was anything that would lead him to believe that this incident was a result of motorcycle profiling.

According to the member,

“After being handcuffed to a bench in the station for 20 minutes, a trooper asked me why I would want to join the Pagans. I told him I was 20 years retired army. Veterans want a sense of security and we love riding motorcycles. Then one trooper asked whether I liked being in a gang. I corrected his vocabulary. Motorcycle Clubs are made up of men. Not gang members. The trooper then asked me whether I watched Sons of Anarchy.”

It seems clear that the trooper’s questioning reveals a discriminatory anti-motorcycle club motive.

Support Pending Legislation In PA To End The Practice Of Motorcycle Profiling

This case further demonstrates that the time to act in Pennsylvania is now. The mounting pattern of evidence proves that the practice of discriminatory policing targeting motorcycle club members is irrefutable. In the words of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in the District of New Jersey:

To permit law enforcement to object to any person “who wears the insignia of Pagan’s, without regard to or knowledge of that individual’s specific intent to engage in the alleged violent activities committed by other members, is antithetical to the basic principles enshrined in the First Amendment and repugnant to the fundamental doctrine of personal guilt that is a hallmark of American jurisprudence.”

One of the cool things about visiting and shooting events all over the nation is, every state has something wild to offer.

The Carlisle Bikefest in Central Pennsylvania has always, for as many years as I can remember, played with the big boys. I can post many galleries and you would be very surprised at not only the amount of bikers in attendance (often 100,000 per weekend), but the builders and popular vendors as well.

This is just one small gallery of many, if you WANT more, just let me know. I can post many from over the years. Enjoy!

QUICK, OPEN THE BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY–
Mike the Irish Boy

Seven year old Mohammad entered his classroom on the first day of school

“What’s your name?”, asked the teacher.

“Mohammad”, he replied.

“You’re in Ireland now”, replied the teacher, “So from now on you will be known as Mike”

Mohammad returned home from school.

“How was your day, Mohammad?”, his mother asked.

“My name is not Mohammad. I’m in Ireland and now my name is Mike.”

“Are you ashamed of your name? Are you trying to dishonor your parents, your heritage,
your religion? Shame on you!”

And his mother beat the shit out of him.

Then she called his father, who beat the shit out of him again.

The next day Mohammad returned to school. The teacher saw all of his fresh bruises.

“What happened to you, Mike?”, she asked.

“Well, shortly after becoming an Irishman, I was attacked by two fucking Muslims.”

NEWS FROM THE BONNEVILLE 5-BALL RACING FRONT–
No, the F.I.M. landspeed regulations are STILL not published. As a matter of fact I just sent an email to all those involved asking when. I would use the AMA regulations for your build as they basically mirror those of the F.I.M.

http://bonnevillespeedtrials.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/AMA-LSGC-SR-2015v13.pdf

You would need to follow and adhere to all the streamliner rules since your proposed machine will have the rider incased in a fuselage type of cockpit. Best of luck with your build, and please feel free to contact me any time with questions.

Also, I would appreciate photos as the build proceeds.

THE OFFICIAL SHIRT OF THE TEXAS HANDBUILT MOTORCYCLE SHOW–
Handbuilt Motorcycle Show Fist Tee

$27.00

Please note that American Apparel tees are cut slimmer than traditional t-shirts and fit closer to the body, so you may want to think about moving a size up if you like your tees to fit a little more loosely.

Represent the innovators and makers that work with their hands and grab one of these, the official shirt of The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, these black tees are an extra-soft tri-blend fabric. Soft and durable, you’ll look sharp in this tee for quite some time.

-Sizing is in men’s, but can be worn by the ladies as shown. Ladies tees are coming, but as you’ll see in the images, some ladies can rock a men’s tee with no problem!

A higher-quality alternative to traditional screen printing, our shirts are now printed using discharge ink, leaving you with an exceptionally soft, wearable tee. Discharge ink is a water-based solution that removes the dye in a shirt, allowing the new printing dyes to penetrate the fabric. This means no cracking, peeling, or bunching due to the multiple layers of prints required with a traditional screen printing process.

Discharge printing leaves bright, soft, pliable tees that will last longer and look better. Each shirt is even pre-washed to allow you to wear it right when you get it.

