‘UberMOTO’ is only a pilot service for now, and is restricted to Bangkok, but it’s likely to quickly meet a demand in the congested cities in the region and demand for services such as Singapore’s taxi-hailing app Grab.
With a population around 600 million people living mostly in large cities, Southeast Asia is a key market for companies like Uber.
