Teresi Dyno Drags will be at the New Orleans Bikefest– TERESI DYNO-DRAGS takes “inter-active” to a new level by allowing motorcycle enthusiasts to compete head-to-head with their own bikes under real racing conditions.Utilizing a pair of motorcycle dynos, Christmas tree starting lights and a computerized timing system, riders can test their racing skills and find out how fast their bikes really are – all in the safety of a stationary environment.

Once “staged,” the rider is looking down the simulated track, complete with an electronic scoreboard that displays top speed and elapsed time for each lane. With engines revving, the green light flashes and the riders accelerate their bikes – side-by-side – through the 1/4-mile stretch, just like at a real drag strip. And since every “run” is also a dyno-pull, the Teresi Dyno-Drags provides a printout of horsepower for each competitor.

Remember to preregister for the Bikefest by September 30th to receive free event t-shirt.Please see www.neworleansbikefest.com for the schedule and other info.

NSW Ambulance officers said they responded to reports of a man who had a garden stake in his torso and required surgical intervention.

Paramedics arrived to find the man conscious and the stake already pulled from his body.Nowra police confirmed there was no motorcycle at the scene when authorities arrived.

A source said the owner of the bike had caught up with the rider, pulled out the stake and punched him on the nose before taking his wallet and reclaiming the motorcycle.

TWO BIKERS MEET AT COSTCO–Two guys, one old timer and one young, were pushing their carts around Costco when they collide.

The old timer said to the young guy, “Sorry about that. I’m looking for my wife, and I guess I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.”

The young guy said, “That’s OK. It’s a coincidence. I’m looking for my wife, too. I can’t find her and I’m getting a little desperate.”

The old guy said, “Well, maybe we can help each other. What does your wife look like?”

The young guy replied, “Well, she is 24 yrs old, tall, with blonde hair, big blue eyes, long legs, big boobs, and she’s wearing tight white shorts, a halter top and no bra. What does your wife look like?”

The old timer said, “It doesn’t matter. Let’s look for yours.”

Most old timers are helpful like that!

HAMSTER JIMMY OPENS HIS FIRST FAB SHOP–Two weeks ago, Carolina Harley closed their fabrication shop and Jimmy is now working at home. He recently redid his shop and is ready to take in jobs, from regular servicing to full-on builds. The home shop is very cool, going in there is kind of like taking a trip through time.

The walls are covered with plaques that feature the many bikes he built that were featured in magazines, there’s items from his many years building bikes in Florida, including pieces from his years working with the legendary Wyatt Fuller.

Plus of course there’s the motorcycles, his long chopper, his new wicked Sportster bobber, my Easyriders cover bike, and even the first chopper he ever built back in 1974.

Jimmy’s done some nasty evil Sportster builds over the past two years. Taking stock Sportsters, designing and building a wicked custom Sportster choppers or bobbers, and staying within the customer’s budget.

jim chop2

His long chopper is for sale. I have attached a few pictures of it. It is a 2008 Rigid Chopper. It has a Santee Frame which is 6-up and 4-out. It has 7 degree trees, 10 over duece front end, 6- speed transmission, H-D crate evo motor, S&S carb, custom made exhaust. Plus many custom made details all over the bike, like the speedo mounted in the tank.

This thing starts at the first turn of the key and rides and handles like a dream. The nibs haven’t even been worn off the tires. He’s asking $14,500.

Sucker Punch Sally’s Teams with Fender Guitars To Create Hot Rod Toyota Tundra to be Unveiled at SEMA–SCOTTSDALE-ARIZ.(September 22, 2009) Sucker Punch Sally’s, the predominant masters of Old School, are teaming up with Toyota Racing and Fender Guitars to reincarnate a 2009 Toyota Tundra into a 1950’s-style hot rod for SEMA.

Complete with a custom wooden flatbed with surfboard rack, the refurbished machine will transport observers to an era of authentic hot rods, the original Toyota Corona, Ford Skyliners and surfer-esque wood-paneled wagons.

The Toyota Tundra was stripped bald at the Sucker Punch Sally’s manufacturing facility in Scottsdale, AZ and is receiving a total overhaul with new headliner, seats, panels, carpet and paint job complete with bright red flames. The finished product will be unveiled at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty performance products trade event in Las Vegas. Showcased within the hand built custom wooden flatbed will be the Sucker Punch Sally’s Triumph Thruxton. Custom-built specifically for Fender, the famed guitar manufacturer, the Triumph was fitted with custom parts and paint to make it look like a vintage Isle of Man Caf? Racer.

The Triumph was originally unveiled at the Fender booth during the NAMM show in California last year and captivated all who had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of it.

Christian Clayton, owner of Sucker Punch Sally’s, is pleased with the progress of the hot rod Tundra as well as the company’s collaboration with Fender, the legendary guitar-maker.

“We enjoy projects like these. It gives us the opportunity to take some creative liberties and have fun,” he explains. “We had the opportunity to build something special for Fender last year that embodied the spirit of their product. The Thruxton is a magnificent machine and the Toyota hot rod promises to be just as insane. Having the hot rod and the Triumph together is going to be incredible.”

Founded in 2002, Sucker Punch Sally’s continues to stay true to their traditional biker values by providing the best stripped-down bobbers and choppers at the most reasonable prices. The old school no-nonsense style of bikes that started Sucker Punch Sally’s are the bikes they still build today, only now with the convenience of modern manufacturing practices.

The Traditional and the 66 Bobber both received industry awards in 2007 and are the two models that the company was founded on. They have the capacity to build 100 bikes a month at their manufacturing facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., including the widely anticipated Swinger. Their model line has been built up to six different models, with the additions of the stealthy Slim and the retro-styled Hot Rod.

Sucker Punch Sally’s continuously growing dealer network throughout the U.S. showcases the wide variety of bikes they have available, all of which exude SPS style. S&S Cycle Presents Today?s Top Custom Bike Builders–By Howard Kelly Photography by Mike Lichter.
In 1958 George Smith started a small company called S & S Cycle. His mission: ?To make all bikes go faster.? Fifty years later, S & S Cycle is everything Smith envisioned. To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, the world?s premiere builder of aftermarket V-twin motorcycle engines and components commissioned custom motorcycles from fifty top builders.

The competition that grew out of this challenge unfolds in the pages of S & S Presents Today’s Top Custom Bike Builders, which showcases the splendid bikes built for S & S?s fiftieth anniversary show. The book, beginning with a brief history of S & S Cycle, features four-page spreads on each motorcycle, along with profiles of the builders–including Chica, Cory Ness, Paul Cox, Jerry Covington, Jesse Rooke, Redneck Engineering, Arlen Ness, Kim Suter, Brian Klock, Kendall Johnson, Roger Bourget, Rick Fairless, Fred Kodlin, and Paul Teuttel Sr.

With illustrations by master custom-bike photographer Michael Lichter, this is as much a celebration of the custom builder?s art as it is a tribute to S & S Cycle?s accomplishment.