MOTORCYCLE THEFT STATISTICS–
The National Insurance Crime Bureau has released its latest bike theft report, and while much of their annual report is predictable, such as most thefts occur in the summer, some statistics reveal some interesting nuggets of information:

Nationally, the NICB’s “2014 United States Theft and Recovery report for 2014 and 2015” is better than in 2013. There were 42,856 motorcycle thefts recorded in 2014 (17,757, or 41% of motorcycles were recovered) which is a 6% decrease from the year prior.

Considering motorcycle sales have increased 4% from 2013 (465,783) to 2014 (483,526), this is good news. The number of thefts decreased is a sign of steady decline in motorcycle thefts since 2011, with 8% fewer thefts in 2014 compared to three years prior.

The top three states for motorcycle theft last year were California (6,355), Florida (3,981), and Texas (3,274). The state with the fewest thefts was Wyoming, with a total of 23 last year.

There are 16 states that saw an increase in the number of motorcycle thefts in 2014 compared to 2013, with DC having the highest increase (54%). There are 35 states that saw a decrease in the number of motorcycle thefts in 2014 compared to 2013, with Wyoming having the highest decrease (-43%).

BIONIC MEN REVOLT—
I recently had a hip replaced as do thousands of old bikers. So far, I’m doing well, but that’s not always the case. Here’s a report from former master designer from CCI, John Reed.

Hurt don’t it.
I had the bike etc. in the van ready to go down to the speed race at El Mirage December 13th. Two days before we left I was picking up some bricks, slipped in the mud and dislocated my hip. They took me to hospital and put it back in place, about four weeks later it dislocated again, but this time it was all fucked up and a piece of the plastic or whatever was stuck in the joint.

I went into surgery January 14th and they replaced it with a brand spanking shiny new one, I am just walking with a crutch for security, but I think I won’t be able to get backon a bike for about a week, if I can pull it out without Genny seeing me.

What about yours, is everything ok? Rumor has it that they found an old cast iron one for you.

cheers

SCHUBERTH M1 voted “Motorcycle Helmet of the Year”–
The independent U.S. website webBikeWorld.com has voted the SCHUBERTH M1 the 2015 “Motorcycle Helmet of the Year” in open-face helmet category.

WebBikeWorld annually awards the prize of “Motorcycle Product of the Year” in several categories. Now, they have bestowed the SCHUBERTH M1 with the 2015 “Motorcycle Helmet of the Year” award for open-faced helmets. WebBikeWorld writes: “Who would have thought that SCHUBERTH would ever make an open-face helmet? But the SCHUBERTH M1 is definitely something special. It’s the SCHUBERTH of open-face helmets.”

Besides these laurels for the brand, the SCHUBERTH M1 is called the highest-quality open-faced helmet available today. The “outstanding quality” of manufacture, paint and overall construction has convinced the testers just as much as its comfortable breathable, antibacterial and completely seamless liner. WebBikeWorld also make a point to mention the optical quality of the sun visor and the face shield, which offer an unlimited field-of-view as a genuine safety factor.

Furthermore, the testers were highly appreciative of the invisible pre-installed microphones and speakers. With the optional SRC-SystemTM, “in literally 5 seconds”, the customer gets “a beautifully integrated helmet intercom system“ that uses Bluetooth to let you communicate with your passenger and fellow riders, take calls on your smartphone, listen to music and receive GPS directions – and all that at a “surprisingly reasonable price“.

For more information please visit www.schuberth.com.

WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT ACCUSED-– of wasting donation money.

A CBS News investigation into a charity for wounded veterans, the Wounded Warrior Project, looks into how the charity spends its donation money.

What caught our attention is how the Wounded Warrior Project spends donations compared to other long-respected charities.

For example, Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust spends 96 percent of its budget on vets. Fisher House devotes 91 percent. But according to public records reported by “Charity Navigator,” the Wounded Warrior Project spends 60 percent on vets.

Where is the money is going?

In its commercials, Wounded Warrior Project appeals to the American public’s generosity, and it works. In 2014 alone the group received more than $300 million in donations.

“Their mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors, but what the public doesn’t see is how they spend their money,” said Army Staff Sergeant Erick Millette.

Millette came home from Iraq in 2006 with a bronze star and a purple heart — along with a traumatic brain injury and PTSD.

Initially, he admired the charity’s work, and participated in its programs. He took a job as a public speaker with Wounded Warrior Project in 2013. But after two years, he quit.

“You’re using our injuries, our darkest days, our hardships, to make money. So you can have these big parties,” he told CBS News.

Millette said he witnessed lavish spending on staff.

