Happy Easter,
I mentioned in the news about a story I told, and how I wasn’t sure how my listener would respond. All is well and she got the joke. I dodged another bullet.
This next week will be interesting. We have a serious line-up of striking content. And Richard is working on his second Bagger rebuild articles. As it turns out there are way more handling options available than we anticipated.
We will lay out all the options and ask you for more info and guidance. Let us know what you think.
Let’s hit the news, then I’ll give up all the content secrets.

I was fortunate enough to come upon an old Sears Allstate 250cc Single. Inside the headlight it says Made in Italy. I also noted a number on the frame up by the yoke, or steering neck. It is stamped 1512800 or 151280D not sure of last digit.
I cannot find any information pertaining to identifying the type, make, or year of my new toy?

While I’m no expert, I did a little research and can tell you what I’ve found:
From what I’m finding, the number he’s giving would have been on the 175 cc model made in 1954 by the Puch company in Austria (the VIN should be on the left side of the engine below the cylinder or on the steering head on the frame, next to the tag with the model number). Not sure why the headlight says “Made in Italy” – what I’m finding indicates that the only Sears branded motorcycles made in Italy were made by Gilera but they were not branded as “Allstate” – only as “Sears”
There is a Sears Allstate facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sears-Allstate-Motorcycles/66476841736
I tend to recommend that folks contact the Antique Motorcycle Club of America when they have questions like these as there are often members who have a particular expertise in various brands.
Hope that helps a little.

ALL GIRLS BIKER BAR– An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake. He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, ‘Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?’
The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, ‘Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, Given that you are blind, that you should know five things: 1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat. 2. The bouncer is a blonde girl. 3. I’m a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate. 4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifter. 5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler. Now, think about it seriously, Cowboy. Do you still wanna tell that blonde joke?’
The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head and mutters, ‘Hell No…not if I’m gonna have to explain it five times.’

WAR DECLARED BETWEEN TURTLES AND CATTLE–Front Sight Blog: Is THIS the Hidden Reason for Heavy Handed Federal Response to Illegal Cattle Grazing?
My New Year’s Resolution is to be as pro-active as possible in spreading the truth about the importance of our cherished Second Amendment, while exposing the liars, whores and thieves who conspire to strip us of our freedoms, and to continue to provide you and the rest of America with the absolute greatest opportunities to become armed and trained.
I firmly believe our future, and the future of our children and grandchildren, depends on it.
As part of my New Year’s Resolution, I will do my very best to deliver to you hard-hitting and entertaining blogs. You can help greatly, by doing two things for me…
I have another video that possibly provides some evidence as to WHY there was such a heavy handed response by the federal government over what they initially claimed was illegal cattle grazing, and then delinquent cattle grazing fees, and then protection for desert tortoises.
And here is a video from FOX News that you won’t see on any other news networks. FOX shares the first-hand account from a reporter who was at the scene of the armed standoff between the federal government and hundreds of American citizens in the desert near Las Vegas on April 12, and this reporter was so moved by the conviction of the patriots, he actually involved himself in trying to negotiate the peace.
FOX also gives some background on the dispute that caused ARMED citizens to converged on the scene to support and prevent armed agents of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from confiscating a private citizen’s cattle.
Make no mistake, it was not the hundreds of protesters who stopped the federal government from their actions. Had it just been unarmed protesters with signs and flags, the outcome would have been the same as any protest you have witnessed in our lifetimes. Protesters would have been ordered to disperse and those who did not would have been pepper sprayed, beaten, and arrested.
No, this protest was different. This was much more than a simple, unarmed protest. This time, there were citizens with handguns, shotguns, and rifles who would not back down and who demonstrated the willingness to use their guns against the government forces should the government fail to disperse.
Fortunately, the government chose to withdraw and deescalate the conflict.
It was the proper decision. Had a shot been fired, by either side, there were hundreds of thousands of armed and trained citizens from the western states who were watching and would have ultimately been drawn into a battle with the federal government. Such a battle would have forced local and state law makers and law enforcement to either stand with the government or stand with the citizens. Americans from both sides would have been injured and killed.
Yes, this was a very tense, historic, and precedent setting conflict. This was our generation’s “Old North Bridge” This could have been the second “shot heard round the world.”
Fortunately, the government chose to withdraw and deescalate the conflict. I thank them for their better judgment in this situation.
THERE IS NO JOY IN ARMED BATTLE WITH THE GOVERNMENT. Americans will die on both sides.
If a gunfight can be avoided, whether with an individual or our government, it should be avoided.
Only when the government leaves us no choice, as when the British marched on our forefathers to confiscate their weapons and ammunition, should we consider use of force. Let’s hope it never comes to that and a good lesson was learned by both sides.
Hopefully the government learned that there will be no more Waco type sieges because armed citizens are watching and ready to respond to assist their fellow citizens. Hopefully the government now better understands that they only hold the power that “We the People” entrust to them under our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

