One of the world’s fastest women on two-wheels and five time land speed record holder, Valerie Thompson, will display her record setting CTEK Battery Charger sponsored BMW S 1000 RR at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show January 24-26 at the University of Phoenix stadium, located at One West Cardinals Drive.

Thompson will be available at the BMW Motorrad booth for interviews, photos and autographs during all three days of the show. Thompson was featured in the 2013 book, “90 Years BMW Motorrad” and is a member of the BUB Speed Trials 201 MPH Club, the Mojave Magnum 200 MPH Club and Texas Mile 200 MPH Club. She set a personal best top speed of 212 mph on her BMW S 1000 RR during the March 2013 Texas Mile competition.

In addition to her many racing accomplishments, Thompson is well known in Scottsdale auto collection circles for her work with Barrett-Jackson and Metro Auto Auction as a vehicle presenter. “The International Motorcycle Show is always a major event and I’m delighted to be working with the professional team from BMW Motorrad,” stated Thompson. “Without their support and state-of-the-art technology, we would have not enjoyed the great success our team experienced last year. We can’t wait to start the 2014 racing season,” added Thompson.