“Let’s get a Mexican mariachi band in there, let’s get maracas made with [the] WWP logo, put them on every staff member’s desk. Let’s get it catered and have a big old party,” he described.

“Going to a nice fancy restaurant is not team building. Staying at a lavish hotel at the beach here in Jacksonville, and requiring staff that lives in the area to stay at the hotel is not team building,” Millette continued.

CBS News spoke to more than 40 former employees who described a charity where spending was out of control.

Two of those former employees were so fearful of retaliation they asked that their faces not to be shown on camera.

“It was extremely extravagant. Dinners and alcohol, and just total accessm” one employee explained. He continued, saying that for a charitable organization that’s serving veterans, the spending on resorts and alcohol is “what the military calls fraud waste and abuse.”

According to the charity’s tax forms, spending on conferences and meetings went from $1.7 million in 2010, to $26 million in 2014. That’s about the same amount the group spends on combat stress recovery — its top program.

Former employees say spending has skyrocketed since Steven Nardizzi took over as CEO in 2009. Many point to the 2014 annual meeting at a luxury resort in Colorado Springs as typical of his style.

“He rappelled down the side of a building at one of the all hands events. He’s come in on a Segway, he’s come in on a horse.”

About 500 staff members attended the four-day conference in Colorado. The price tag? About $3 million.

“Donors don’t want you to have a $2,500 bar tab. Donors don’t want you to fly every staff member once a year to some five-star resort and whoop it up and call it team building,” said Millette.

A Colorado Springs resort where a 2014 WWP conference was held
Wounded Warrior Project declined CBS News’ repeated interview requests for Nardizzi, but offered their Director of Alumni and a recipient of their services, Captain Ryan Kules.

Kules denied there was excessive spending on conferences.

“It’s the best use of donor dollars to ensure we are providing programs and services to our warriors and families at the highest quality.”

When asked why conferences were held at five-star resorts instead of cheaper options, Kules provided the same answer.

Capt. Ryan Kules, WWP Director of Alumni
CBS News

“Like I said, it’s to make sure we are aligned and can build as a team. Be able to be able to provide the best quality services.”

“WWP and those donor dollars trained me to speak and be a voice, and that’s exactly what I’m doing,” said Millette.

“I’m sorry, but I’ll be damned if you’re gonna take hard-working Americans’ money and drink it and waste it.”

Kules also told CBS News the charity did not spend $3 million on the Colorado conference, but he was not there and was unable to say what it did cost. He also denied that the charity spends money on alcohol or engages in any other kind of excessive spending.

Part two of this investigation will air on “CBS

INDIAN MOTORCYCLE AND JACK DANIEL’S PARTNER ON ICONIC COLLECTOR’S- EDITION JACK DANIEL’S-BRANDED INDIAN CHIEF VINTAGE by Brian Klock

Two legendary American brands join forces in handcrafting collectible masterpiece unveiled at Barrett-Jackson auction for the benefit of U.S. Military personnel and their families.

Indian Motorcycle®, America’s first motorcycle company, today announced it has joined forces with the Jack Daniel Distillery to create a limited-run, collector’s-edition Jack Daniel’s-branded 2016 Indian® Chief® Vintage motorcycle.

The partnership brings together two of America’s most iconic brands who share a mutual commitment to independence, originality and American craftsmanship that dates back more than a century. The collaboration commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery, which was registered in 1866.

The 2016 Collector’s Edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Vintage will be on display January 23-31 at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Collector Car Auction. It will also make an appearance at a series of events throughout 2016, including Daytona Bike Week, taking place March 4-13.

Ultimately, this first-in-the-series display bike will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Las Vegas, which takes place October 6-8. All monies raised from the charity auction will be donated to support “Operation Ride Home,” a partnership between the Jack Daniel Distillery and the Armed Services YMCA that provides funding and travel assistance to help junior-enlisted military personnel spend time with their families during the holiday season.

“This one-of-a-kind motorcycle is the perfect pairing of these two classic American brands, and while they look great together, we’ve inscribed this unique collector’s edition masterpiece with our ‘Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix’ mantra to remind all our friends that drinking and riding are meant to be enjoyed separately,” said Dave Stang, Director of Events & Sponsorships for Jack Daniel’s. “We’d like to thank our friends at Indian Motorcycle for their help on this project and their support for Operation Ride Home.”