HAWAIIAN BIKERS UNDER ATTACK–
The aloha state is no longer considered safe for motorists lately. Drivers have been maliciously targeting motorcyclists on the roads of Oahu, causing more than just fender benders. One in particular known to drive a white van, has a passenger who sometimes records the attacks on motorcyclists, is known to carry a gun, and has injured more than a handful of people.
Unfortunately, this criminal offense is on-going and still out there creating chaos for riders and their families. The most recent victim, Robert Johnson, was badly injured and nearly killed by the white van driver. Riders from Oahu are coming together to take a stand.
Watch Out, a motorcycle and motor vehicle safety awareness group, gathered motorcycle clubs, independent riders, and anyone who wants to get involved, to start coming up with a plan to get their voices heard. he President Of Watch Out, Jack Huges, along with Vice President Jesse Gatewood and other bored members addressed the issue at a
meeting held April 17th, 7pm at the Fleet Reserve association in Honolulu.
A growing concern amongst fellow riders was nearly palpable as riders shared stories of their personal experiences in these types of incidents. Many questions came up prompting the need to get law enforcement involved in future meetings, though local law enforcement was contacted for this meeting, proper procedure did not allow enough time to schedule a representative from Honolulu Police department to be present. Still, thanks to KITV4 news voices are being heard as can be seen in the news report link below.
If you have any experience or knowledge on how to legally address such an issue please contact Jack Hughes at: jack@watchouthawaii.org

MOTORCYCLE GLORY DAYS RELIVED DURING EASTER–More than 200 vintage motorcycles from all over Australia are in Bathurst for the 40th anniversary of the first visit to Bathurst by the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Australia (NSW).
The club has visited Bathurst each year since the rally was first held in 1974.
The participants pump several hundred thousand dollars into the local economy during the eight-day rally.
A lot of people stay on in the area after the rally is finished to do some sightseeing.
Rally director Don Liddle said 222 bikes have been entered this year, with riders, their partners and, in some cases, whole families coming along for the ride.
The first rally Don and his wife Colleen organised 40 years ago had just 38 riders.
“It really has grown over the years, which is very encouraging to us,” he said.
“Some of these blokes I’ve known since I went to school with them. A lot have motorcycle racing backgrounds, a lot don’t.”
The first rally came about when the club received a request from the Auto Cycle Union in 1973 to put on a display at the Easter bike races at Mount Panorama.
Vintage motorcycle enthusiasts have travelled to Bathurst this year from Queensland, Canberra, Victoria, Western Australia, and all over NSW.
The group has made the Big 4 Caravan Park its home base and each morning head off on a day ride, keeping to the back roads.
They kicked off last Sunday with a visit to the National Motor Racing Museum and Ash’s Speedway Museum, followed by a series of organized day trips throughout the week.
Today riders will make their way to Tarana via Oberon; tomorrow they will head to Burraga; on Sunday the group will travel to Forest’s Reef via Blayney; and on Monday many will leave for home.
“It’s all good fun,” Mr Liddle said.
He said the oldest motorcycle taking part in the rally is a 1908 Triumph. Other beautiful old motorcycles include a 1914 BSA, a 1928 Triumph and a 1929 Indian Scout. Mr Liddle (above) is riding his 1953 Harley Davidson.
“It’s an old-fashioned rally. We are just a bunch of fellas who like riding old motorbikes,” he said. “Look around. Some of us are as old as our bikes. These were the bikes we rode when we were young.”
Mr Liddle said rally participants range in age from 30 to 85.
“Young fellas who grew up coming on the rally are now bringing their own little ones,” he said.
The rally is self funding, and any money that is left over at the end, the club gives to charity.
This year they are donating $1000 to the Salvation Army.

