James Dean’s motorcycle arrived in Indianapolis earlier this week. It’s in a storage room in the basement of the Indiana State Museum but goes on public display Nov. 23.
It’s a 1955 500cc Triumph and holds up nearly as well as Dean (which is to say: very well). The bike is part of the museum’s upcoming “Eternal James Dean” exhibit.
Dean made just three movies and has been dead since 1955 yet still manages to be a big star, still manages to be cool. How is that possible?