The Collector’s Edition Jack Daniel’s Vintage will be produced in very limited quantities, taking the iconic Indian Chief Vintage platform to a whole new level with an array of genuine Indian Motorcycle accessories and custom accessories, as well as Jack Daniel’s-inspired custom paint and logos, badging, leather saddle and saddlebags.

The bike’s fender is also inscribed with the names of the seven Master Distillers who have overseen the Jack Daniel’s distilling process over its 150-year history. Final customization work was designed and completed by Brian Klock and his inspired team at Klock Werks in Mitchell, S.D. Additional details on the production schedule and ordering process will be released during Daytona Bike Week.

“It’s a pleasure to partner again with our friends at Jack Daniel’s on this project as a tribute to originality and American craftsmanship, and to do so for the benefit of our military personnel and their families,” said Steve Menneto, President of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries. “Jack Daniel’s and Indian Motorcycle proudly support our troops, military families and our veterans and we are honored to join forces again in 2016.”

LEGAL ALERT–
A Great Victory for our Community

We received the following message from Chief Justice Judge Nash concerning motorcycle vest in District Courthouse, “Please be informed that the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department will NOT be requiring members of your organization to turn their vests inside out upon entry into the Second Judicial District Courthouse and its’ Courtrooms in the future.”

The NMMRO and the NNMCOC sent Judge Nash a letter regarding an issue in which Bernalillo Sheriff Officers were asking the Guardians of the Children to remove their vest and turn their them inside out so none of the patches on their vest were visible. These vest and patches are what identify them to the abused children who they are there to support in court under difficult circumstance as these children have to face their perpetrators or have to sometimes testify.

Her message “said members of your organization” this is why it is so important we as motorcyclist join and support the NMMRO, an organization who stands and fights for your rights, freedoms and liberties. Thank you to Judge Nash for doing the right thing as we believe our 1st Amendment was being violated.

We must also remember that we must be respectful at all times in our courthouse, we must be on our best behavior so that we may continue to wear our patches and motorcycle related attire in the courthouse. I want to thank the Guardians of the Children for bringing this to our attention. Thank you to Double D from The Motorcycle Profiling Project and Attorney Dan Sorey for their support and advise in addressing this issue.

While we can all benefit from this victory it is the abused children from our community who will benefit most, as now members of motorcycle community can continue to support and accompany them in court. Your voices were heard as we united in support.

THE BIKERNET JOKE LIBRARY IS ALWAYS OPEN–
If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always Win – there is no such thing as a fair fight, cheat if necessary.

A man and his wife were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push. “Not a chance,” says the husband, “it is 3:00 in the morning!”

He slams the door and returns to bed.
“Who was that?” asked his wife. “Just some drunk guy asking for a push,” he answers.

“Did you help him?” she asks.

“No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning and it is pouring rain out there! “

“Well, you have a short memory,” says his wife. “Can’t you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself! God loves drunk people too!”

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding
rain. He calls out into the dark, “Hello, are you still there? “

“Yes,” comes back the answer.

“Do you still need a push?” calls out the husband.

“Yes, please!” comes the reply from the dark.

“Where are you?” asks the husband. “Over here on the swing set,” replied the drunk.

Pegasus Fuel Injection and Ignition System Install

I have a 1948 FL Panhead. Is this will be good fit for my Panhead?

The 1948 was the first year of the Panhead. It’s a classic. Don’t mess with it.

But here’s what Mil Blair from Pegasus had to say:

Needs to be an electric start. Also needs a S&S distributor and a S&S intake manifold.

ANOTHER FEATURE BIKE HEADED TO BIKERNET—
We ran into this cool ride at the ER show by Johnny Branch, from Branch Engineering. We hooked him up with Peter Linney.

Don’t miss the next Easyriders show.

WILD IN THE STREET— I’ve read a couple reports on H-D stock and how it’s slipped. I get a kick out of the naysayers. As we’ve all seen over the last decade, the fluctuation in the world economy is never ending.

I find stock prices to be an indication of nothing. They fluctuate when the tide is up in the Indian Ocean. They drop when the French fart.

Harley is big and one of the strongest brands in this country. They have the brightest minds at their fingertips. I’m an Indian and Victory fan, but it doesn’t mean either brand will storm over H-D in the next ten years. Hopefully they will all grow, flourish, and we will ride free forever.

More than stock prices, we need to work on the Freedom aspect for the benefit of business and our spirits.

Ride Free Forever,

–Bandit
