I called Kip Woodring at California H-D and ordered the wire connections for the transmission neutral switch, then discovered my sprocket wasn’t getting tight because there was no sprocket space extending from the seal. Plus, in the middle of this scramble, I need to fly to Washington and pick up a 2004 Chevy Xpress Van and drive it back to LA, which will burn through about 3 days.
On one hand, it’s all coming together. I spoke for Frank from Kendon and ordered a combo, stand up trailer. It should be ready next week. So basically all the elements are in reach. Good god. NOTE: Can’t wait to see the results from patients on the Cytta Mobile Network that are in the Heritage Provider Network. This will be a game changing moment that every payer in the industry will be looking at.

AUSTRALIAN STATES UNITE TO RESTRICT MC CLUBS–A meeting of state and territory attorneys-general has agreed to make it tougher for motorcycle clubs to move across state borders.
The meeting in Melbourne has decided to put into law mutual recognition provisions to stop criminals escaping the law in one state by moving to another.
To bring it into line with the laws implemented in other states, Victoria will toughen its approach to dealing with the clubs later this year.
Victorian Attorney-General Robert Clark says it means if motorcycle clubss are outlawed in one jurisdiction, they will not be able to head interstate to escape.
“We’ve agreed to form a group that will ensure all the states, including Victoria, have got strong and effective mutual recognition laws, so if a bikie gang has been outlawed in another state, that can be enforced here in Victoria,” he said.
Mr Clark says the latest moves will give motorcycle clubs nowhere to hide.
“The states and territories agreed to cooperate on getting tough and effective mutual recognition provisions into anti-bikie gang laws,” he said.
“So what that will mean is there will be nowhere to hide, outlaw bikie gangs that are banned in one jurisdiction won’t simply be able to hop across the border into another jurisdiction
The meeting of attorneys-general also agreed to oppose the federal government seeking a general power over unexplained wealth laws, Mr Clark said.
That could disrupt the validity of state asset confiscation laws and the work of states in tackling drug trafficking, he said.
Mr Clark called for the federal government to seek the agreement of states and territories before expanding commonwealth criminal laws that could put state laws at risk.

STURGIS Winding down, albeit slowly – the report sums it up– Final Report.
Well it seems that a heap of people had such a good time at Sturgis this year that they did not want to leave. The Main St pic was taken around 5.00pm Saturday evening and shows a surprising number of people still intent on posing up and down the street as well as carrying on with partying in the bars.
A local trader with whom I spoke said he couldn’t remember a rally where so many people seemed to be staying on.
All vendor reports have been extremely positive for both interest and sales. A Performance Machine representative said they have sold and fitted a record number of their beautiful wheels this week and other companies also reported good results.
Supertrapp have experienced a great deal of interest in the wide range of exhaust systems that they offer and their Jaybrake line of products is capturing attention also. Hawg Halters continue to power along with their braking systems as well as their forward controls and other products.
Joel Felty of Headwinds has spent his usual Sturgis week at his Lazelle site, fitting stacks of headlights along with other lighting products.
So all in all every vendor I spoke with had a smile and a feeling of satisfaction for their week’s efforts.
The list of Saturday’s activities is quite lengthy and includes the Sturgis Moto Show, an exhibit called “Paving the Way: Women of the Hall of Fame”, a Memorial Ride to the Black Hills National Cemetery and Extreme Sport Fighting, among many others.
The trends are very clear: Baggers are a major Go with customized baggers being seen all over. Choppers are still hanging in there, albeit in greatly reduced numbers and garage built Bobbers are hot among the younger set. Mr and Mrs Middle of the Road are settling for accessorizing their Harley-Davidson motorcycles with the line blurring between a bike, which has been customized, and one that has been simply accessorized with a slew of bolt on goodies.
But at the end of the day, it does not matter what you ride, but the fact that you do. That’s it for me until next year. Ride safe but have fun! See ya next year.