AUSSIE COPS TARGET REBELS–
Cops from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor have seized firearms, drugs, alcohol and cash as part of an ongoing ‘offensive’ targeting the Rebels motorcycle club in the Australian state of New South Wales.
Over the course four days (Monday 14 April – Thursday 17 April 2014), Strike Force Raptor undertook a number of operations throughout greater Sydney, resulting in the seizure of 18 guns, 445 rounds of ammunition and four other weapons, as well as amounts of steroids, methylamphetamine, cannabis and alcohol.
Twelve Rebels members and alleged ‘associates’ will face court for 25 offences as a result of the operation.
Significant activity undertaken during the offensive included:
* The seizure of 11 registered firearms (eight rifles, three shotguns) and 75 rounds of ammunition from a Rebels member and his partner on Monday (14 April 2014). The 47-year-old member and his 46-year-old girlfriend, who live in Erskine Park, both had their firearms licences suspended. Four guns registered in his name, and seven registered in her name, were subsequently seized by Raptor investigators.
* The seizure of four registered firearms from a Rebels member on Monday (14 April 2014). The 37-year-old man from Woodbine subsequently had his firearms licence suspended.
* The execution of a restricted-premises search warrant at the Rebels Leppington clubhouse on Tuesday (15 April 2014), resulting in police searching 69 people, 28 cars and three motorcycles, and seizing prohibited drugs, weapons and more than 220 bottles of alcohol.
This search warrant also resulted in officers locating 30 steroid tablets, which police will allege in court was in the possession of a 27-year-old “Sergeant-at-Arms” of a Rebels OMCG. Also found were 15 grams of cannabis, which police will allege was on a 30-year-old Rebels associate, and a small amount of methylamphetamine, which police will allege was on a 22-year-old Rebels nominee. All three have been charged with drug-related offences.
A 46-year-old member of the Rebels was arrested after he allegedly assaulted some of the officers involved in the search warrant. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of assault police and one count of resisting arrest.
While carrying out the warrant, investigators from Strike Force Raptor also served a Rebels “Sergeant-at-Arms” member with a court attendance notice for outstanding traffic matters, and a 40-year-old member of the Rebels Blacktown Chapter with a court attendance notice for possession of prohibited weapons, relating to 45 knuckle dusters found at a property on 3 April 2014.
During the restricted-premises search warrant at the Leppington clubhouse, Strike Force Raptor investigators also served nine exclusion orders, banning a number of Rebels members from the Crown Casino in Melbourne. Police also issued 14 traffic-infringement notices, 10 defect notices, one suspension notice, and one referral to the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
* The execution of two Firearms Prohibition Searches at residential premises in Prestons and Camperdown, on Wednesday (16 April 2014). No adverse items were located.
* The issuing of consorting warnings to 12 members of the Rebels in the Liverpool area, who were in attendance together at a dessert bar on Macquarie Street, Liverpool, on Wednesday (16 April 2014) evening.
* A 29-year-old man has been charged after police conducted a safe-storage inspection at the Edensor Park home of a Rebels associate on Thursday (17 April 2014). During their investigations, police located three firearms and 96 rounds of ammunition, which police will allege in court were being stored in contradiction to safe-storage requirements. The man’s firearms licence was suspended and he was charged with not keeping firearms safely.
*A third Firearms Prohibition Search was conducted at a Kingswood workshop of a senior member of the Rebels Windsor chapter on Thursday (17 April 2014). This search resulted in the seizure of a controlled electronic device, methylamphetamine and steroids. Investigations continue.
The operations undertaken by Strike Force Raptor were conducted in tandem with operations by the Attero National Task Force, a national alliance of law-enforcement agencies targeting the illegal activities of the Rebels.
The Attero National Task Force was established by the Serious Organised Crime Coordination Committee (SOCCC) on 1 February 2012 and subsequently endorsed by as an Australian Crime Commission (ACC) Board approved Task Force.
Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting motorcycle clubs and any associated criminal enterprises.
BIKERNET UNIVERSITY CAN’T LEAVE US ALONE EVEN ON EASTER–
leveret
LEV-er-it , noun;
1.
a young hare.
Caterina moved through all this joy and beauty like a poor wounded leveret painfully dragging its little body through the sweet clover-tufts…
Underline the correct word: As calf to cow, so leveret to hare. As flock to deer, so school to whales. I had circled a number of triangles and squared some circles, done underlining and filled in the answer on the dotted line.
Origin:
Leveret comes to English from the Anglo-French word which is a diminutive form of levre meaning “hare.”
THE BIKERNET UNIVERSITY BOARD OF REGENTS MET ON EASTER SUNDAY TO DISCUSS–The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.
The six contradictions of socialism in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
And that pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st century .

PROTECT THE DHARMA—Life is nuts. I just watched the Wolf of Wall Street. We’ve lived through a tremendous amount of decadence. As usual when too much money is involved, then morale decay hits hard. It’s fascinating.
Here’s another thought. Let me know what you think? We are all inundated with the discussions of Obamacare. I’ve spoken to guys who would lose everything if they don’t have some help with medical bills. They are very pleased with socialized medicine. I know poor folks who still don’t like it. They would rather be left alone and pay a doctor when they want one.
I find it interesting that we have come this far to elect a black President. But then isn’t he enslaving the entire population with Obamacare. Now we will all be slaves to the government under the premise of safety and saving medical dollars. Let me know what you think.
Enough of that. Here’s the start of the Bikernet editorial list for next week.
