Reporting in on a cool and calm Sunday. Bandit left Friday to Denver for the ?The Meeting Of The Minds? legislative conference. He called this morning to report that it went very well. He was a keynote speaker on Saturday, discussing EPA, noise, helmet issues and Bikers rights. He took along 100 copies of the Bikernet.com Independent Motorcycle Noise Study and they were gone in a flash. He reports that things look good for bikers for 2009. He will go in to details later. Hold it. I was not the Keynote speaker. I was on a panel that included H-D factory reps, Hollywood from the AMA and Duane from the MIC. We discussed legislative concerns and efforts. I discussed our Freedom film effort, the Bikernet Noise Study, Our effort to support Motorcycle Rights through the custom aftermarket and our EPA study with Stu Prince of Pegasus Fuel Injection, a professor at Cal State Northridge. Of course since Bandit was out of town I had the girls over last night. Nothing too wild this time though. Thai food dinner, Cosmopolitan Martinis and Pecan Pie. We watched a chick flick, of course, and talked about home renovations, antiques, vintage clothes and relationships. Most of my girlfriends are lesbians so the conversation in the restaurant was graphic girl/girl exploits and dilemmas. We did get a few raised eyebrows but what the hell, it was fun.