Off our ass and on the salt in 13 short days.
Hot, with a 100% chance of a hot day on the horizon in Morgan Hill, CA. Two days ago, Friday afternoon we loaded and secured the 5-BALL Raycer in my Ranger short bed for a 30-minute ride to the Beach Racing facility tucked away on the west side of town.
Vince and the Mike Corbin magic crew have cut, fit, re-fit and massaged all of the Raycers body parts for the perfect fit. We head back to Corbin’s Thursday to mount the painted pieces.
Last week the owner of Pegasus Performance, Ray Whitehead eye-balled the Bonneville project on the rack in Brad’s shop. He picked up a clip board and said “We’ll need templates and measurements,” which we supplied. As of Friday afternoon parts are being fabricated other than handlebar mounts. One of Ray’s machines took a timely crap. No sweat we have plan B in effect. The air plenum has been our biggest concern, not to worry. Military grade material is being machined to accept a square O-ring between the plenums mating surfaces for an air tight seal.
Expected completion and delivery of the plenum upgrade mid-week or just in time for a Friday start-up date in Napa with Mike Spencer at the NCDL , Northern California Diagnostic Laboratories.
Next on the short list is the starting and charging systems. We expect delivery of all the necessary pieces from the Spyke offices any second now, or at least by Wednesday. Remember the Friday start up? Here we come.

THE BIKERNET DUAL TIMKEN BEARING LOWEREND RESEARCH PROJECT–
As you can see by the time of this email I’m up late. I’m working 3rd shift now at work.
Anyway since I’m up I started brainstorming again, checking out on doing a Evo pinion bearing conversion
for the Twin Cams.
On the pinion shaft for the T.C. It also has a pressed on pinion race like the late model 3
pc. Evo flywheel’s. So this race can be replaced and ground with a new one from one the
flywheel rebuilders in the industry.
It would be have to be made up or maybe adapted from a Evo Big Twin inner pinion bearing race. Using the 2 thrust washers and standard Evo pinion bearing retaining ring that keeps the bearing in place.
Next is the outer pinion race insert for the T.C. R.H. case. It has to be engineered from scratch.
Have to find a way to secure it to the case. Maybe with a retaining flange so it can be secured
and retained in the cam chest compartment of the R.H. case with screw’s. Also need to figure out
where to oil the bearing at.
Most engine builders have the old Evo style pinion race lap laying around in their tool boxes. The R.H. case would then need to be line lapped with the L.H. case. Just like in the old days of engine building by a skilled HD engine rebuilder.
I’m staying focused on this because the current T.C. pinion bearing is just a bad joke from the “Funny Farm.” I’m not buying the way they have done this. In other words it’s bullshit to me . Engineered to save pennies.
I’ve seen the wear and damage a T.C. “Wobbly Shaft” flywheel pinion shaft can do in the cam chest area.

STURGIS WINDING DOWN BONNEVILLE WINDING UP—Speed Week is happening now, and Bub’s event is just 13 days away. One of our major hassles has been a trailer, for a couple of reasons. First, a Hamster buddy wanted me to stash his trailer away from an X. I did so, then a friend of his borrowed it, and I can’t get it back.
So, thanks to Richard K. I’m getting a fantastic van in Tacoma, but suddenly my trailer connection dried up. We’ve thought about toy hauler trailers, but we have a small yard and parking area. The Kendon stand-up trailers are perfect, since we will have hauling space in the Express van. It’s perfect. I’m like many of my brothers. I’m not a trailer fan, but when it comes to racing, it’s a must. And Kendon has the shit for a guy with little space.
We will bring you more reports in the very near future. Okay, so here’s a peak at my week. Later today I’m taking Sin Wu to the airport. She can’t handle the pressure around the shop. Her and her girlfriend could have saved my ass and picked up the Van, but nooo. They are going to lounge around San Francisco. Paint will be ready Monday or Tuesday. I need a starter, that sprocket spacer, a brake line, and I need fire wrap for all of our gas lines. I’m hoping Baker Performance on Signal Hill can help.
Try to relax, I can’t, but I’ll attempt to look calm.
